The suburb's boundary is formed to the south and east by Popondetta Road continuing north around the extent of Popondetta Park. To the west, the boundary runs along Halmahera Creek until the creek meets Luxford Road and follows the road south to the intersection with Popondetta Road.

Richard Johnson Anglican School is a dual-campus independent Anglican co-educational early learning, primary and secondary day school, located in western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1997, the school provides a religious and general education to approximately 950 students from early learning, through Kindergarten to Year 12 at campuses located in Oakhurst and Marsden Park. Oversight of the school is administered by the Sydney Anglican Schools Corporation and the school is affiliated with the Diocese of Sydney. The school is named after Richard Johnson, the first clergyman in Australia.In 2016, the school opened its Marsden Park campus that is planned to be of equivalent size or larger than the Oakhurst campus. In 2020, founding Principal Paul Cockrem retired. He was succeeded by Deputy Principal Alan Dawson.

It was probably built by local notable, John Harris. It is also known as Methodist Manse. The property is owned by Blacktown City Council. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Mount Druitt Aerodrome was a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) landing ground during World War II at Mount Druitt, New South Wales, Australia. Land was commandeered in March 1942, for the construction of an aerodrome, two aircraft hangars and workshops on the site. The aerodrome was utilised for a period of time, after World War II, as a storage facility (bomb dump) for United States Army Air Forces and 10,000 500lb general purpose aerial bombs were placed upon the landing strip. The runway ran down the center of the current Whalan Reserve in a roughly north–south (NNW-SSE) direction. After the war the fledgling Australian Racing Drivers Club ran races there (1951–53) at the Mt Druitt race track which incorporated part of the runway and taxi ways. The land was not handed back to its owner until January 1951. Only a part of the land was handed back to the owner which is why the racing ended in 1956 when the club was preparing to bid for the fledgling F1 championship race to be held in Australia. Argument over land ownership and the right to hold the F1 race meeting ended when the owner of part of the track dug huge tranches in the track, 2 metres deep, this ended the life of this race track.

Mount Druitt Hospital is a district general hospital in Sydney suburb of Mount Druitt, New South Wales, Australia. It was opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 11 October 1982, and was designed by Lawrence Nield in 1980. In 2015/2016, the average available bed number was 161. The hospital had 32,437 attendances in 2015/2016.
