Sir P.T. Sarvajanik College of Science is a science graduation college in Surat, Gujarat, India. The college is affiliated to Veer Narmad south Gujrat University. The college offers under-graduate courses in chemistry, maths, physics, botany and zoology. It also provides post-graduate courses in chemistry, physics and botany and Phd Courses in chemistry, physics and zoology. In order to provide students with a quality academic environment, the college has developed all the necessary infrastructural facilities. Cable Bridge, Surat or Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Tapti River that connects the Athwa and Adajan areas of Surat, Gujarat, India. The bridge is named after Indian politician and thinker Deendayal Upadhyaya. A connected 3-way interchange flyover bridge was constructed on the Athwalines side to facilitate easy flow of the traffic.

The Sardar Patel Museum is in Surat, Gujarat, India, and was established in 1891 (1891). At the time of establishment, the museum was well known as the Winchester Museum. The museum was named Sardar Patel Museum after independence. The museum is also known as Sardar Sangrahalaya.The museum consists of a planetarium, ancient relics, paintings, science gallery, amphitheater, art gallery, auditorium and restaurant. The audio in the auditorium will be in three languages-Hindi, Gujarati and English. The museum has more than eight thousand relics and antiques.It was organized in 1890.

J.J. Training College was formerly an English school established in 1827 from the donation by Seth Sorabji Jamshedji Jijibhai. Later this school was known as "Sorabji Jamshedji Jijibhai High School". In 1939 the high school was closed by the government to begin a college for training primary school teachers.The collage is located in front of Surat Castle, in Surat in the western Indian state of Gujarat.

Gopi Talav or Gopi Lake is a lake in the Gopipura locality in the city of Surat in Gujarat state of India. It was built in circa 1510 CE by Malik Gopi, who was an affluent merchant and governor of Surat during the Gujarat Sultanate. In 2012, the lake was renovated by Surat Municipal Corporation and the area surrounding it was redeveloped as a recreational facility.

Saraswati Mandir, also known as Sarika Sadan or Narmad House, is a writer's house museum in Surat, Gujarat, India. It was built by Gujarati poet Narmad in 1866. In 2015, the house was renovated and converted into museum and memorial house dedicated to Narmad.

In April 1837, a fire broke out in the Indian city of Surat, then under British East India Company rule. It resulted in more than 500 deaths and the destruction of 9,737 houses in a 93⁄4 mile radius. It was the most destructive fire in the history of the city.
