Govindpuri

Kalkaji Assembly constituency is one of the 70 Delhi Legislative Assembly constituencies of the National Capital Territory in northern India.

Govindpuri is a Delhi Metro station in Delhi. It is located between Kalkaji Mandir and Harkesh Nagar Okhla stations on the Violet Line. The station was opened with the first section of the Line on 3 October 2010, in time for the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony on the same day.

Deshbandhu College (Hindi: देशबंधु कॉलेज) is a college established in 1952 and affiliated to University of Delhi. Deshbandhu College was established in 1953 by the Ministry of Rehabilitation, as a memorial to freedom fighter Deshbandhu Gupta.

Harkesh Nagar Okhla is a Delhi Metro station in Delhi. It is located between Govindpuri and Jasola Apollo stations on the Violet Line. The station was opened with the first section of the Line on 3 October 2010 in time for the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony on the same day. It was earlier known as Okhla, and was renamed in December 2014. It serves Harkesh Nagar, Shyam Nagar, Okhla Phase II and IIIT Delhi.

Govind Ballabh Pant Engineering College (also GBPEC or GB Pant DSEU Okhla-1 Campus) is a government engineering college located in Okhla, Delhi, India. It was established in 2007 by the Directorate of Training and Technical Education of the Delhi Government. The college is affiliated to Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU). It is also AICTE approved.The college was affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University till 2020 but Now the college is affiliated to DSEU(from 2021).

Kalkaji Mandir Metro Station is an interchange station of the Delhi Metro between Violet Line and Magenta Line. The interchange is situated in two levels - underground and elevated. There is seamless connection between the two lines, which allows commuters to change lines without requiring to exit from the ticketed area. There is a five minutes walking tunnel between these two lines to interchange. This is located between Nehru Place and Govindpuri stations of the Violet Line, and between Nehru Enclave and Okhla NSIC stations of the Magenta Line. It provides access to tourist sites such as Kalkaji Mandir, Lotus Temple, Prachin Bhairav Mandir and ISKCON Temple which are situated very near to the station. The station was opened with the first section of the Line from Central Secretariat - Sarita Vihar on 3 October 2010, in time for the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony on the same day. The metro station also houses a departmental store. The interchange with Magenta Line was opened on 25 December 2017. Big Bazaar is also available in the basement of this metro station.

Kalkaji Mandir, also known as Kalkaji Temple, is a Hindu mandir or temple, dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Kali. The temple (mandir) is situated in the southern part of New Delhi, in Kalkaji, India, a locality that has derived its name from the temple and is located opposite the Nehru Place business centre and close to the Okhla railway station, Kalkaji Mandir metro station. Hindus believe that the image of the Goddess Kalka here is a self-manifested one.

Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir (Chittaranjan Park Kali Bari) is a temple complex and Bengali community cultural center in Chittaranjan Park in New Delhi, India. Built on a small hill, it started as a Shiv temple in 1973, which still stands within the complex, the larger shrines dedicated to goddess Kali, Shiva, and Radhakrishna were added in 1984. Over the years it has remained an important centre of convergence of local Bengali community during annual Durga Puja festivities.The temple also hosted its first Durga Puja in 1977, a tradition that continues to date.

The Nehru Enclave metro station is located on the Magenta Line of the Delhi Metro. It was opened to public on 29 May 2018.

Chittaranjan Park (also known as C.R. Park) is an affluent and upscale neighborhood in South East Delhi and home to a large Bengali community. It was established on a rocky terrain in the early 1960s under the name EPDP Colony (East Pakistan Displaced Persons Colony) and later renamed after the deshbandhu (patriot) Chittaranjan Das in the 1980s. Nowadays it is considered among the posh localities in South Delhi due to a rise in the market price of its plots. Despite its growing cosmopolitan nature, it remains home to a large Bengali community and is home to Kolkata-style street-food stalls, Bengali cuisine, fish markets, temples, and cultural centers. It hosts many festivities and cultural events. Durga Puja is the most celebrated festival here which boasts magnificent marquee.

Nehru Place is a large commercial center in Delhi, India. Although its importance as a financial center has declined in recent years, Nehru Place is still a prominent commercial area in South Delhi and houses the headquarters of several Indian firms and rivals with other financial centers in the metropolis like Connaught Place, Bhikaji Cama Place and Rajendra Place. It had been listed as a notorious market in 2009 and 2010 by the USTR for selling counterfeit software, media and goods.
