Tipps End is an English hamlet on the B1100 road between Welney and Christchurch, Cambridgeshire. It is also sometimes referred to as "Tips End". It is on the border of the Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) to the east of March, Cambridgeshire.

Three Holes is a hamlet near Upwell in Norfolk, England. Located on the border of Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, the two sides of the river are in separate counties.

Marmont Priory (also Welles or Mirmaud) was a priory for Gilbertine Canons in Cambridgeshire, England. It was established by landowner Ralph de Hauvill (keeper of two of the King's Falcons) as a small priory or chantry of three canons who prayed for the souls of de Hauvill and his wife, Maud. Fifteen years earlier, Maud had a vision of Gilbert of Sempringham ascending to Heaven on the day of his death.The endowment to create the priory was authorised by King John in May 1204 on the proviso that the canons would pray daily for the soul of his mother, Eleanor of Aquitaine, who had died in April of that year. Never a wealthy priory, it held lands in Upwell and Walsoken and used St Peter's, Upwell as its church. By its dissolution in 1538 it was a cell of Watton Priory. Formerly in the Isle of Ely, owing to a change of the county border, the site of Marmont on the old course of the River Nene near Upwell is now in Norfolk. The site is occupied by an 18th-century farmhouse, Priory Farm. Skeletal remains have been found at the site.

Welney is a village and civil parish in the Fens of England, and the county of Norfolk. The village is about 10 miles (16 km) south-west of the town of Downham Market, 20 miles (30 km) south of the town of King's Lynn and 45 miles (70 km) west of the city of Norwich. The county boundary with Cambridgeshire is adjacent, with the city of Cambridge 25 miles (40 km) to the south.Welney is immediately to the west of the Old Bedford River, River Delph and New Bedford River, which are all parallel channels and are here crossed by the A1101 road. Welney is on the Ouse Washes, an area of wildlife conservation. WWT Welney, near the village, is a nature reserve in the care of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. Nearby, there are also the RSPB Ouse Washes, a reserve managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. The parish covers an area of 8 square miles (20 km2) and had a population of 528 in 217 households at the 2001 census; the population increased to 542 at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk.

Upwell is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. Upwell village is on the A1101 road, as is Outwell, its conjoined village at the north. The nearest towns are Wisbech to the north-west and Downham Market to the east. The parish covers an area of 27.65 km2 (10.68 sq mi) and had a population of 2,456 in 1,033 households at the 2001 census, increasing to 2,750 at the 2011 Census. And most recently, In the 2021 census the town population has nearly doubled to 4,734.

Manea railway station is on the Ely–Peterborough line in the east of England and serves the village of Manea, Cambridgeshire. It is 80 miles 18 chains (129.1 km) measured from London Liverpool Street (via Clapton and Ely), and is situated between Ely and March stations.

Upwell railway station was a station in Upwell, Norfolk on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway. It was opened in 1883 to carry passengers and agricultural wares to Wisbech where they would go to market, or be shipped off to other towns or cities. Competition with motor buses led to the station's closure to passenger services in 1928, along with the rest of the line. The line featured in BBC tv film by reporter Fyfe Robertson in 1964. Goods services continued until 1966, carrying produce from the surrounding farms; these are now carried by road. Following closure the line to Wisbech was taken up. The village signs in Upwell still bear a picture of a tram recognising the heritage of the settlement. It was during several visits that the Reverend .W. Awdry, author of the Railway Series, was inspired to come up with the character of Toby the Tram Engine modelled on the trams that worked the line. The site of the former station has recently been converted into a car park for the health centre (doctors' surgery) in Upwell. Reverend W. Awdry used to live in the old vicarage in Emneth, from the window in his attic he could see the trams acting. This led to him inventing the characters Toby the Tram Engine and later on Mavis in Thomas the Tank Engine.

Stonea railway station is a former railway station serving the small village of Stonea, Cambridgeshire. Although the station closed in 1966, the line is still in use.

Outwell Village railway station was a station in Outwell, Norfolk on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway. It opened in 1884 and closed to passengers in 1928. Goods services ran on a while longer, before finishing in 1966. The line provided inspiration for Toby the Tram Engine.

Manea is a village and civil parish in the District of Fenland, Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire, England. The population (including Welches Dam) of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 2,088.Landmarks are Manea railway station and RSPB Welches Dam nature reserve on the Ouse Washes.The village's brass band, the Manea Silver Band, was formed in 1882; it meets at Manea Royal British Legion. Manea men's football team compete in local leagues and cup competitions.

Dunhams Wood is a privately owned broadleaved woodland that is occasionally open to the public. The area was planted over a period of 6 years starting in 1985. It is located approximately 2 miles (3 km) outside March, Cambridgeshire in Fenland. The area was initially owned by Margaret and Arthur Dunham, who opened the woodlands to the public during the summer. Treasure hunts and other games took place within the wood. A major feature of the wood is the Dunhams Wood Railway. There is a miniature railroad at 7.25-inch (184 mm) gauge with approximately 800 yards (730 m) of track that snakes through the woodland. The woodland has also been used as a venue for various events including wildlife viewing, photography and archery. Margaret and Arthur Dunham were interviewed for the BBC Radio 4 programme Breakfast with a Farmer in 1992. Following the death of Arthur Dunham on 13 January 2013, the woodland was closed to the public and offered for sale. It was sold in August 2014. Although the railway remains in the wood,

Outwell Basin railway station was a stop on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway in Outwell, Norfolk. It opened in 1883 carrying passenger and goods traffic from nearby farms. It was closed to passengers in 1928, with goods services continuing on the line until 1966. The line it once stood on is now a grassy track.
