St Symphorian's Church, Durrington

Durrington is a neighbourhood of Worthing and former civil parish, now in the borough of Worthing in West Sussex, England. Historically in Sussex, in the rape of Bramber, it is situated near the A27 road, 2.3 miles (3.7 km) northwest of the town centre. Since 1992 it has been home to the community-led Durrington Festival.

Cote (also Walcote or Coate) was a hamlet in the former parish of Durrington, West Sussex (now a suburb of Worthing), England. It is 3 miles (4.8 km) northwest of Worthing. The old Chichester–Brighton Roman road ran tangentially to the south of the hamlet. "Cote" comes from the Old English word for a dwelling or home (not strictly a cottage), and is widespread in place names in Sussex. There is an area of public amenity land at Cote Bottom, known as the Bird Sanctuary and owned by Worthing Council since 1941.

Oak Grove College is a coeducational special school and sixth form maintained by West Sussex County Council. The school provides special education for students with learning difficulties from Year 7 to Year 14. In late 2016 the school was awarded foundation level of the British Council’s International School Award in recognition of its work to bring the world into the classroom.

RAF Durrington was a World War II ground-controlled interception (GCI) radar station in Durrington, West Sussex, a neighbourhood in Worthing in the United Kingdom. RAF Durrington was one of six radar stations built in coastal areas in 1941 to improve the radar capability of the Royal Air Force during night bombing raids by the Axis powers.

Durrington or High Salvington Windmill is a Grade II listed post mill in High Salvington, Sussex that has been restored and is in full working order. The mill stands 320 feet (98 m) above sea level and is able to take advantage of incoming sea winds.

It is served by three elected Worthing Borough Councillors at any given time, currently Nicola Waight, Noel Atkins and Michael Cloake, all Conservative.Salvington is thought to mean either 'Seawolf's farmstead' (Sǣwulf's farmstead) or less romantically, Sǣlāf's farmstead (literally the farmstead of someone named 'sea-leavings' or 'flotsam').Salvington was originally a hamlet within the parish of West Tarring. When most of Tarring became part of Worthing in 1902, Salvington joined the parish of Durrington which included nearby High Salvington. Salvington finally became part of the borough of Worthing in 1929.Salvington is probably best known as the birthplace of the great jurist and antiquarian John Selden in 1584. The cottage in which he lived was demolished in the 1960s when it fell into disrepair and was replaced with a row of bungalows. However Salvington's main public house, Ye John Selden, retains his name. Salvington is also home to 'Old Sussex House' in Salvington Road. This 16th-century building, originally known as 'Salvington Lets' is a listed building and retains in its attic what is possibly the last cockfighting pen in Sussex, surrounded by a thin oak trellis hammered together with hand-made nails.

Durrington High School is a Coeducational secondary school located in Worthing, West Sussex. The school operated as a high school between 1973 and 2015 as part of Worthing's three-tier provision. From September 2015 the school became a standard secondary for 11 – 16-year-olds. The school converted to academy status on 1 April 2014.
