Minquadale, Delaware

Lobdell Estate, Minquadale Home, also known as the Minquadale Home for Aged Men, was a historic home and retirement home located at Minquadale near Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1864, and was a two and a half-story, five bays wide, stuccoed, and gable-roofed dwelling in the Italianate style. It featured large decorative brackets and a large cupola atop the roof. It was originally built by George Lobdell, a manufacturer of car wheels, as a summer home. In 1891, his vacation house was made over into a retirement home for Lobdell's employees of both sexes.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. It was demolished between 1984 and 2002.

Dunleith is a suburb of Wilmington, in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. It was built in the early 1950s, and was the first housing development marketed for African-Americans in Delaware. In 1990, the population was 2,600.

Swanwyck is a historic home located near New Castle in New Castle County, Delaware. It was built between 1813 and 1819, and is a two-story, three bay, stuccoed brick dwelling reflective of the Regency period. The house has been modified by later additions and is now surrounded by 20th century residential development, unlike its original farmland setting. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Farnhurst is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. The site of two historic hospitals (one now gone) and a number of cemeteries, the community once had a post office, school, and rail station.

Holloway Terrace is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Holloway Terrace is located on the outskirts of the city of Wilmington along Delaware Route 9 and Interstate 295, southwest of the Port of Wilmington.

The Delaware Military Academy (DMA) is a publicly-funded charter high school in unincorporated New Castle County, Delaware and has a Wilmington postal address. The Academy was founded in 2003 by Charles Baldwin, a retired Master Chief Petty Officer from the United States Navy, and Jack Wintermantel, a retired Colonel from the United States Army. All students are required to participate in the Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps, or NJROTC; DMA is the first successful all-JROTC military charter school in the US. DMA offers grades nine through twelve and has been designated a Blue Ribbon School.

The Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) is a bi-state government agency of the U.S. states of New Jersey and Delaware established by an interstate compact in 1962. The authority operates the Delaware Memorial twin suspension bridges, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry between Cape May, New Jersey, and Lewes, Delaware, the Forts Ferry Crossing, and the Salem County Business Center. The authority operates several aviation facilities in both New Jersey and Delaware, including Wilmington Airport (ILG), Cape May Airport, Millville Airport, Delaware Airpark and the Civil Air Terminal at Dover AFB. The Wilmington Airport (ILG) is the largest air facility operated by the DRBA and is an FAA back-up facility to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).

The Chase Fieldhouse is a 2,500-seat multi-purpose arena and sports complex in Wilmington, Delaware, United States. The arena, home to the NBA G League team the Delaware Blue Coats who are the affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, hosted its first game on January 23, 2019. Construction on the remainder of the complex was completed in April 2019.

Chase Center on the Riverfront is a 92,000 square foot convention center in Wilmington, Delaware. It hosts various local concerts, conventions, and banquets for the Wilmington area.

State of Pennsylvania was a steamboat that was built in Wilmington, Delaware in 1923, along with her identical sister ship State of Delaware. The steamboat operated on the Delaware River between her homeport of Wilmington and the cities of Chester and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, as well as Riverview Park in Pennsville, New Jersey. Regular service on these routes was stopped in 1960. The boat foundered near her dock on the Christina River in 1970. In 1979, she was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1988, the upper decks were destroyed by a deliberately set fire, and in 2005 the hull was removed and scrapped as a hazard to navigation, all without the ship being raised.

The Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame was founded in 1976. Al Cartwright, who helped found it, was its first president and was inducted to its hall of fame in 1980. The Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame is a member of the International Sports Heritage Association. The Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame contains the Izzy Katzman Sports Library, named after a 1993 inductee.

Daniel S. Frawley Stadium is a stadium in Wilmington, Delaware. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Wilmington Blue Rocks minor league baseball team. The park was originally known as Legends Stadium when it was built in 1993. It was renamed in 1994 for Wilmington mayor Daniel S. Frawley, who had pushed for a return of the Blue Rocks. The field is named separately for Judy Johnson, a local Negro league baseball star.
