Lonmay railway station was a railway station in Lonmay, Aberdeenshire.

Lonmay (Scottish Gaelic: Lòn Magh) is a village and parish in the Buchan area of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It lies along the A90 road, between Peterhead and Fraserburgh, near to the junction with the A952 road at Cortes. The parish, formerly known as St Colms, encompasses the villages of St Combs (to which it lent its name) and Crimond, as well as the village of Lonmay. It had a station on the Formartine and Buchan Railway, but this closed in 1965. The present Lonmay Kirk dates from 1786. Lonmay is largely agricultural and has several historic properties, notably Cairness House. Lonmay is said to be the home of the ancestors of Elvis Presley.

Rathen is a parish and hamlet near Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. In Scottish Gaelic, its name means fort on the river. On the coast is Cairnbulg Point, flanking the eastern side of Fraserburgh Bay. Mormond Hill (769 feet (234 m)) sits on the borders of Rathen, Strichen and Lonmay. Rathen Burn runs through the parish for three miles. The old kirk, St Ethernan's, is one of the most ancient in Aberdeenshire. The church was given, by Marjory, Countess of Buchan, to Arbroath Abbey in the 13th century. In 1328, Robert the Bruce, a year before his death, granted it to the college and canons of Old Machar. A sundial was added in the kirkyard in 1625, and the church's nave was erected by the Frasers of Memsie in 1646. While the belfry dates from 1782, its bell has the inscription Peter Jansen, 1643. Also in the kirkyard are the burials of the great great grandparents of the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. The church was replaced in 1868 by a new construction, designed by William Smith, to the east of its predecessor. There is also a free church, Inverallochy and Rathen East Church, two miles northeast of Rathen. At the end of the 19th century, the main residence was Mormond House (formerly Cortese House), with House of Memsie being used as a farmhouse. Rathen railway station formerly existed as part of the now-defunct Formartine and Buchan Railway.

Cairnbulg Castle is a z-plan castle situated in Cairnbulg, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It was described by W. Douglas Simpson as one of the nine castles of the Knuckle, referring to the rocky headland of north-east Aberdeenshire. It stands by the River Philorth and was originally known as Philorth Castle (or Philorth House). The 17th-century Philorth Castle, an L-plan house consisting of a sizeable crow-stepped block, was demolished after a fire in 1915.

Philorth Halt railway station was a railway station near Philorth House, south of Fraserburgh in Aberdeenshire.

Philorth Bridge Halt railway station, not to be confused with Philorth railway station on the old Formartine and Buchan Railway, was a request stop on the Fraserburgh and St Combs Light Railway, Aberdeenshire. It was opened in 1903 as Philorth Bridge Halt and stood just to the east of Philorth Bridge, the Water of Philorth and the lane to Cairnbulg Castle.

Kirkton Bridge Halt railway station or Kirkton Bridge Platform railway station was a request stop on the Fraserburgh and St Combs Light Railway, Aberdeenshire. It was opened in 1904 as Kirton Bridge Halt, later renamed as Kirkton Bridge Platform, on the links to serve the Fraserburgh golf course users and tourists a year after the line's other stations had opened. The 1948 timetable gives the station name as Kirkton Bridge Halt.

Cairness House, 4.5 miles (7 km) south-east of Fraserburgh in Buchan in the county of Aberdeenshire, is a country house built in the Neoclassical style between 1791 and 1797 to designs by architect James Playfair. It replaced an earlier house of 1781 by Robert Burn, which was in part incorporated into the Playfair scheme. Sir John Soane assisted in the final stages of the construction after Playfair's death in 1794. The park was laid out by Thomas White, a follower of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. The Pevsner Architectural Guide for Aberdeenshire North and Moray states that "Cairness House, by James Playfair 1791-97, is of international importance as the only house in Britain, the design and construction of which reflected and evolved with the rapid advances in French Neoclassicism towards the end of the C18" and that "its survival is the more precious as so many of Playfair's other designs were either not built or have been lost or altered".

Memsie Cairn is an ancient cairn in Memsie, near Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Historic Scotland believe the burial cairn to be from the Bronze Age. It is an ancient historic monument managed by Historic Scotland.

Crimonmogate is an estate near Crimond, Aberdeenshire. The estate formed part of Lonmay parish, dates back to the 14th century, and was included in the lands owned by the powerful Earls of Erroll. The estate was sold by Mary Hay, 14th Countess of Erroll, in the 1730s. Major development commenced when the land was owned by the merchant Patrick Milne in the late 18th and early 19th centuries and the estate is now most famous for Crimonmogate House, designed by the Aberdeen architect Archibald Simpson for Milne. The Greek Revival building is protected as a category A listed building and the grounds are included on the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland. After Milne's death the estate passed to the Bannerman family, who continued to develop the lands and completed the construction of the mansion, also adding a mansard roof later. Simpson was commissioned to design further structures within the estate. Eventually, through marriage in the 20th century, the estate returned to the Errolls. Almost at the turn of that century, in 1996, the estate was purchased by Christopher Monckton, who began restoration work on the mansion. As a publicity stunt, Monckton falsely claimed in 2000 that he was having to offer it for sale to pay prize money after the Eternity puzzle was solved years sooner than anticipated. In 2001 the estate was bought by a former Chanel model and her husband, Viscount Petersham, who continued the renovation work and use the property as a function and wedding facility although bookings for weddings were discontinued at the end of 2016.

House of Memsie (also known as Mesmie House) is a Category A listed country house and estate in Memsie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It dates to around 1760, and it received its historic designation in 1971. It was formerly the home of the Fraser family for over three hundred years. It was sold to Lord Saltoun in the early 19th century. A Captain Dalrymple was another previous owner. Historian Charles McKean describes it as a "smaller and more decorative version of Aberdour House".
