Woronora

Woronora Cemetery railway station was a funerary railway station on the Illawarra railway line in New South Wales, Australia. The station served the Woronora Memorial Park. The station opened months after the first burial in 1900, and closed in 1947 due to the rising popularity in funeral motor cars. The station itself consisted of a 134m brick platform with a wooden building. After closure, the station was demolished and the tracks removed.

The Woronora River Bridge, also known as Woronora Bridge, is a four-lane road bridge that carries River Road across the Woronora River at Woronora, in Southern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The bridge, at the time of its completion in 2001, was the largest incrementally launched bridge in the Southern Hemisphere with horizontal and vertical curves.

It was originally intended to be the site of the first British Settlement, before Sydney Cove was chosen as the location during the First Fleet.

Its postcode is 2226, which it shares with neighbouring Jannali and Como. Bonnet Bay is located on the eastern bank of the Woronora River, which flows north into the Georges River. The suburb draws its name from the adjacent bay of the same name. Its terrain consists of Sydney sandstone with steep gullies, creeks, escarpments and one sandstone plateau.In terms of crime rates, Bonnet Bay has been ranked to be among the top ten safest suburbs in Sydney.

St Patrick's College is an independent Roman Catholic co-educational secondary day school, located in Sutherland, Southern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The college provides a general and religious education for students from Year 7 to Year 12. The school traces its founding to Christian Brothers College, established as an upper primary school in 1956 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers. In 1992, it merged with Mary Immaculate College, which had been founded in 1959 by the Presentation Sisters of Wagga Wagga. Woronora Heights is located 29 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Sutherland Shire. Woronora is a separate suburb, to the north. Most streets in Woronora Heights are named after birds.
