The Center for BrainHealth, part of The University of Texas at Dallas' school of Behavioral and Brain Sciences, is a research institute focused exclusively on brain health that combines brain research with clinical interventions. Founded by Dr. Sandra Bond Chapman in 1999, the Center for BrainHealth houses 125 researchers, postdoctoral research fellows, doctoral students, master's students, and research clinicians who work on 60 privately and federally funded research projects. The Center provides academic training and houses specialists in, among many others, Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injury (TBI), healthy brain aging, multiple sclerosis, autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), stroke, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). To help raise awareness of and funding for research underway at the Center for BrainHealth, a number of proponent groups have formed. These include the Think Ahead Group (TAG) of young professionals and Friends of BrainHealth.

Inwood/Love Field station is a DART Light Rail station in Dallas, Texas. It is located in the Oak Lawn neighborhood and serves the Green Line and Orange Line. The station opened as part of the Green Line's expansion in December 2010 and served as a stop on bus route 39 with service to Dallas Love Field. On December 3, 2012; route 39 was split at this station with the northern portion renumbered as 524, which was named "Love Link" as of December 2014. During construction, the station was planned to be named Inwood station. As of the DART bus network redesign effective January 24, 2022, the new route for the Love Link is 55.

With approximately 18,800 employees, more than 2,900 full-time faculty, and nearly 4 million outpatient visits per year, UT Southwestern is the largest medical school in the University of Texas System and state of Texas.UT Southwestern's William P. Clements Jr University Hospital is nationally ranked in nine specialties by U.S. News & World Report and ranked the best hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth/North Texas region. Forbes ranked UT Southwestern Medical Center as the top health care employer in the state of Texas and the top health care employer to new graduates in the United States.UT Southwestern's operating budget in 2021 was more than $4.1 billion, and is the largest medical institution in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex (and therefore North Texas region), annually training about 3,800 medical, graduate, and health professions students, residents, and postdoctoral fellows. Ongoing support from outside sources provides approximately $554.4 million per year for more than 5,700 research projects. In 2017, the school had the largest federal expenditure funding of all UT System medical institutions at $204.5 million.UT Southwestern's three-part mission is to: educate leaders in patient care, biomedical science, and disease prevention; conduct research; and deliver patient care. It incorporates three major degree-granting institutions – UT Southwestern Medical School, UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and UT Southwestern School of Health Professions. Through the four major hospitals affiliated with UT Southwestern, the medical center also has a large presence in Plano and Frisco, prominent suburbs in the Dallas area. Furthermore, in 2016, UT Southwestern began providing additional care through Southwestern Health Resources, a network combining the systems of Texas Health Resources and UT Southwestern. The network comprises 31 hospitals, 300 clinics, and more than 3,000 physicians and caregivers, serving a 16-county area with more than 6 million residents.

William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital is a hospital in the Southwestern Medical District in Dallas, Texas, United States. It is one of the main teaching hospitals of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Parkland Memorial Hospital is a hospital in Dallas, Texas, United States. It is the main hospital of the Parkland Health & Hospital System and serves as Dallas County's public hospital. It is located within the Southwestern Medical District. The hospital is staffed by the faculty, residents, and medical students of UT Southwestern Medical Center.

The Cathedral of Hope (CoH), a member congregation of the United Church of Christ, is an historically and predominantly LGBT congregation located in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, Texas, in the United States. The Dallas Cathedral of Hope is said to be the world's largest inclusive "liberal Christian church with a primary outreach to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons", with a membership of over 4,000 local members. The postmodern cathedral was designed by Philip Cortelyou Johnson and has not been built yet, even after it was revised five times from the first design by the architect at the request of the Rev. Michael Piazza, then dean of the Cathedral. Donald Bruce Kaufman was consulted for the painting of the exterior. The building is ten stories high and complemented with a 78-foot bell tower commemoration of HIV/AIDS victims. The physical building is symbolic to the liberal Christian faith that hosts and is found in a considerably conservative area. The main building was completed in 2002, at a construction cost of approximately $20 million, and can accommodate up to 2,200 worshippers at once. Piazza was the senior pastor for nearly twenty years between the late 1980s and 1990s. He oversaw the largest growth in the church's history, from 250 members to more than 3,000, while ministering through the AIDS crisis. Other campuses are located in Mid-Cities (between Dallas and Fort Worth), and Oklahoma City. Its national outreach program reaches a further online audience nationwide. The Cathedral of Hope joined the United Church of Christ in February 2007, having previously been the flagship congregation of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches. In November 2009, construction was commenced on the Cathedral of Hope's Interfaith Peace Chapel, designed by the prominent architect Philip Johnson (Alan Ritchie Architects). Dedication of the building was on November 7, 2010. The Rev. Dr. Neil Cazares-Thomas has been the cathedral's senior pastor since May 2015.

Medical/Market Center station is a Trinity Railway Express commuter rail station in Dallas, Texas. It is located at Motor Street and Medical Center Drive along the Stemmons Corridor (Interstate 35E) in North Dallas. It opened on December 30, 1996, and serves Dallas Market Center and the nearby medical district which includes Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children's Medical Center of Dallas, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital and Zale Lipshy Pavilion – William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital.

Children's Medical Center Dallas is a nationally ranked pediatric acute care teaching hospital located in Dallas, Texas, USA. The hospital has 496 pediatric beds and is affiliated with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. It provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens and young adults aged 0–21 throughout Texas and surrounding regions. It sometimes treats adults who require pediatric care as well. It has an ACS designated level 1 pediatric trauma center, one of five in Texas. The hospital also has affiliations with the adjacent Parkland Memorial Hospital. Children's Medical Center Dallas is the main hospital campus of Children's Health, the only academic healthcare system in Dallas-Fort Worth dedicated solely to the comprehensive care of children from birth to age 21. Children's Health started with just the Dallas location, but has grown to include Children's Medical Center Plano as well as several other pediatric specialty, primary care and urgent care centers located throughout North Texas. It is one of the largest pediatric hospitals in the US.

Braniff Jetrail Fastpark System was a suspended monorail system that operated at Dallas Love Field in Dallas, Texas, United States, from April 18, 1970, until January 13, 1974. It was built by Stanray Corporation, Chicago, Illinois, for and operated by Braniff International Airways to transport passengers and their luggage from remote parking lots to the airport terminal. Jetrail was the world's first fully automated monorail transit system. The system, however, continued in operation when Braniff moved the majority of its operations to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on January 13, 1974. Braniff continued to operate intrastate service from Love Field to both Houston Hobby and San Antonio International Airports, to compete with Southwest Airlines, until September 1, 1974. At that time, all Jetrail operations ceased.

Love Field is a neighborhood located in northwest Dallas, Texas (USA). It lies southwest of and is adjacent to Dallas Love Field Airport and is bounded by Denton Drive, Inwood Road, Harry Hines Boulevard, and Webb Chapel Extension. The neighborhood takes its name from Love Field Airport.

The Renaissance Dallas Hotel is a 30-story, 137.47 m (451.0 ft) skyscraper hotel in Dallas, Texas. The hotel, with floors, has 514 guest rooms and was completed in 1983, when it opened as a Wyndham hotel. The Renaissance Hotel currently stands as the 24th-tallest building in the city. The building was designed by architect Dahl Braden Chapman. Variously nicknamed "The Bic", "The Bic Lighter", "The Stick", "The Speedstick", "The Mennen Speedstick." The Renaissance Dallas Hotel used to hold the world's second largest free-standing chandelier in the world. It was just replaced in 2011. The hotel is also known for its distinctive elliptical shape and diagonal roofline. The slanted roofline provides for a large curtain wall. This shelters the building's open-air rooftop swimming pool, which is one of the highest pools in Dallas. The building's unique design led to it being prominently featured in a cover image of a 1984 issue of National Geographic. The structure initially opened in 1983 as a Wyndham hotel, but was renamed in 1987 after Stouffer parent company Nestlé approved its acquisition in 1987. Stouffer Hotels Corporation took the hotel over from real estate developer Trammel Crow via a controlling joint ownership venture and managing contract agreement. The building was acquired by Marriot International in 1997 with its Renaissance brand.
