Arrallas (also Argallez, Argalles) was a manorial settlement recorded in the Domesday book, when in 1086 it had seven households and three ploughlands. It is located in the parish of St Enoder in Cornwall, England. Its name derives from the Cornish language words arghans and lys meaning "silver court", with the lys likely denoting a site of royal importance.In the fourth year of the reign of Edward I (c. 1276) a jury in the Hundred of Powdershire held that Robert de Cardinan had held the fee in chief of Henry III, but this was alienated by Isolda de Cardinan and was then now held by a Mauger de St. Albin. When a Guy St Aubyn's widow Alice Sergeaux married Richard de Vere, 11th Earl of Oxford it passed to the earl, before returning to the St Aubyn family. In the fifteenth century becoming vested in the crown it was granted to George Plantagenet, 1st Duke of Clarence c. 1462. In 1492 the manor was granted to John de Vere, 13th Earl of Oxford, who forfeited it and whence it came to the Duke of Gloucester. It later passed to the Vyvyan baronets and Rashleigh family.Arrallas Farm is now part of the 2,215 acre Arrallas Estate acquired by the Duchy of Cornwall in 1952. The 18th century farmhouse is a Grade II listed building, as is a range of associated farm buildings.

Tresillian House is a country house near St Newlyn East, off the A3058 road, Cornwall, England. It was registered as a Grade II listed building on 30 May 1967. It is most associated with the Bennet family historically; John Bennet, Curate of Antony was once owner of the house and in 1837 it was occupied by Richard Gully Bennet, who was a Magistrate of Cumberland. Tresillian means "a place of eels" in Cornish.

East Wheal Rose was a metalliferous mine around three-quarters of a mile (1.2 km) south east of the village of St Newlyn East and is around 4 miles (6.4 km) from Newquay on the north Cornwall coast, United Kingdom. The country rock at the mine was killas and its main produce was lead ore (galena), but as is usual when mining this mineral, commercial quantities of silver and zinc were also found and sold. Lead was found in the area in 1812 and in 1834 the mine was established, by 1846 the mine employed over 1,200 men, women and children.The two main lodes, called Middleton's Lode and East Lode, trended north-south. The ore they contained was in places very soft and loose and the killas was also not a particularly strong rock, necessitating extensive underground timbering, particularly in the shafts. Records show that the mine had more than twenty shafts on the two lodes, and the deepest workings were at 150 fathoms (900 ft).

The settlement consists of a large farmstead and several cottages. Trewinnion was formerly a manor in the ancient parish of St Enoder which was mortgaged in the 1850s by the Mohun family.
