The Franklin B. Hough House is a historic house at 7629 Collins Street in Lowville, New York. Built 1860–61, it was the home of the "father of American forestry," Franklin Hough (1822-1885), a medical doctor, scientist, historian who served as the first chief of the United States Division of Forestry, the predecessor of the United States Forest Service. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1963, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1966.

The Bateman Hotel, previously known as Howell Hotel or Kellogg Hotel, located in Lowville, New York, is now a conglomerate of condos. At one time, it was a hotel with a kitchen, a dining room, and a saloon. The hotel is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Lowville is a town in Lewis County, New York, United States. The population was 4,888 at the 2020 census, down from 4,982 in 2010. The town is near the center of the county and is southeast of the city of Watertown. The town of Lowville contains a village also named Lowville, which is the county seat. The town is named after Nicholas Low, an early landowner. Low was of Dutch descent, and had emigrated with his wife and three small children from a rural village outside Amsterdam in 1778. Despite popular folk etymology, the name Lowville has nothing to do with its low elevation or the lowing cattle of the many nearby dairy farms.

The Lowville Masonic Temple is a historic Colonial Revival building located in Lowville, New York. The building was constructed in 1928 as a meeting hall for the local Masonic lodge. In 2002 it was sold to the Lewis County Historical Society, and was used as a local history museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 19, 2012.

Lowville Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located at Lowville in Lewis County, New York. It consists of rectangular, stone, gable roofed main block erected in 1831 and an attached gable roofed wing added in 1906. The front facade features a pavilion with triangular pediment surmounted by a staged wood bell tower that contains the "town clock." It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Lewis County Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument is a historic American Civil War monument located at Lowville in Lewis County, New York. It was built in 1883 by Monumental Bronze Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and is constructed of sand-cast zinc. It is 20 feet high and 78 inches square and consists of five parts: a three stepped base, a plinth, a tapered column, a capital, and on the top a soldier. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Stoddard–O'Connor House is a historic home located at Lowville in Lewis County, New York. It was built in 1898, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, asymmetrical frame dwelling with Queen Anne and Colonial Revival style design elements. It features a half-height entry porch and projecting stacked bay. Also on the property is a contributing carriage house (c. 1900). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The village is in the Black River Valley, between the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains and the Tug Hill Plateau, in an area often referred to as the North Country. It is located in the center of Lewis County, in the southeastern part of the similarly named town of Lowville. Lowville is the county seat of Lewis County. Lewis County Fairgrounds is a historic fairground and national historic district located at Lowville in Lewis County, New York. The district includes one contributing building and five contributing structures all constructed about 1876. They are the Grandstand, half-mile Race track, Antiques Building, Taffy Stand, Information Booth, and the balldiamond bleacher stands. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Martinsburg is a town in Lewis County, New York, United States. The population was 1,433 at the 2010 census. The town is named after its founding father, General Walter Martin. Martinsburg is in the west-central part of the county, south of Lowville, the county seat.

Gen. Walter Martin House is a historic home located at Martinsburg in Lewis County, New York. It was built in 1805 and consists of the original two story, hip roofed, stone Federal main block with Greek Revival wings added about 1835. The front features a projecting center pavilion surmounted by a triangular pediment. It was the home of General Walter Martin (1766–1834), founder and namesake of the town of Martinsburg. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
