Buckfield is a town in Oxford County, Maine, United States. Buckfield is included in the Lewiston-Auburn, Maine metropolitan New England City and Town Area. It is a member of Regional School Unit 10 along with nearby Hartford and Sumner. The town had a population of 1,983 as of the 2020 census.

The Zadoc Long Free Library is the public library of Buckfield, Maine, United States. It is located at 5 Turner Street in a small wood-frame building designed by John Calvin Stevens and built in 1901. It was a gift to the town from Buckfield native John Davis Long in honor of his father Zadoc, and was the town's first library. The library was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The West Branch Nezinscot River is an 18.7-mile-long (30.1 km) river in Maine. It flows from Shagg Pond in Woodstock (44°25′12″N 70°31′48″W) to its confluence with the East Branch in Buckfield. The resulting river, the Nezinscot, flows east to the Androscoggin River, which in turn flows southeast to the Kennebec River near its mouth at the Atlantic Ocean.

The East Branch Nezinscot River is a 19.4-mile-long (31.2 km) river in Maine. It flows from its source (44°26′22″N 70°27′16″W) on Black Mountain in Peru to its confluence with the West Branch in Buckfield. The resulting river, the Nezinscot, continues east to the Androscoggin River, which flows to the Kennebec River near its mouth at the Atlantic Ocean.

The Enoch Hall House is a historic house on Bean Road in Buckfield, Maine. Probably built in the 1790s, this house is notable as the home of one of Buckfield's early settlers, Enoch Hall, a politically active man who helped draft the Maine State Constitution in 1819. The house is also notable for the murals drawn on the walls of the second floor hallway and bedrooms probably around 1830; the artist is unknown. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The Churchill Bridge is a historic bridge carrying Mountain Road over Bicknell Brook, in a rural corner of Buckfield, Maine. It is one of three documented stone lintel bridges in the state. It is a dry laid rubble stone structure which carries the road over the stream at a height of about 14 feet (4.3 m). The total length of the bridge is about 20 feet (6.1 m), and the clear span over the brook is 5 feet (1.5 m). The span is formed by five massive ledge stones laid on rubble abutments about 7 feet (2.1 m) above the stream. Additional rubble is laid above to form the bed of the gravel roadway. The bridge crosses the stream at a slight angle, so its abutments are extended with wingwalls to the northwest and southeast.The bridge is believed to have been built around 1797 by William Churchill, whose homestead was located nearby. He apparently built the bridge in exchange for a tax abatement from the town. The town owns the bridge and is responsible for its maintenance. The bridge is a rare survivor; a 1924 survey identified 20 stone bridges in Buckfield alone.The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. At the time of its listing, it had last received substantive maintenance in 1938. Two other stone lintel bridges are listed on the National Register in Maine, which date to the late 18th or early 19th century; they are the Grist Mill Bridge in Lebanon and Thompson's Bridge in Industry.

Sturtevant Hall is a historic academic building on the campus of Hebron Academy in Hebron, Maine. Built in 1891, this Romanesque and Colonial Revival brick building is an elegant design of Maine architect, John Calvin Stevens. It is one of the main focal points of the school's modern campus, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Hebron is a town in Oxford County, Maine, United States. Hebron is included in the Lewiston-Auburn, Maine metropolitan New England city and town area. The town's history has always been interconnected with Hebron Academy, a co-ed college preparatory boarding school which is located in the town's heart. The population was 1,223 at the 2020 census. There is an elementary school, Hebron Station School, located on Station Road.

Turner is a census-designated place (CDP) and the primary village in the town of Turner, Androscoggin County, Maine, United States. It is in the center of the town, situated on the Nezinscot River, a northeast-flowing tributary of the Androscoggin River. Maine State Routes 4 and 117 cross just west of the center of the village. Route 4 (Auburn Road) leads north 17 miles (27 km) to Livermore Falls and south 11 miles (18 km) to Auburn, while Route 117 leads northwest 6 miles (10 km) to Buckfield and northeast 6 miles to Howes Corner in the northern part of the town of Turner. Turner was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.
