First Free Will Baptist Church (Ossipee, New Hampshire)

The Early Settlers Meeting House is a historic church building at the junction of Granite and Foggs Ridge roads at Leighton Corners in the town of Ossipee, New Hampshire, United States. Built in the 1810s for a Free Will Baptist congregation and remodeled in 1856, it is a well-preserved example of a vernacular mid-19th century church. Now owned by the Ossipee Historical Society, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Province Lake is a 968-acre (392 ha) water body located on the border between New Hampshire and Maine in the United States. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including smallmouth and largemouth bass, chain pickerel, and horned pout. Loons, great blue heron, occasional mergansers and bald eagles are seen at the lake.

Pine River Pond is a 570-acre (2.3 km2) lake located in Carroll County in eastern New Hampshire, United States, in the town of Wakefield. Its outlet is the Pine River, which flows northwest to Ossipee Lake. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including smallmouth and largemouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, and black crappie.

East Wakefield is an unincorporated community in the town of Wakefield in Carroll County, New Hampshire. It is located in the eastern part of Wakefield along New Hampshire Route 153, 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Wakefield village and directly south of Pine River Pond. Balch Pond and Ivanhoe Pond are also nearby. The area is a popular summer home location. East Wakefield has a different ZIP code (03830) from the rest of the town of Wakefield.

The New England Masonic Charitable Institute is a historic building on Town House Road in Effingham, New Hampshire. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019, and the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in 2002.It was founded by the Charter Oak Lodge No. 58 of Free and Accepted Masons. Although some Masonic buildings in other states provided space for schools on their first floors, this is the only school in the United States known to have been run by the Masons.It is a two-and-a-half story building, built in Italianate style. The Lodge's temple space within the building have trompe-l'œil murals painted by Boston painter Philip A. Butler. The murals depict classic sculptures, architectural details and Masonic symbols, including the All-Seeing Eye. The murals were water-damaged in the late 1980s but have since been restored.The building now houses the public library for the town of Effingham.

Balch Pond is a 577-acre (2.34 km2) water body located on the New Hampshire-Maine border, in the towns of Wakefield, New Hampshire, and Acton and Newfield, Maine. A northwest portion of the lake in New Hampshire is known as Stump Pond. Water flows from the eastern end of Balch Pond into the Little Ossipee River, a tributary of the Saco River. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including largemouth bass, chain pickerel, brown bullhead, black crappie, yellow perch, and sunfish.

Lake Ivanhoe (also known as Round Pond) is located in Carroll County, New Hampshire, in the United States. The lake has no traditional inlets or outlets. Historically, a small stream drained Lake Ivanhoe to Great East Lake, but construction filled in that stream many years ago and now drainage flows via groundwater to Great East Lake. Lake Ivanhoe is classified as "Potentially Impaired" according to the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services water quality parameters. Lake Ivanhoe receives this designation due to its in-lake phosphorus concentration which exceeds the water quality standards for oligotrophic lakes. The Lake Ivanhoe watershed is 455 acres (184 ha) and is 64% forested. The watershed is currently 17%, developed with 59% of the watershed being buildable area. The Lake Ivanhoe shoreline is primarily composed of low density residential houses and camps (66%). The majority of these structures (88%) are within 50 feet of the water's edge. Lake Ivanhoe water quality monitoring has been collected since 1981. During this period, 16 years of secchi disk transparency data, 17 years of total phosphorus (TP) data, 16 years of chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) data, and 14 years of dissolved oxygen (DO) data have been collected. From this data, the median TP concentration is 8.0 parts per billion (ppb) and the mean transparency is 4.7 metres (15 ft).

The Cotton Mountain Community Church, also known as the Wolfeborough, Brookfield and Wakefield Meetinghouse, is a historic church on Stoneham Road in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, near the town line with Brookfield. Built about 1852, it is a well-preserved example of a rural New England meeting house with vernacular Greek Revival style. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Since 1957, when it stopped being used for services, it has been cared for by a local nonprofit group.

Effingham is a town in Carroll County, New Hampshire, United States. At the 2020 census, the town population was 1,691, up from 1,465 at the 2010 census. Effingham includes the villages of Effingham Falls, Effingham (Lord's Hill), Center Effingham (Drake's Corner), and South Effingham. Pine River State Forest is in the south.

The Lord's Hill Historic District encompasses a historic village center in Effingham, New Hampshire. Located along New Hampshire Route 153 on a hill in northern Effingham, it is a well-preserved late 18th and early 19th-century rural village. It is named for Isaac Lord, a leading figure in its development in the early 19th century. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Ossipee is a town in Carroll County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 4,372 at the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Carroll County. Ossipee, which includes several villages, is a resort area and home to part of Pine River State Forest.

The Carroll County Court House is a historic former courthouse at 20 Courthouse Square in Ossipee, New Hampshire. Built in 1916, it is the county's oldest surviving courthouse, and a prominent local example of Colonial Revival architecture. It housed county offices until the 1970s, was a courthouse until 2004, and now houses the Ossipee Historical Society. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007, and the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in 2003.
