Stark's Knob is a basaltic pillow lava formation near Schuylerville, New York, United States. It formed about 460 to 440 million years ago in relatively shallow sea water. It is often mistakenly referred to as a volcano, probably because early investigators described it as a volcano or volcanic plug.It was here during the Saratoga Campaign of the American Revolution that General John Stark of New Hampshire cut off the retreat of British General John Burgoyne's army, hence its name.

The Shushan Covered Bridge crosses it at one point, and the headquarters of the Orvis Corporation are also located along its course. The Batten Kill valley is home to the Tour of the Battenkill, the largest road cycling race in North America.The Native American name for the river is either Dionoondehowee or Ondawa.

The area's first schools to the late 1700s and by the late 1800s there were 12 different districts within the town. New schools were continually built to accommodate a growing population. Schuylerville High School opened in 1926 at the corner of Spring Street and Broadway. It cost $225,000. General Stark's house was moved from the site to make way for the school. Additions were added in 1938 and 1947.The Schuylerville Central School District was formed in 1946 and the Jr.-Sr. High School was constructed in 1955 followed by an elementary school in 1966. Additions, renovations and upgrades followed.In 1990, a lawsuit arose between the Schuylerville school board and a local Jewish family, over the removal of a painting depicting the crucifixion of Christ from public display in the school auditorium. This lawsuit, which the school lost, was said to have prompted a visit to Schuylerville by a Ku Klux Klan member. At the same time, the Reverend Al Sharpton staged a counter-protest over the presence of the Klan.

Schuylerville () is a village in Saratoga County, New York, United States. The village is located in the northeastern part of the Town of Saratoga, east of Saratoga Springs. The Village of Victory is adjacent to Schuylerville to the southwest and the Hudson River forms the village's eastern border. The population was 1,386 at the 2010 census. The village was incorporated in 1831 and is named after the Schuyler family, a prominent family of Dutch descent in colonial America. Schuylerville was the site of the surrender of the British Army under General John Burgoyne, following the Battles of Saratoga (1777) in the nearby Town of Stillwater. Schuylerville contains several historic buildings, including the General Schuyler House, part of the Saratoga National Historical Park, and Old Saratoga Reformed Church. The schools of the Schuylerville Central School District are located in the village, as are the offices of the Town of Saratoga. The village is served by a public library, Fort Hardy Park, a visitor's center, Schuyler Hose Company volunteer fire department and several churches. Village government consists of a mayor and four trustees. Nearby cultural attractions include the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga Race Course, Saratoga National Historical Park and Glens Falls Civic Center. Skidmore College, SUNY Empire State College and Adirondack Community College are also nearby.

Bullard Block is a historic commercial building located at Schuylerville in Saratoga County, New York. It was built in 1881 and is a rectangular two story brick building on a limestone foundation in the High Victorian Gothic style. It has five storefront bays and originally housed the National Bank of Schuylerville.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Old Saratoga Reformed Church is a historic building at the junction of Burgoyne and Pearl Streets in Schuylerville, Saratoga County, New York. It is part of the Reformed Church in America and was built in 1857 in the Greek Revival style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.The Old Saratoga Reformed Church was organized in 1770, and was used as a hospital during the Revolutionary War.

Schuyler Bridge carries New York State Route 29 (NY 29) across the Hudson River east of U.S. Route 4 and NY 32 from Schuylerville in Saratoga County into Easton in Washington County. It was named for Philip Schuyler, a general in the American Revolution. NY 29 is named the General Philip Schuyler Memorial Highway west of Schuylerville.

DeRidder Homestead is a historic home located at Easton in Washington County, New York. It consists of a two-story, three by two bay, brick main block with a one-story rear wing. The earliest part of the house dates to about 1735. Also on the property is a barn and several outbuildings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Saratoga Battle Monument is a 155-foot (47 m) granite obelisk located in the village of Victory, Saratoga County, New York. The monument commemorates what is called the "Turning Point" of the American Revolution—the surrender of British forces led by General John Burgoyne to the Americans under General Horatio Gates.
