United Waste Manufacturing Company Building, also known as the Hudson River Terminal Warehouse Company and "The Fortress", is a historic warehouse building located at Troy, Rensselaer County, New York. It was built about 1902, and is a six-story, load bearing masonry building in the Romanesque Revival style. It features castellated detailing, three blind arcades, crenellated corner towers, and a prominent main tower that resembles castle keep.: 3–4 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Searle, Gardner and Company Cuff and Collar Factory, also known as the Marshall Ray Building, is a historic textile factory located at Troy, Rensselaer County, New York. It was built about 1898–1899, and consists of a five-story, 18 bay wide, rectangular, main block with an attached two-story block. It features segmental arched windows and Romanesque Revival style design elements. The building housed a collar and cuff, and later shirt, manufacturing plant into the mid-1900s.: 3–4 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

J. C. Osgood Firehouse, now known as Engine Company 6, is a historic fire station located at the corner of 3rd Street and Canal Ave in the city of Troy in Rensselaer County, New York. It was built in 1889 and is an inverted "L" shaped, brick building in the Queen Anne style. It was originally the home of Pumper 3 and Hook and Ladder 2. The main section is 2+1⁄2 stories, dropping to 2 stories in the midsection, with a 1+1⁄2-story wing at the rear. It features an irregular roofline topped with finials, distinctive patterns of decorative detailing, contrasting materials and forms, and medieval-type chimneys.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

Public School No. 10 is a historic school building located at Troy in Rensselaer County, New York. It was built in 1898 and is an "H" shaped, three story, hard glazed orange brick building on an elevated basement in the Georgian Revival style. It has limestone and terra cotta trim. The entrance features a projecting terra cotta portico on a raised brick and limestone base. It was converted to multi-family housing in 1992.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Troy Gas Light Company was a gas lighting company in Troy, New York, United States. The Troy Gasholder Building is one of only ten or so remaining examples of a type of building that was common in Northeastern urban areas during the 19th century. It was designed by Frederick A. Sabbaton, a prominent gas engineer in New York State. Originally sheltering a telescoping iron storage tank for coal gas, the brick gasholder house is an imposing structure from a significant period in the history of Troy. For twenty-seven years the company held a monopoly on the manufacture of illuminating gas in the city.

The synagogue is the oldest continuously used synagogue in the state of New York, the second oldest house of worship in the state outside of the city of New York, and one of the oldest synagogue buildings in the United States.

Watervliet ( waw-tər-VLEET or waw-tər-və-LEET) is a city in Albany County, in the U.S. state of New York. The population was 10,375 as of the 2020 census. Russell Sage College (often Russell Sage or RSC) is a co-educational college with two campuses located in Albany and Troy, New York, approximately 150 miles (240 km) north of New York City in the Capital District. Pumpkin House, also known as Hart Tenant House, is a historic home in Troy, Rensselaer County, New York. It was built in about 1820 and is a two-story, three-bay Federal period frame residence with a high pitched gable roof parallel to the street. It has a large, two-story rear wing built in two stages, in about 1830 and about 1870. It was restored in the 1990s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Rensselaer County Historical Society (RCHS) is a non-profit, historical society and museum, to promote the study of the history of the Rensselaer County, NY. RCHS was founded in 1927, and originally operated out of a single room in the Troy Public Library, collecting manuscripts and published materials related to the county's history. It is located in the Central Troy Historic District, in Troy, NY. The Rensselaer County Historical Society operates a museum, and offers public programs from its location at 57 Second Street, Troy, NY.
