Garrowhill (Scots: Garraehill or Garrahull, Scottish Gaelic: An Cnoc Garbh) is a residential area within the wider Baillieston suburb of Glasgow, Scotland. It is situated approximately 7 miles (11 km) east of the city centre.

It is on the Whifflet Line (a branch of the more extensive Argyle Line), 8 miles (13 km) east of Glasgow Central railway station. Train services are provided by ScotRail. The line was built in the period 1864-1866 by the Caledonian Railway and was called the Rutherglen to Coatbridge branch. The new station opened by British Rail on 4 October 1993 under the financial management of the Strathclyde PTE.

The Daldowie Dovecot is a Category A listed dovecote in Glasgow, Scotland. It was built in the mid-18th century on the north bank of the River Clyde, in the grounds of the former Daldowie House estate. It stood isolated for several decades within the grounds of Daldowie Sewage Works, and was dismantled and re-erected in its present location on the A74 Hamilton Road (south of Mount Vernon) in 2000, at a cost of £500,000.

Springhill is a district in the Scottish city of Glasgow. It is situated north of the River Clyde on the eastern edge of the city, north of the areas of Baillieston and Garrowhill and west of Swinton.Springhill consists mainly of semi-detached and detached family houses built in the 1990s, as well as Glasgow Business Park, a partly-completed industrial and commercial estate near to the neighbourhoods of Barlanark and Easthall, which features the local DVSA driving test centre and a 4-metre high landmark wire sculpture of a Clydesdale Horse by Andy Scott, who has other works on display in the vicinity - a phoenix in Easterhouse and a group of sirens at the water tower in Cranhill. The district has a few local shops as well as a pub/restaurant, but most other amenities are located in Baillieston or Easterhouse. Easterhouse railway station gives direct access to the centre of Glasgow and regular local bus services run along Edinburgh Road to the south of the district. Springhill can be accessed from the M8 motorway, using junctions 9 or 10. Sandaig Primary School and St Bridget's Primary School serve the local area, and from here pupils attend St Ambrose High School Coatbridge, and Bannerman High School.

The station relaunched as Heart on 6 May 2014, serving central and southern Scotland from studios in Glasgow city centre. Heart Scotland originally broadcast as Scot FM until 2001, when Guardian Media Group bought the station, leading to a relaunch as Real Radio Scotland. Global Radio acquired GMG Radio on 25 June 2012, but operated Real Radio in a "hold separate" situation known as Real and Smooth Ltd, which ended on 1 April 2014.
