Darbu is a village within the parish of Fiskum, in the municipality of Øvre Eiker, Buskerud County, Norway. The population of the village was 539 as of 2019.Darbu is located on the Sørland Line Railway, 81.61 km from Oslo, about midway between Kongsberg and Hokksund. Darbu Station was opened in 1871 when the railway branch line between Hokksund and Kongsberg was completed.Fiskum Old Church (Fiskum Gamle Kirke) is the community's most important heritage site. This is a medieval, Romanesque church dating from approximately 1200 A.D. The church was dedicated to Saint Olav. Fiskum Old Church was constructed in a rectangular shape and built of stone. It was one of the smaller local churches and used only occasionally in summer. The church consists of a short nave and a lower and narrower, the right end of choir. The church is built of stone fracture in lime mortar and plastered inside. The pulpit dates from 1650. The altarpiece and baptismal font date from approx. 1713. The tower contained three bells in 1629, which were changed into two clocks during 1685–1689.

Fiskum is a parish in the municipality Øvre Eiker in Buskerud, Norway. The parish name comes from the farm Fiskum. In the 17th century, Fiskum Manor (Fiskum gård) was a nobleman's estate. Among the owners were Governor-general Jens Hermansson Juel, Admiral Ove Gjedde and Governor-general Hannibal Sehested. The village of Darbu is the principal settlement in the parish. This is the site of Darbu Station as well as the local post office. There are two churches in Fiskum parish.Fiskum Old Church (Fiskum gamle kirke) was built in the 13th century in the village of Darbu. The medieval church was constructed in a rectangular shape, with a short, rectangular nave and lower and narrower, straight closed choir. The edifice is of brick and has 150 seats. The church has a gable roof, and the roof ridge, in the middle of the nave sits a turret. The church went out of active service in 1866 when it was replaced by a new church.Fiskum Church (Fiskum kirke) was built north of Fiskum Old Church. It was designed by Heinrich Ernst Schirmer and built in 1866, but burned down in 1902. The walls were considered to be usable, and the restoration of the church were carried out according to plans prepared by architect Jørgen Berner (1873–1955). It was rebuilt in 1903 but burned down again in 1940. Architect Arnstein Arneberg designed the present church which was finished in 1945. The new church was built in cruciform form in a Gothic Revival style with a tower. Arnstein Arneberg used the ruins of the previous church, and carried several items from structure including windows and an arch over the entrance. The church has a heavy, medieval door.

Ormåsen is a village in Buskerud, Norway. It is a 0.41 square kilometres (0.16 sq mi) residential area located the municipality of Øvre Eiker. The village was built during 1986. Ormåsen is located midway between Hokksund and Vestfossen. As of 2005, the population was 809. Ormåsen has a private weather station which is located approximately 280 metres (920 ft) above sea level.

Øvre Eiker is a municipality in Buskerud county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Eiker. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Hokksund. The old municipality of Eiker was divided into Øvre Eiker (upper Eiker) and Nedre Eiker (lower) on 1 July 1885. As of 2015, more employees worked for the [municipal] government and in the service sector, than in any other field of employment; even fewer—16 %—are employed in construction or in [electrical] power companies and water companies; [13%] work in the manufacturing sector.

Skollenborg is a small village in Sandsvær in the municipality of Kongsberg in Viken county, Norway. Since 2015 Skollenborg has been a part of the Kongsberg urban area. Skollenborg is situated in the valley of Lågendalen on the Numedalslågen river. The village is located at the intersection between Norwegian county roads FV40 and FV286 which leads to European route E134. It is situated 86 km from Oslo and about 46 km from Drammen. The population of the village was 323 in 2014. Since 2015 population numbers has not been reported separately for Skollenborg, but only for the Kongsberg urban area. The village of Skollenborg is the site of Skollenborg Station (Skollenborg stasjon), a disused railway station on the Sørlandet Line. The station was served by local trains between Kongsberg via Oslo to Eidsvoll operated by Norges Statsbaner until 2012. To the west of the village lies the Skollenborg power plant (Skollenborg kraftverk).Hedenstad Church (Hedenstad kirke) is a medieval stone church. It was built in the 12th century. The bell tower dates from 1782. The interior of the church is mainly from the 1800s. The painted by Dina Aschehoug in 1888. The church was restored in 1889 based upon plans by architect Herman Backer. During the 1950s, the church was restored under the direction of architect Thomas Tostrup (1910-1971) and the artistic consultant Finn Krafft (1895-1967).

Hokksund Station (Norwegian: Hokksund stasjon) is located in the village of Hokksund in Øvre Eiker, Norway on the Sørlandet Line. The station is served by local trains between Kongsberg via Oslo to Eidsvoll operated by the Vy as well as express trains from Oslo to Bergen and Kristiansand.

Eiker is a traditional district in the county of Buskerud, Norway.

Burud is a village in Øvre Eiker municipality in Buskerud, Norway. Burud is located on the western bank of Drammenselva, 75 kilometers from Oslo. It had a train station (Burud stasjon) which dated to 1875 on the Randsfjordbanen between Hokksund and Skotselv. This building was demolished in 1988. The station was downgraded to stop downloading tracks with passenger traffic closed down in 2001.
