St Patrick's College, Sutherland

Horizon Church, founded as Sutherland AOG, and formerly more recently Shirelive, is a Pentecostal Christian church affiliated with Australian Christian Churches, the Australian branch of the Assemblies of God denomination. The church's main campus is in the commercial district of Sutherland, a southern suburb of Sydney, New South Wales. The church's senior pastors are Brad and Alison Bonhomme, and the former Prime Minister of Australia, Scott Morrison, is a member of the congregation. Apart from the original church in Sutherland, Horizon also has satellite churches in St Andrews, a south-western suburb of Sydney; Dunsborough, Western Australia; and Rote Island in Indonesia, and as of March 2022 is planning another campus in Western Sydney.

Kirrawee is a suburb in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Kirrawee is located 25 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district in the Sutherland Shire. Kirrawee lies between Sutherland, to the west, and Gymea and Grays Point, to the east. Kirrawee's southern border is formed by The Royal National Park, while Kareela and Jannali form the northern border. Kirrawee is split between commercial and residential areas. Approximately 50% of the area to the north of the train line is occupied by commercial and industrial properties, while almost all of the area south of the train line is residential. South Kirrawee, which extends from the train line in the north to the Royal National Park in the south, has many houses on quiet roads with beautiful bush outlooks. North Kirrawee is predominantly a commercial/industrial zone containing small to medium-sized factories housing local businesses. It is also home to a number of petrol stations, car dealerships and a fast food chain outlet. However, the most northerly and western sections of this part of Kirrawee are residential, with some parts also with bush outlooks.

Sutherland Shire is a local government area in the southern region of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The Sutherland Shire is located just south of the Sydney CBD, and comprises an area of 370 square kilometres (140 sq mi) and as at the 2016 census and has an estimated population of 218,464. Sutherland Shire is colloquially known as "The Shire" and has featured in several reality television series. Geographically, it is the area to the south of Botany Bay and the Georges River. The Sutherland Shire is 26 kilometres (16 mi) south of Sydney central business district, and is bordered by the Bayside Council, City of Canterbury-Bankstown, City of Wollongong, City of Liverpool, Georges River Council and City of Campbelltown local government areas. The administrative centre of the local government is located in the suburb of Sutherland, with council chambers located in Eton Street. As of 10 January 2022 the mayor of the Sutherland Shire is Cr. Carmelo Pesce, a Liberal.The Sutherland Shire contains what was the first landing site of Lieutenant James Cook, who went ashore onto what is now the suburb of Kurnell on 29 April 1770. It was originally intended to be the site of the first British Settlement, before Sydney Cove was chosen as the location during the First Fleet.

Woronora Cemetery railway station was a funerary railway station on the Illawarra railway line in New South Wales, Australia. The station served the Woronora Memorial Park. The station opened months after the first burial in 1900, and closed in 1947 due to the rising popularity in funeral motor cars. The station itself consisted of a 134m brick platform with a wooden building. After closure, the station was demolished and the tracks removed.

Kirrawee High School is a comprehensive co-educational high school located in Kirrawee, New South Wales, Australia. The school was opened in 1966 and now caters for around 1,200 students, most continuing their education from three local primary schools, Gymea Bay, Grays Point and Kirrawee. The school is a Languages High School which also offers a comprehensive education in sports and in the performing arts, with musician James Morrison, who plays a concert at the school every year, a close mentor for the school's Jazz Orchestra. In the Sutherland Cronulla Education District, Kirrawee High school was second only to the academic selective high school Caringbah High School. Extra-curricular activities offered include debating and public speaking, musical and dramatic productions, the Student Council, community service, charitable collections and fund raising and many sports programs. Brett McKay, the head science teacher, has been awarded the Prime Minister's Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching.

Jannali is a suburb in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Jannali is located 28 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of the Sutherland Shire. The majority of land use in Jannali is residential and bushland reserve, while the suburb is bisected by the north–south railway line. The majority of Jannali's enterprises are located close to the suburb's railway station.
