Langelsheim is a town in the district of Goslar in Lower Saxony, Germany.

Wolfshagen im Harz (or Wolfshagen) is a subdivision of the town of Langelsheim in the district of Goslar in Lower Saxony, Germany.

The Grane Dam (German: Granetalsperre) is a dam above the village of Astfeld/Herzog-Juliushütte in the borough of Langelsheim in the Lower Saxon part of the Harz mountains.

The 435 m high Königsberg is a hill in the Harz mountains in central Germany, southwest of Goslar between the Grane Reservoir and the Steinberg. On its summit are the ruins of an old tuberculosis convalescent home, later a children's home, the Königsberg Sanatorium.

The Innerste Dam (German: Innerstetalsperre) is a dam on the Innerste river, which lies near Langelsheim and Wolfshagen in the Harz mountains. It was built between 1963 and 1966 and belongs to the Harzwasserwerke. Its purposes are the supply of drinking water, flood protection, water flow regulation and hydroelectric power generation. The average annual discharge through the Innerste Dam is 60 million m³.

Hahnenklee is a borough of the city of Goslar, in the German state of the Lower Saxony. It is located within the Harz mountain range between Goslar and Osterode. The population is about 1200 inhabitants.

The Gose is a small river in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Abzucht. The river is 7.1 kilometres (4.4 mi) long with a drainage basin of 10 km2 (3.9 sq mi). Its source lies north of Auerhahn in the Harz Mountains, on the eastern slopes of Bocksberg. The river runs towards the northeast through a steep and narrow valley and meets the Abzucht on the western edge of Goslar, which is named after the river. Its water was once used in the brewing of the traditional Gose beer.

Goslar (German pronunciation: [ˈɡɔslaʁ]) is a district in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is bounded by (from the south and clockwise) the districts of Göttingen, Northeim, Hildesheim and Wolfenbüttel, the city of Salzgitter, and by the states of Saxony-Anhalt (district of Harz) and Thuringia (Nordhausen).

The Lutheran Gustav Adolf Stave Church (German: Gustav-Adolf-Stabkirche) is a stave church situated in Hahnenklee, a borough of Goslar in the Harz mountains, Germany. Construction of the church began in 1907 and it was consecrated on 28 June 1908. The church is a copy of the medieval Borgund Stave Church in Norway. It was erected during the sudden rise in Hahnenklee's popularity as a spa town and major tourist destination, with adaptions to fulfil its role as a parish church. The plans were designed by Karl Mohrmann (1857–1927), architect of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Hanover, a representative of the historicist Hanover school of architecture. He had visited Borgund and held the view that stave churches once were common in the medieval Saxon areas too. The church was built from spruce trunks harvested at the nearby Bocksberg mountain. The interior comprises numerous carvings of archaic symbols as well as Viking ship design features. The building soon became a frequently visited landmark and a popular wedding church.

The Bocksberg is the local mountain for the village of Hahnenklee in the borough of Goslar in the German state of Lower Saxony. It lies southeast of this spa village in the Harz mountains and is 726 m above sea level (NN). It was from here that a 1,350 m (4,429 ft) long bobsleigh and racing toboggan run was laid in 1928, which had to be closed for technical and financial reasons in 1970. Although this mountain lay in the British Zone after the Second World War, the US Army operated a relay station here for their radio traffic between Frankfurt and Berlin. Its red and white transmission mast is used today for mobile telephone communications. It projects above the surrounding trees and is visible from a long way off. On the summit of the Bocksberg there is a restaurant and a wooden observation tower that was built in 1976.

The formerly free mining town (Bergstadt) of Lautenthal in Germany is a state-recognised, climatic spa with around 1,570 inhabitants and has been part of the borough of Langelsheim since 1972.

The Rammelsberg is a mountain, 635 metres (2,083 ft) high, on the northern edge of the Harz range, south of the historic town of Goslar in the North German state of Lower Saxony. The mountain is the location of an important silver, copper, and lead mine. When it closed in 1988, it had been the only mine still working continuously for over 1,000 years. Because of its long history of mining and testimony to the advancement and exchange of technology over many centuries, the visitor mine of Rammelsberg was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
