Merivälja

Viimsi (German: Wiems) is a small borough (Estonian: alevik) in Harju County, northern Estonia. It's located about 9 km (6 mi) northeast of the centre of Tallinn, just north of Tallinn's subdistrict Merivälja. Viimsi is the administrative centre of Viimsi Parish. As of 2011 Census, the settlement's population was 2,341. Viimsi Manor, which was established by St. Brigitta Nunnery (located in Pirita), was first mentioned in 1471 as Wiems. After the Great Northern War the manor had multiple owners, among those the Stenbock, Buxhoeveden, Maydell and Schottländer families. After the dispossession in 1919 the manor was given to the Commander-in-chief of the Estonian Army General Johan Laidoner who owned it until 1940. During World War II it was used by the Red Army. Since 2001 the building houses the National War Museum of Estonia (also the Museum of General Laidoner).

The Estonian War Museum (full name Estonian War Museum – General Laidoner Museum; Estonian: Eesti Sõjamuuseum – kindral Laidoneri muuseum) is a war museum in Viimsi, Estonia. The museum is dedicated to military history of Estonia. The museum is named after Estonian general Johan Laidoner.The museum was established in 1919 as Museum of the Estonian War of Independence. At the time of establishing, the Estonian War of Independence was not over (ended in 1920).1921–1940, the leader of the museum was Taavet Poska. At this time, the museum was located in Tallinn Old Town at Vene Street 5. In 1940, the museum was closed.The museum was re-established in 2001.Due to the limited space around the Viimsi Manor house, the potential new location for the museum may be in Patarei Sea Fortress in Tallinn.

Viimsi Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Haabneeme, Viimsi Parish, Estonia. Opened in 2015, it is the home ground of Viimsi JK. The stadium has a capacity of 800.

Viimsi staadion was a football and rugby stadium in Haabneeme, Viimsi Parish, Estonia, just outside the capital Tallinn with the capacity of 2,000. The stadium was formerly used by a now-defunct Lantana Tallinn football club. The pitch size was 105 by 70 metres. As of 2007 the stadium was home to the Tallinn Rugby Football Club and the temporary home of the Estonian National Rugby Union team via cooperation between the Estonian Rugby Union and Nord West Kinnisvara OÜ. The team is governed by the Estonian Rugby Union, which oversees all rugby union in Estonia. The address of the Stadium was Sõpruse 7, 74001 Viimsi Parish.

Haabneeme is a small borough (Estonian: alevik) in Viimsi Parish, Harju County, in northern Estonia alongside Viimsi. It's located about 9 km (6 mi) northeast of the centre of Tallinn, on the eastern coast of Tallinn Bay. With a population of 5,634 (2011 Census), Haabneeme is the largest settlement in the municipality. Haabneeme was first mentioned in 1271 as Apones. During the Middle Ages Haabneeme was settled by Coastal Swedes. In the 1960s, Haabneeme garden city developed on both sides of the Rohuneeme road in the north. The central settlement was built from the 1960s to 1980s as the centre of the Kirov Fishing Kolkhoz (named after Sergey Kirov). In 1973 a new administrative building was opened. The shopping centre was built in 1976, hospital-polyclinic in 1979. As an addition to apartment buildings, a pension was opened in 1974, stadium in 1978, kindergarten in 1983 and a high school in 1981–1985.Recently, many new buildings such as a spa hotel, a new schoolhouse (2006), a kindergarten and a supermarket have been raised. Haabneeme is connected to the centre of Tallinn by Tallinn Bus Company's route nr. 1A (Viru keskus – Viimsi haigla), average traveling time is about 25 minutes. A new two storey shopping centre with Selver hypermarket is planned to be opened in Haabneeme in 2015.

Mähe is a subdistrict (Estonian: asum) in the district of Pirita, Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It has a population of 5,957 (As of 1 January 2014).

Lubja is a village in Viimsi Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia.

Pirita Convent (Estonian: Pirita klooster) was a monastery for both monks and nuns dedicated to St. Brigitta, located in the district of Pirita in Tallinn, Estonia. It functioned from 1407 to 1575. It was the largest convent in Livonia, and one of the largest in Northern Europe.

Pirita is one of the eight administrative districts (Estonian: linnaosa) of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Pirita occupies a relatively big area, but compared to other districts of Tallinn its population of 17,592 (as of 1 November 2014) is relatively small. It mostly consists of private houses, instead of the large blocks of flats typical of some other districts of Tallinn, such as Lasnamäe and Mustamäe. Pirita beach is the largest in Tallinn, and in the summer can attract up to 30,000 visitors a day.

Miiduranna is a village in Viimsi Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia. It's located about 8 km (5 mi) northeast of the centre of Tallinn, situated just northwest of Tallinn's subdistrict Merivälja, west of the settlement Viimsi and south of Haabneeme, on the eastern coast of Tallinn Bay. As of 2011 Census, the settlement's population was 358. It is one of the wealthiest regions in Estonia.Half of the village's area is occupied by the Miiduranna Harbour, which is connected to Maardu via railroad. Miiduranna was first mentioned in 1588 as Mitorannes.Miiduranna is connected to the centre of Tallinn by Tallinn Bus Company's route nr. 1A (Viru keskus – Viimsi Keskus), average traveling time is about 25 minutes.

Pirita is a subdistrict (Estonian: asum) in the district of Pirita, Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It is located around the estuary of the Pirita River to the Tallinn Bay. The subdistrict has a population of 960 (As of 1 January 2014). Pirita was selected as the venue of the sailing events for the 1980 summer Olympics. During the preparations for the Olympics, sports buildings were built in Tallinn including the Pirita Yachting Centre and the Hotel Olümpia. The Pirita (Estonian: Pirita jõgi) is a 105 km (65 mi) long river in northern Estonia that drains into Tallinn Bay (part of the Gulf of Finland) in Pirita, Tallinn. The basin area of the Pirita is 799 km2.For the 1980 Summer Olympics held in Moscow, the estuary to the Gulf of Finland at Tallinn Bay hosted the sailing events.As part of the Tallinn water supply system, the Pirita is impounded into the Paunküla and Vaskjala Reservoirs. The reservoir in Vaskjala is connected over a canal to the Lake Ülemiste in Tallinn, where the Ülemiste Water Treatment Plant is situated. Additional water is directed to Pirita from the Jägala, Soodla and Pärnu rivers through a canal network that joins Pirita in Veskitaguse.
