The Diocese of Pueblo (Latin: Dioecesis Pueblensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Catholic Church in southern Colorado. The diocese was created on November 15, 1941. It encompasses the southern half of Colorado, from the state's borders with Utah to the west, to Kansas in the east. The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Pueblo is the seat of the diocese. The Diocese of Pueblo is a suffragan diocese part of the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Denver. In 2009, the diocese had nearly 100,000 registered Catholics, about 16% of the population.

Pueblo () is a home rule municipality that is the county seat and the most populous municipality of Pueblo County, Colorado, United States. The city population was 111,876 at the 2020 United States Census, making Pueblo the ninth most populous city in Colorado. Pueblo is the principal city of the Pueblo, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area and a major city of the Front Range Urban Corridor. Pueblo is situated at the confluence of the Arkansas River and Fountain Creek, 112 miles (180 km) south of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver. The area is considered semi-arid desert land, with approximately 12 inches (304.80 mm) of precipitation annually. With its location in the "Banana Belt", Pueblo tends to get less snow than the other major cities in Colorado. Pueblo is one of the largest steel-producing cities in the United States, for which reason Pueblo is referred to as the "Steel City". The Historic Arkansas River Project (HARP) is a riverwalk in the Union Avenue Historic Commercial District, and shows the history of the devastating Pueblo Flood of 1921. Pueblo has the least expensive residential real estate of all major cities in Colorado. The median home price for homes on the market in Pueblo is $192,500 as of April 2018. It is the sixth most affordable place to live in the United States as measured by the 2014 Cost of Living Index. Costs of housing, goods and services, utilities, transportation, groceries and health care are lower than the national average. Pueblo was listed by AARP in 2013 as one of the best affordable places to live.

The Martin Walter House, also known as Walter's Mansion, at 300 W. Abriendo Ave. in Pueblo, Colorado, was built c. 1906–08. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Pueblo Union Depot is the historic railroad station in Pueblo, Colorado. It was built in the Richardsonian Romanesque style in 1889–1890 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. It is located within the Union Avenue Historic Commercial District.

The Pueblo City-County Library District is a public library system serving Pueblo County, Colorado. The main branch, the Robert Hoag Rawlings Public Library, is located in the Mesa Junction neighborhood of the City of Pueblo, Colorado. Aside from physical books the library system also provides E-book downloads, Audiobook's, DVD collections, music, streaming movies and free wireless internet connectivity.The main branch also hosts the InfoZone News Museum which features vintage equipment from The Pueblo Chieftain, a history of newspapers, art exhibits and films.

The Union Avenue Historic Commercial District is a century-old business district in Pueblo, Colorado, United States. The district comprises sixty-nine contributing properties in a total area of 27 acres (11 ha) including the Union Depot, Vail Hotel and Quaker Flour Mill. In 1983, the district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The historic district was originally located within South Pueblo and Central Pueblo, two small cities until incorporated into Pueblo, Colorado which combined South Pueblo, Central Pueblo, Pueblo and Bessemer into one municipality. While still South Pueblo, Bat Masterson, best known for his association with Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday was brought in as sheriff to protect a railroad that was being built.

The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk is a riverwalk in the US city of Pueblo, Colorado, along the Arkansas River. The riverwalk was constructed as part of an effort to attract tourists and trade to the city. Its construction was inspired by the San Antonio Riverwalk in the city of San Antonio, Texas.Pueblo was founded near the confluence of Fountain Creek and the Arkansas River. After a flood in 1921, the river was diverted to Pueblo Reservoir. The original riverbed was excavated as part of an urban renewal project, and the river was again rerouted. The project continues to be improved and expanded.

El Pueblo, also called Fort Pueblo, was a trading post and fort near the present-day city of Pueblo in Pueblo County, Colorado. It operated from 1842 until 1854, selling goods, livestock, and produce. It was attacked in 1854, killing up to 19 men and capturing three people. A recreation of the fort is located at the El Pueblo History Museum at the site of the original fort.

The old First Methodist Episcopal Church, also known as First Methodist Episcopal Church, South, is a historic redbrick Southern Methodist church building located at 400 Broadway in Pueblo, Colorado. Designed by George W. Roe in the Romanesque Revival style of architecture, it was built in 1902. In 1939 it became the Trinity Methodist Church. Bought by the George F McCarthy Funeral Home in 1954, it is now the George McCarthy Historic Chapel and is used for funeral services. On November 14, 1979, it was added to the National Register of Historic PlacesIt is a one-and-a-half-story stretcher bond brick building. The church was organized in 1871 and had its first building, the Corona Chapel, built in 1877 at what is now 217 Midway.

The Rood Candy Company Building is a historic manufacturing plant of the Rood Candy Company in Pueblo, Colorado, United States. It was built in 1909 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.The company was founded by Aaron Rood, who was born in Windham County, Connecticut in 1845. He served in Company B, Ninety-Second Illinois Infantry, during the American Civil War. He moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1872 and to Pueblo in 1895. He helped build the Pueblo Cracker and Confectionery Company which was sold to the American Biscuit Company in 1891. He founded the Colorado Confectionery Company in the early 1900s which became the Rood Candy Company around 1910. It was one of the leading candy manufacturers in the state, operating up to the late 1930s.There is the main building and also a second contributing building, which is a gable-roofed stable.

The Galligan House, at 501 Colorado Ave. in Pueblo, Colorado, is a Queen Anne-style house which was built in 1891 for a prominent Pueblo lawyer. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It was built for Judge Mathew J. Galligan and his wife Minnie J. Bailey Galligan by Miles McGrath. McGrath was the architect, contractor and building supervisor. Galligan (1855-1930), was born in Washington County, Wisconsin, worked for Union Pacific in Nebraska and Iowa, and studied law, and practiced briefly in Denver, and moved to Pueblo in 1883.The house was deemed "significant architecturally as an intact example of a well designed and beautifully finished upper-class dwelling of its era" and "significant historically for its connection with the well respected and civic minded lawyer, Mathew J. Galligan. Members of the Galligan family lived in the home for eighty-six years."Another source calls the house "a fine example of the Queen Anne style with its wrap around porch and circular tower."

El Pueblo History Museum is a local history museum in Pueblo, Colorado, United States. The museum presents the history of Pueblo, together with the cultural and ethnic groups of the region. The historical site includes an 1840s-style adobe trading post and plaza and the archaeological excavation site of the original 1842 El Pueblo trading post which was listed on the US National Register of Historic Places in 1996. The facility is administered by History Colorado. The museum is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, and is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM).
