Albion railway station is located on the Sunbury line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the western Melbourne suburb of Albion, and it opened on 5 January 1860 as Albion and Darlington. It closed on 1 January 1861, and reopened on 24 March 1891 as Albion.The Melbourne – Sydney standard gauge line passes to the east of the station and, along with the Albion – Jacana freight line, branches off north of the station.

Marian College is an independent Roman Catholic secondary day school for girls, located in the outer Melbourne suburb of Sunshine West, Victoria, Australia. The school was established in 1957 by the Brigidine Sisters and since 2014 now works under the governance of the Kildare Ministries. Marian College is one of seven Kildare Ministries secondary schools in Victoria and South Australia and continues to hold the Brigidine Tradition as a valuable and significant part of its heritage. Marian College seeks to provide young women with the opportunity to be educated within a school environment that allows and encourages each person to develop fully as an individual, and as a community member. The H.V. McKay Memorial Gardens, originally the Sunshine Gardens, are a public space located in the Melbourne suburb of Sunshine, Victoria, Australia. Established in 1909, the Gardens are Australia's oldest remaining industrial garden and one of only two remaining in Australia, the heritage-listed gardens on Anderson Road were established by H.V. McKay as Sunshine Gardens later taken over by Brimbank City Council and renamed the H.V. McKay Memorial Gardens. The development of the gardens was not only an expression of H.V. McKay's own social philosophy but also represented a changing attitude to Urban Planning that is known as the "Garden Suburb" movement. A Friends Group was established in 2007 to rescue the Gardens from serious decline and in April 2012, local residents were campaigning to preserve the original state of the public space.

Sunshine West is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 13 km (8.1 mi) west of Melbourne's central business district, located within the City of Brimbank local government area. Sunshine West recorded a population of 18,552 at the 2021 census.Sunshine West is a residential and industrial area. It is bounded by Forrest Street in the north, Kororoit Creek in the east, Boundary Road in the south and the Western Ring Road in the west. Settlement of the area dates from the 1920s when the Sunshine Heights Estate was developed. Sunshine West Post Office opened on 1 July 1939 and closed in 1981. Significant development did not occur until the post-war years, with rapid growth from the 1970s through to the 1980s. The population declined slightly from the early 1990s, a result of some new dwellings being added to the area, but a decline in the average number of persons living in each dwelling. Sunshine West presently features a significant ethnically diverse population, being home to many refugees and immigrant families that have settled from Europe, Asia and the Pacific, especially from Malta, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia, Croatia, Vietnam, China and the Philippines. Major features of the area include the Sunshine Wisdom Lodge – Freemasons Victoria, Saint Leopold Mandić Croatian Catholic Church and Centre, West Sunshine Community Centre, Ainsworth Reserve, Buckingham Reserve, Norm Talintyre Reserve, the Australia Post Parcel Facility, the nearby Ardeer railway station and numerous schools. The suburb hosts the Sunshine Heights Football Club in the Western Regional Football League.

Chaplin Reserve was an Australian football (soccer) stadium in Sunshine, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. It was the home of Sunshine George Cross from 1980 to 2017, buying the facility from the State Government in 1997. The stadium had a capacity of 5,000. Chaplin Reserve was also home to the Sunshine George Cross Bocci Club. The state government sold the land to the soccer club on the condition that it was only used for the purpose of a private sports ground.Despite the reserve being sold to George Cross on the condition that it was only used for the purpose of a private sports ground, George Cross sold the reserve to developers in 2016, who intend to build 150 townhouses on the site, despite angry objections by Sunshine residents. The soccer club will move to a new council facility in Taylors Hill, Victoria, worth $13m.
