Emerton is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Emerton is located 46 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Blacktown and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region. Emerton is primarily a residential suburb with very limited commercial activity centered on the Emerton Leisure Centre. It is quite close to the suburbs of Mount Druitt, New South Wales and St Marys. The suburb's boundary is formed to the south and east by Popondetta Road continuing north around the extent of Popondetta Park. To the west, the boundary runs along Halmahera Creek until the creek meets Luxford Road and follows the road south to the intersection with Popondetta Road.

Dharruk () is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located 46 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Blacktown and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region. Dharruk is chiefly a residential suburb with almost no industry or commercial activity. The only other significant activity in the suburb is education, with the Mount Druitt campus of Chifley College and Dawson Public School occupying much of the suburb. The boundaries of Dharruk are defined by Carlisle Avenue to the east, Popondetta Road to the west, Jersey Road to the north and Woodstock Avenue to the south.

The Manse is a heritage-listed former residence and now community museum at 23 The Avenue, Mount Druitt, City of Blacktown, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was probably built by local notable, John Harris. It is also known as Methodist Manse. The property is owned by Blacktown City Council. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Mount Druitt Aerodrome was a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) landing ground during World War II at Mount Druitt, New South Wales, Australia. Land was commandeered in March 1942, for the construction of an aerodrome, two aircraft hangars and workshops on the site. The aerodrome was utilised for a period of time, after World War II, as a storage facility (bomb dump) for United States Army Air Forces and 10,000 500lb general purpose aerial bombs were placed upon the landing strip. The runway ran down the center of the current Whalan Reserve in a roughly north–south (NNW-SSE) direction. After the war the fledgling Australian Racing Drivers Club ran races there (1951–53) at the Mt Druitt race track which incorporated part of the runway and taxi ways. The land was not handed back to its owner until January 1951. Only a part of the land was handed back to the owner which is why the racing ended in 1956 when the club was preparing to bid for the fledgling F1 championship race to be held in Australia. Argument over land ownership and the right to hold the F1 race meeting ended when the owner of part of the track dug huge tranches in the track, 2 metres deep, this ended the life of this race track.

Mount Druitt railway station is located on the Main Western line, serving the Sydney suburb of Mount Druitt. It is served by Sydney Trains T1 Western line services.
