Pittston Congregational Church

Pittston is a town in Kennebec County, Maine, United States. The population was 2,875 at the 2020 census. The town was named after the family of John Pitt, who were early settlers. Pittston is included in the Augusta, Maine micropolitan New England City and Town Area. The historic Major Reuben Colburn House and Pittston Congregational Church are located in Pittston.

Oaklands, also known locally as Oaklands Castle, is a historic house on Oaklands Farm in southern Gardiner, Maine. The main house of this farm property is a stone Gothic Revival work from the early career of the noted 19th-century architect Richard Upjohn. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

The Gardiner Public Library is the public library of Gardiner, Maine, and the surrounding communities of Farmingdale, Litchfield, Pittston, Randolph, and West Gardiner. The present library was built in 1881 and designed by architect Henry Richards. In 1930 the R.P. Hazzard wing was added to become the Children's Room, but was later converted to a Reading Room. In 1960 the J. Walter Robinson Reference Wing was added, and in 1977 the Burress Moore, III Children's Room was created using the second floor of the library, which had originally been designed as a public hall known as Library Hall. The Children's Room renovations were finished in 2008. The Community Archives Room was established in 1985 in the basement level of the library. It was renovated in 2016 and serves as the community's local history and genealogy center.

The Edwin Arlington Robinson House is an historic house at 67 Lincoln Avenue in Gardiner, Maine. A two-story wood-frame house, it was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1971 for its association with Edwin Arlington Robinson (1869–1935) one the United States' leading poets of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Major Reuben Colburn House is a historic house museum and state historic site on Arnold Road in Pittston, Maine. Built in 1765, it was the home of Reuben Colburn, a patriot and shipbuilder, from 1765 to 1818. The house, one of the first to be built in the area, is most notable as one of the staging area's for Benedict Arnold's 1775 Quebec expedition. It is operated by the state as the Colburn House State Historic Site, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The Gardiner Historic District encompasses the historic 19th-century commercial heart of the city of Gardiner, Maine. Once a leading port and industrial center on the Kennebec River, Gardiner's Water Street downtown area retains the feel of its late 19th-century commercial success. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Laura E. Richards House was a historic house located in Gardiner, Maine. Built c.1810, it was a fine local example of Federal period architecture. It was primarily known as the home of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Laura E. Richards during the majority of her writing career. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.The house was damaged and demolished as a result of a fire in December 2022.

The Colburn School is a historic schoolhouse on Arnold Road in Pittston, Maine. With an estimated construction date of 1815, this brick schoolhouse is the best-preserved of the town's 19th-century district schools, and served for a time as the town hall. Now a local historical society museum, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The Gardiner Railroad Station is a historic former railroad station at 51 Maine Street in Gardiner, Maine. It was built in 1911 by the Maine Central Railroad, and was in use as a station until the 1950s. It has since seen a variety of adaptive commercial uses. A distinctive example of Romanesque architecture, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 29, 1982.

The Pearl Harbor Remembrance Bridge (formerly the Gardiner-Randolph Bridge), is a steel girder and concrete bridge that crosses the Kennebec River between Gardiner and Randolph, Maine. It carries Maine State Routes 9, 126, and 27. It was built in 1980 to replace an older truss bridge several hundred yards downstream. The bridge was given its current name in 2001 to honor the 60th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
