D' La Santa is a Mexican restaurant on Seattle's Capitol Hill, in the U.S. state of Washington. Angelica Villasenor opened the steakhouse in 2017. In addition to steak, D' La Santa serves chile en nogada, cochinita pibil, guacamole, and other regional dishes. The restaurant has garnered a positive reception.

Adelphia College was a Swedish-American college in Seattle, Washington, run by the Swedish Baptist Church. The institution opened in 1905, but went bankrupt in 1918 or 1919. In 1919, the main building and campus were sold to the Jesuit Seattle College (the later Seattle University); the campus has since 1930 been used by a related Jesuit institution, the Seattle Preparatory School. The remaining archives of the college are kept in the Swenson Center at Augustana College (Illinois). Adelphia Bible College In 2011 the school reopened at Lake Retreat Camp and Conference Center in Ravensdale Washington as Adelphia Bible College (also known as Adelphia Bible School). Lake Retreat Camp is part of Converge Northwest Swedish Baptist Church. The Bible school provides intentional, focused time exploring a student's strengths, identifying gifts and abilities, developing vital life skills, and equipping for faith and mission. Adelphia graduates may pursue further education at a university, some will enter the workforce, and many will devote their time in volunteer or vocational ministry.

Washington's 43rd legislative district is one of forty-nine districts in Washington state for representation in the state legislature. It covers parts of Seattle, specifically Downtown Seattle, First Hill, Capitol Hill, South Lake Union, Washington Park, Madison Park, Eastlake, Montlake, Portage Bay, Wallingford, Fremont, the University District (including the UW campus), Green Lake and parts of Phinney Ridge and Ravenna. The district's legislators are state senator Jamie Pedersen and state representatives Nicole Macri (position 1) and Frank Chopp (position 2), all Democrats. The House of Representatives position 1 seat has the distinction of being held by an openly gay person longer than any other seat in the world, starting with Cal Anderson's appointment in 1987 and continuing through with Ed Murray, Jamie Pedersen, Brady Piñero Walkinshaw, and currently Nicole Macri.

Eastlake is a neighborhood in Seattle, Washington, so named because of its location on the eastern shore of Lake Union. Its main thoroughfare is Eastlake Avenue E., which runs from Howell Street at the northeast corner of Downtown north over the University Bridge to the University District, where it connects to Roosevelt Way N.E. and 11th Avenue N.E. A second thoroughfare is Boylston Avenue E.; as an arterial, it parallels Interstate 5 for the four blocks between E. Newton Street to the south and E. Roanoke Street to the north, acting as an extension of Capitol Hill's Lakeview Boulevard E.

The Howe Street Stairs (also known as the East Howe Steps, Howe Stairs, Howe Street Staircase, and the Howe Staircase) are a public, outdoor staircase that straddles Seattle's Capitol Hill and Eastlake neighborhoods. They were constructed in 1911.

Portage Bay is a body of water, often thought of as the eastern arm of Lake Union, that forms a part of the Lake Washington Ship Canal in Seattle, Washington. To the east, Portage Bay is connected with Union Bay—a part of Lake Washington—by the Montlake Cut, over which spans the Montlake Bridge carrying State Route 513. To the north is the campus of the University of Washington. To the west, Portage Bay is spanned by the University Bridge, which carries Eastlake Avenue between Eastlake and the University District. Its westernmost limit can be said to be the Ship Canal Bridge, which carries Interstate 5 over the water; past this bridge, the body of water is deemed to be Lake Union. In the southern portion, Portage Bay is spanned by the Portage Bay Viaduct, which carries State Route 520 from the Eastlake/Capitol Hill district to Montlake. Portage Bay was named in 1913 because of the portage across the Montlake Isthmus that used to be necessary to move logs from Union Bay to Lake Union before the construction of the Ship Canal. The bay is home to two yacht clubs, the Seattle and the Queen City, and many houseboats, as well as the Northwest Fisheries Science Center of the National Marine Fisheries Service and the University of Washington's College of Ocean and Fishery Science.
