Hardwick, Cherwell

Hardwick with Tusmore is a civil parish in Oxfordshire, England. It was formed in 1932 by merger of the parishes of Hardwick (grid reference SP5729) and Tusmore (grid reference SP5630).

Tusmore is a settlement about 5+1⁄2 miles (9 km) north of Bicester in Oxfordshire. It is the location of the Tusmore country house and estate.

Juniper Hill is a hamlet in the civil parish of Cottisford in Oxfordshire, England, 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Brackley in neighbouring Northamptonshire. Juniper Hill was named after the common juniper, Juniperus communis, which originally grew in the area. In 1754, there were only two cottages in the area, but on the 1841 census there are 16 households in the village, and by 1901 25. The local inn, established about 1860, was the Fox.Flora Thompson was born in Juniper Hill in 1876. She fictionalised the hamlet as Lark Rise in her Lark Rise to Candleford trilogy.

Cottisford is a village and civil parish in Oxfordshire, about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) south of Brackley in neighbouring Northamptonshire. The parish's northern and northwestern boundaries form part of the boundary between the two counties. The parish includes the hamlet of Juniper Hill about 1 mile (1.6 km) northwest of Cottisford. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 216.The village stands beside Crowell Brook, which is a stream that passes the villages of Hethe, Fringford and Godington before entering Buckinghamshire where it becomes part of Padbury Brook, a tributary of the Great Ouse. Cottisford's toponym refers to a former ford across Crowell Brook. In the 13th century the village was called Wolfheysford or Urlfesford.

It is southeast of the village of Croughton. The station is home to the 422nd Air Base Group and operates one of Europe's largest military switchboards and processes approximately a third of all U.S. military communications in Europe.

Fringford village is in the north of the parish, surrounded on two sides by a bend in the tributary of the Great Ouse. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 602.
