Whitney (formerly East Las Vegas) is an unincorporated town and census-designated place in Clark County, Nevada, United States. The population was 38,585 at the 2010 census.

The Clark County Wetlands Park is the largest park in the Clark County, Nevada park system. The park is on the east side of the Las Vegas valley and runs from the various water treatment plants near the natural beginning of the Las Vegas Wash to where the wash flows under Lake Las Vegas and later into Lake Mead. One purpose of the park is to reduce the environmental impact of the waste water and stormwater runoff leaving the drainage basin area, by building a constructed wetland. This is being accomplished by installing a series of water flow control structures such as dams and weirs and by creating ponds that together slow down the flow of the water, catching silt, and reducing the undercutting of the dirt walls that form the wash. As of June, 2005 nine of these structures were operational. The sides of the wash are being stabilized by installing native plants and large pieces of demolished construction debris. Some of the native plants, especially those in areas of standing water, also help purify the water by removing various pollutants as the slow moving water provides these plants with nourishment. This method of purification is also called natural water polishing. The second purpose of the park is education. The displays within the park show visitors how the wash looked before major settlement occurred in the valley and the impact people have had on the environment. The park has a nature center with displays about the park's plants and animals. There are miles of walking paths.

Sam Boyd Stadium (formerly the Las Vegas Silver Bowl) is a football stadium in the western United States, located in Whitney, Nevada, an unincorporated community in the Las Vegas Valley. It honors Sam Boyd (1910–1993), a major figure in the hotel and casino industry in Las Vegas. The stadium consisted of an uncovered horseshoe-shaped single-decked bowl, with temporary seating occasionally erected in the open north end zone. The artificial turf field had a conventional north–south orientation, at an elevation of 1,600 feet (490 m) above sea level. It was the home field of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Rebels for 49 seasons, from 1971 through 2019; they moved to the new Allegiant Stadium in 2020. The annual Las Vegas Bowl took place at Sam Boyd in December from 1992 through 2019, and also moved to Allegiant. Sam Boyd was also used for high school football championship games and at times regular-season high school games for Bishop Gorman High School. A long time stop on the AMA Supercross Championship beginning in 1990, the final race of the season was located at the stadium every year. From 2010 to 2019, it hosted the USA Sevens leg of the annual World Rugby Sevens Series in the sevens version of rugby union.Several teams called the stadium home over the years, including the Las Vegas Quicksilvers of the North American Soccer League, the Las Vegas Posse of the Canadian Football League, the Las Vegas Outlaws of the original XFL and the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League.

Edward W. Clark Generating Station is a 1,102 megawatt plant owned by Nevada Power on 000 acres (0 ha) located in the Las Vegas Valley town of Whitney, Nevada, USA. The plant consists of 19 units and first went into service in 1954 as Nevada Power’s first gas power plant.

Eastside Cannery Casino and Hotel is a closed locals casino on the Boulder Strip in Sunrise Manor, Nevada, owned and operated by Boyd Gaming. The Eastside Cannery includes a 63,876 sq ft (5,934.3 m2) casino and 307 rooms in a 16-story tower. It was developed by Cannery Casino Resorts at a cost of $250 million. It is a sister property to the original Cannery Casino and Hotel, opened in North Las Vegas in 2003. The Eastside Cannery replaced the Nevada Palace, a small hotel-casino that had occupied a portion of the land since 1979. Construction began on April 30, 2007, and the Eastside Cannery opened on August 28, 2008. It was the first hotel-casino to be built on Boulder Highway since Boulder Station, which opened in 1994. Boyd acquired the Eastside Cannery in 2016, when it purchased Cannery Casino Resorts. The property closed on March 17, 2020, because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Nevada. Due to a lack of customer demand, it remains closed as of 2023.

Santa Fe Valley (also known later as the Santa Fe Galleria Hotel & Casino) is a cancelled hotel-casino that was planned by Santa Fe Gaming for 40 acres (16 ha) of land in Henderson, Nevada, next to the Galleria at Sunset mall. The project was announced in 1994, and construction was expected to begin in July 1996. The start of construction was delayed several times because of poor financial quarters for Santa Fe Gaming and because of the company not yet receiving financing for the project. Site preparation started in July 1998, with an opening date scheduled for December 1999, but construction never began. In 1999, the property was sold to Station Casinos, which sold the land a year later for use as a shopping center.

Galleria at Sunset (informally referred to as Galleria Mall) is an indoor shopping mall at 1300 West Sunset Road in Henderson, Nevada. It is owned by Forest City Enterprises and Queensland Investment Corporation, and managed by Forest City. Plans to build the mall were announced in 1987, but construction did not begin until 1995. It opened on February 28, 1996, and received its first major renovation in 2013, followed by an expansion which added several restaurants. It is Henderson's first and only indoor mall, and one of four indoor malls in the Las Vegas Valley. It is also one of the largest malls in the state, with 1,080,208 square feet (100,354.6 m2). Anchor tenants include Dick's Sporting Goods (formerly Galyan's), Dillard's, JCPenney, Kohl's (formerly Mervyn's), and Macy's (formerly Robinsons-May).

Sam's Town Las Vegas is a hotel and casino located in Sunrise Manor, Nevada on the corner of Flamingo Road and Boulder Highway. It is one of the casinos owned and operated by Boyd Gaming. It features a 25,000-square-foot indoor park, bowling center, movie theater, and one of the largest casino floors in Las Vegas.One of the unique features of the hotel is "Mystic Falls Park", a large glass-roofed atrium with tall live trees, cobblestone paths, and a waterfall in the center where Sunset Stampede Laser Light and Water Show is performed several times a day.It was the host hotel for the Sam's Town 300, a NASCAR race sponsored by Sam's Town. It was also the Las Vegas host hotel for the Silver State Classic Challenge race.

KBET (790 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Winchester, Nevada and broadcasting to the Las Vegas Valley. It is owned and operated by Silver State Broadcasting LLC and is currently silent. Its studios are in the unincorporated Clark County community of Enterprise. KBET broadcasts with 1,000 watts by day, reducing power to 300 watts at night to avoid interfering with other stations on 790 AM. The transmitter is off Telephone Pole Road in Whitney, Nevada. KBET is also heard on FM translator 103.1 MHz K276GX in Las Vegas.KBET recently carried nationally syndicated conservative talk shows most of the day, mainly from Cumulus Media subsidiary Westwood One. They included Chris Plante, Dan Bongino and "Red Eye Radio." In addition, "Armstrong & Getty" from KSTE Sacramento was heard in morning drive time. Alex Jones from the Genesis Communications Network aired early weekday and weekend mornings and Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis was heard in late evenings. Most hours began with Fox News Radio.

Sunset Station is a hotel and locals casino in Henderson, Nevada. It is owned and operated by Station Casinos. It opened on June 10, 1997, as Henderson's first hotel-casino resort. The property features a Spanish/Mediterranean theme. Amenities include a 163,951 sq ft (15,231.5 m2) casino and 448 rooms in a 21-story tower, the city's tallest building. Other features include a movie theater, a 72-lane bowling alley, and various restaurants.

Klondike Sunset Casino is a locals casino located on 2.2 acres (0.89 ha) of land at 444 West Sunset Road, west of Boulder Highway, in Henderson, Nevada.It was initially owned by Tom Yarbrough, who opened it as Tom's Sunset Casino on August 2, 1989. The casino closed in January 1998, due to financial losses and new competition. John Woodrum purchased the casino and reopened it as the Klondike Sunset Casino in October 1999, after a $5 million renovation. The casino was a sister property to Woodrum's Klondike Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip in nearby Paradise, Nevada. After Woodrum's death in 2014, the casino was closed and sold to Carl Giudici, whose plans to renovate and reopen the casino failed to materialize. Bruce Familian and Jon Athey purchased the casino in December 2015, and reopened it on August 3, 2016, after an eight-month renovation.
