Rotterdam Business School (RBS; distinct from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University) was founded in Rotterdam, the Netherlands in 1990 as the International School of Economics Rotterdam, which developed study programmes in English. Rotterdam Business School is part of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and offers three types of study programmes: Bachelor, Master, and Special.

The Stadion Woudestein (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌstaːdijɔɱ ˈʋʌudəstɛin]; known as the Van Donge & De Roo Stadion for sponsorship reasons), is a multi-use stadium in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is currently used mainly for football matches and is the home stadium of Excelsior, as well as for the women's team Excelsior Barendrecht. The stadium is able to hold 4,500 people and was built in 1902. It remains one of the smallest stadiums in the Netherlands, tenanted by a professional club. The stadium has a stand named after Robin van Persie, who played was part of the Excelsior youth academy between 1997 and 1999.

Arboretum Trompenburg is a botanical garden in Rotterdam, Netherlands, which hosts a large collection of woody as well as herbaceous plants. It occupies an area of 7 ha and is situated 4 m below sea level, so a system of canals is used to drain the land. The history of the garden dates back to the 19th century. Since 1958 it has been open to the public daily for a small fee. Arboretum Trompenburg holds national plant collections of conifers, Quercus, Fagus, Rhododendron, Ligustrum, Rodgersia and Hosta.

Kralingen-Crooswijk (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈkraː.ˌlɪ.ŋə(n) ˈkroːs.ʋɛi̯k]) is a township of the city of Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is located at the immediate east of the city's centre. As of 2005 it has about 52,379 inhabitants and has a territory of about 1,286 ha. It consists of the two boroughs Kralingen and Crooswijk, the former being a village itself until it was incorporated in the city of Rotterdam in the late 19th century. Kralingen-Crooswijk is home to the football club Excelsior Rotterdam and the economics and social studies faculties of the Erasmus University are located within its borders. It is linked to the city centre by the Caland Metroline, as well as several Rotterdam tram and bus lines. On the northern side of the municipality is located Het Kralingse Bos, a large park surrounding an artificial lake. Many inhabitants of the city use this park for relaxation and sport. On the eastern side the ultra modern company complex Brainpark can be found. Originally Crooswijk and Kralingen were two different districts. Crooswijk being in the north/centre of Rotterdam and Kralingen being more on the east side.

The Van Brienenoord Bridge (Dutch: Van Brienenoordbrug) is a large twin tied-arch motorway bridge in the Netherlands. Located at the east side of Rotterdam, it crosses the New Meuse (Nieuwe Maas), a major distributary of the river Rhine. The bridge actually consists of two separate, parallel, and (visually) almost identical arch-bridges, as well as a set of three parallel bascule bridges on the north end. The bridge carries 12 lanes of traffic of the A16 motorway, the busiest highway in the Netherlands. Additionally, on the outside of the east arch, a two-way segregated cycling bridge has been mounted. Including lead-up ramps, the Van Brienenoord Bridge is 1320 metres long and vessels with up to 24 metres air draft can pass under the closed bridge. With a span of 300 m, the west arch is the longest span road bridge in the Netherlands. Traffic exceeds 235,000 vehicles crossing the bridge daily, using four 3-lane carriageways, in an express versus local / distributor arrangement.

Prinsenland is a neighborhood of Rotterdam, Netherlands. It consists of many different types of housing (flats, apartments, row-houses) surrounding the large and green Prinsenpark. In the Prinsenpark there is a cemetery, skate park, and a lake, which contains the monument to the lowest point in the Netherlands, the Vierkant Eiland (Square Island). Unfortunately the lowest point in the Netherlands is not actually here, but a few kilometres away in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel.
