The Wilma H. Schiermeier Olentangy River Wetland Research Park is an experimental wetland complex located adjacent to the campus of The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, United States and is part of the School of Environment and Natural Resources at the university. Begun in 1992, the park has developed into a multitude of different habitats and setups which are used by OSU faculty and students for research. Additionally, the general public is welcome to enjoy independent tours of the area during daylight hours. Guided tours are also available upon request.

Union Cemetery is a historic cemetery on Olentangy River Road near Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Owing to its location near the Ohio State University, it has been the chosen resting place for numerous Buckeye luminaries and Columbus politicians.

The Open Air School is a historic building in the Tuttle Park area of Old North Columbus in Columbus, Ohio. The building was constructed as a school, and today houses local a café, bar, a fitness center, and event space. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019. The former open air school building first housed students at risk of catching tuberculosis. Because of this, the building has large windows, gathering spaces, outdoor areas, and nearby wilderness. It replaced an older open air school building on the site, built in 1913. The 1927 building subsequently held Neil Avenue Elementary, from 1956 to 1975. It then held Columbus City Schools administrative offices, and later sat vacant for years. Around 2019, a $6.1-million renovation plan was announced, for the site to hold a mix of businesses. Proposed tenants included a coffee shop, fitness center, a restaurant, and offices. In 2022, a local brewery opened a restaurant and bar, called Understory, on-site.The 30,586 sq ft (2,841.5 m2) building sits on 1.2 acres (0.49 ha). It was designed by Howard Dwight Smith, architect of the Ohio Stadium, and was built in 1927. Its Italian Renaissance Revival style is constructed of reinforced concrete and has a brick and terra cotta facade.

Olentangy Park was a trolley park, a type of amusement park, in Clintonville, Columbus, Ohio, operating from 1880 to 1937.

The Woody Hayes Athletic Center is an indoor athletics training facility of The Ohio State University. It was dedicated in November 1987 in memory of Woody Hayes, Ohio State's football coach, and renovated in a significant expansion in 2005–2007. The facility contains an indoor field which is 400 feet (120 m) long, 220 feet (67 m) wide and 65 feet (20 m) high and is covered by All-Pro Turf. The field is used by the football, baseball, softball, lacrosse and soccer teams. The $21.5 million 53,000-square-foot (4,900 m2) expansion was financed by fund-raisers outside the athletic department budget. Heery International of Atlanta, Georgia, provided the architectural design, with emphasis on current technological, media, and innovative developments. The WHAC now totals more than 78,000 square feet (7,200 m2) of facilities, offices, and meeting rooms. The facility has a 17,000-square-foot (1,600 m2) weight room with free weights and Nautilus equipment as well as a training room that is available for Ohio State sports teams. Football facilities include coaches' offices with individual position meeting rooms, an auditorium for team meetings, meeting rooms for offense and defense units, and a substantial player lounge. The northern corridor and atrium are adorned with Ohio State Buckeyes football history, including Big Ten and national championship team displays, Heisman Trophies and photos of All-Americans and Academic All-Americans, and is the only part of the facility open to the public.

Loop the Loop was an early looping steel roller coaster which operated at Olentangy Park in Columbus, Ohio during the first decade of the 1900s. It was one of the first looping roller coasters to operate in North America, and it was designed and built by noted inventor Lina Beecher.

The Jack Nicklaus Museum is a museum focused on and honoring championship golfer Jack Nicklaus. It is on the campus of the golfer's alma mater of Ohio State University in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.The museum, opened in 2002, is a 24,000-square-foot (2,200 m2) facility offering a comprehensive view of Nicklaus' life and career in and out of golf as well as exhibits celebrating the history and legends of the game. In 2005, it was transferred by the private Jack Nicklaus Museum Inc. to Ohio State University.It houses three theaters, a golf shop and a number of exhibit galleries.

The North Columbus Commercial Historic District is a historic district in the Old North Columbus neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. The district is centered on High Street, one of the city's two main thoroughfares. The district has 25 buildings, all of which contribute to the district, and built from c. 1880 to 1960. Architectural styles range from Italianate to Tudor Revival and Neoclassical, with some Craftsman elements and one Modernist building.

Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium is a 10,000-capacity stadium located in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The stadium is home of the Ohio State Buckeyes men's and women's lacrosse teams as well as the soccer and track and field teams. The stadium opened for soccer in the fall of 2001. It also hosts the OHSAA boys and girls track and field State Tournament. It is named after former OSU athlete, Jesse Owens. Owens (September 12, 1913 – March 31, 1980) was an American track and field athlete and four-time Olympic gold medalist at the 1936 Games in Berlin, Germany.

Old North Columbus is a neighborhood located just north of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. It was founded in 1847 where, at the time, it was a stand-alone city out of the confines of Columbus until it was incorporated into the City of Columbus in 1871. In its early years the city was a popular stagecoach stop with people traveling from Worthington to Columbus. Today Old North Columbus is popular for its local music and its unique "untouched architecture" which is reminiscent of its old roots.

Bill Davis Stadium is a baseball venue located in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The stadium is home to the Ohio State Buckeyes baseball team of the Big Ten Conference and is named for William C. "Bill" Davis, a businessman and Ohio State alumnus. The stadium has a capacity of 4,450 and had a record attendance of 5,360, versus the Minnesota Golden Gophers baseball team on May 18, 2002. In 2010, the Buckeyes ranked 46th among Division I baseball programs in attendance, averaging 1,235 per home game.The venue hosted the Big Ten Tournament in 1999, 2001, and 2010.In 2011, the playing field was named in honor of former Buckeye and MLB All-Star/World Series Champion Nick Swisher, thus the official name of the Buckeyes' home is "Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium"In 2012, college baseball writer Eric Sorenson ranked the stadium as the most underrated venue in Division I baseball.

The Lane Avenue Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Olentangy River in the American city of Columbus, Ohio. Designed by Jones-Stuckey Ltd., the construction was completed on November 14, 2003, after only sixteen months, five months ahead of schedule. The bridge is 113 meters (371 feet) in length, carrying six 3.5 meters (11 feet) wide lanes for vehicle traffic, as well as two 3.5 meter sidewalks. The cable stayed design was chosen for aesthetic reasons, as well as having a smaller potential for environmental degradation on the river environment. The anchorages for the cables, at 47 tons (104,000 lbs), are noted as being the heaviest single pieces of steel ever to be galvanized. Total price for the project was US$15.6 million with the following funding sources: $5 million from the Ohio Public Works Commission $5 million from the Federal Highway Administration $3.2 million from the Franklin County Engineer's Office $2.4 million from the City of ColumbusPreviously, traffic on Lane Avenue was carried by a 3 lane earth filled arch bridge, which opened in 1919. By 1998, it was determined that the bridge was deteriorating; thus a replacement was needed. Construction on the new bridge started on February 27, 2002, with the old bridge being demolished on November 25 of the same year, after the final home football game at Ohio Stadium, nearby.
