Tudor Court, Penley

Penley (Welsh: Llannerch Banna) is a village in the County Borough of Wrexham, in Wales close to the border with Shropshire, England, and had a population of 606 as of the 2011 census.The village was, until 1974, in an exclave of the ancient county of Flintshire known as Maelor Saesneg. (English: "English Maelor"), sometimes called "Flintshire Detached", which was administered from Overton-on-Dee. Between 1974 and 1996, Penley was in the short-lived county of Clwyd. Penley lies on the path of the long-distance walk, the Maelor Way.

Penley Community Hospital (Welsh: Ysbyty Cymuned Llannerch Banna) is a former community hospital dedicated to Polish ex-servicemen in Penley, Wales. It was managed by North East Wales NHS Trust and closed in 2002.

The Maelor School, Penley (Welsh: Ysgol Maelor) is a mixed comprehensive school situated in the village of Penley, Wrexham County Borough, in north-east Wales. As of February 2008, the school had a total of 794 pupils aged 11–18 of whom 138 students are in the sixth form.

Cloy Halt railway station was a station to the east of Overton-on-Dee, Wrexham, Wales. The station was opened on 30 June 1932 and closed on 10 September 1962.

Halghton (Welsh: Halchdyn) is a dispersed settlement and former civil parish in the east of Wrexham County Borough, Wales. It is part of the community of Hanmer.

Overton-on-Dee railway station was a station to the southeast of Overton-on-Dee, Wrexham, Wales at Lightwood Green. The station was opened on 2 November 1895 and closed on 10 September 1962.The station had a goods yard and adjacent livestock market. On the west side a creamery was built around 1919 operated by the Co-Operative Wholesale Society (CWS), and in 1928 with the adoption of milk tank wagons in place of milk churns a siding was extended to the creamery. The creamery closed just before WW2. Also adjacent to the station goods yard was the Overton Brick and Tile Works which closed around WW2 or shortly afterwards.

Trench Halt railway station was a station to the northwest of Dudleston Heath, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1914 and closed in 1962.

Cloy Brook Pastures is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in the preserved county of Clwyd, north Wales. It is an area of wet pasture managed by grazing, with a variety of plants such as dyer’s greenweed, pepper saxifrage and spiny restharrow.

St Mary's Church stands on a hill in the town of Ellesmere, Shropshire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Ellesmere, the archdeaconry of Salop, and the diocese of Lichfield. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building.

Ellesmere Castle was in the town of Ellesmere, Shropshire. (grid reference SJ403347).This was a motte and bailey castle which was probably founded by Roger de Montgomerie, 1st Earl of Shrewsbury on a prominent hill to the east of the town, overlooking the Mere, soon after the Norman conquest. It was given to the Peverel family by Henry I but taken back by Henry II who granted it to Dafydd ab Owain Gwynedd, Prince of Gwynedd, in about 1177. It alternated between the English and Welsh crowns until the 1240s when it passed to the le Strange family whose origins were in Knockin, Shropshire. The castle was destroyed in the English civil war.Today the sides of the motte are clad with trees and its summit is occupied by a bowling green. The nearest major city is Wrexham, located 17.1 km north of Ellesmere Castle. The surrounding area of Ellesmere Castle is predominantly rural. The climate is coastal. The average temperature is 7 °C. The warmest month is July, with an average temperature of 14 °C, while the coldest month is December, with an average temperature of -2 °C.

The Old Town Hall is a municipal building in the High Street in Ellesmere, Shropshire, England. The structure, which was the meeting place of Ellesmere Urban District Council, is a Grade II listed building.
