The West Street Chapel is a former chapel at 26 West Street, London WC2. It was John Wesley’s first Methodist chapel in London's West End.

The Ivy is a British restaurant which is known for being popular with celebrities. It is located on West Street near Cambridge Circus in London, opposite the Ambassadors and St Martin's theatres, making it a popular restaurant for theatergoers. The Ivy has locations in Great Britain and Ireland.

West Street is a street in London, that runs from Shaftesbury Avenue in the north to Upper St Martin's Lane in the south. It is joined by Litchfield Street on its south side and the pedestrian Tower Court on the north side. The east side of the street is in the London Borough of Camden and the western side in the City of Westminster.

Bunjies Coffee House & Folk Cellar was a cafe situated at 27 Litchfield Street (just off Charing Cross Road), London WC2. Opened in 1953 or 1954, it was one of the original folk cafés of the 1950s and 1960s. Below the café, in a 400-year-old wine cellar, was an influential music venue which changed little until its closure (and conversion of the premises into a restaurant) in 1999. Allegedly named after the first owner's pet hamster, the venue featured, early in their careers, Tom Paxton, John Renbourn, Bert Jansch, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon. Al Stewart secured a residency at the Folk Cellar in 1965, at the age of 19, which was a significant factor in his later success.During the 1960s the venue was run by two brothers, Leo and Theo Johnson and, at this time, a range of artists more associated with mainstream pop music than folk happily performed to tiny audiences in the confines of the cellar; Phil Collins, Sandie Shaw, Cat Stevens, Art Garfunkel, Rod Stewart, Long John Baldry, Amory Kane, and David Bowie being amongst them.In the early sixties, the Coffee House was owned by Lou Hart, and Wednesday night in the cellar was run by Bob Wilson, an art student at St Martins, and Leonore Drewry. Bob finally returned to Staffordshire and Leonore became the resident folksinger at the Ambiance Restaurant in Bayswater. The club was left in the hands of Bert Jansch, newly down from Edinburgh, and Charles Pearce, an art student at the Central School. During this time, a new generation of singers and musicians would come in and play: Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Derroll Adams, Diz Disley and many more including composer John Palmer who played there as a young songwriter in the late 1970s.Bunjies was also a haunt of many writers, comedians and artists. Regulars have included Jarvis Cocker of Pulp.Other London folk cafés of the 1950s and 1960s included Les Cousins and The Troubadour.

Litchfield Street is a street in the City of Westminster, London, that runs from Charing Cross Road in the west to West Street in the east. The street is only half its original length.In 1929 Anton Zwemmer established the Zwemmer Gallery in Litchfield Street (near the corner with Charing Cross Road), which became "a mecca for artists throughout Britain and a center for the modern art movement".Bunjies Coffee House & Folk Cellar, one of the original folk cafés of the 1950s/1960s, was situated at 27 Litchfield Street. On 15 February 1996, a 5-pound (2.3 kg) high explosive bomb placed in a telephone box at the junction of Charing Cross Road and Litchfield Street, was disarmed by Police.

The Ambassadors Theatre (formerly the New Ambassadors Theatre), is a West End theatre located in West Street, near Cambridge Circus on Charing Cross Road in the City of Westminster. It is one of the smallest of the West End theatres, seating a maximum of 444, with 195 people in the dress circle and 251 in the stalls.

Murder One was a bookshop in the Charing Cross Road from 1988 to 2009, "catering to readers interested in hard-to-find and collectable crime, mystery, romance and science fiction literature". It was the first UK bookshop to specialize in the crime and mystery genres, and at its opening in 1988 the largest specialist "genre" bookshop in Europe. It was owned by the novelist Maxim Jakubowski. The bookshop closed upon the owner's retirement in January 2009. The shop still exists as a mail-order business, owned by a previous employee of the Murder One shop, Tanya Stone.

Tower Street is a street in Covent Garden, in the London Borough of Camden. It runs from Earlham Street in the north to Monmouth Street in the south and is crossed only by the pedestrianised Tower Court.

St Mary's Church, Charing Cross Road (in full, St Mary the Virgin), was an Anglican church in Charing Cross Road (originally Crown Street), Westminster, from 1851. The building was formerly the site of an ancient church, called 'The Greek Church', and St Mary's was never fully built, with only the chancel and the north aisle being completed. The structure was demolished in the 1930s.

The Silver Moon Bookshop was a feminist bookstore on Charing Cross Road in London founded in 1984 by Jane Cholmeley and Sue Butterworth, its name derived from the two symbols of womanhood from a poem by Sappho.In 1989 Silver Moon Bookshop won the Pandora Award for "contributing most to promoting the status of women in publishing and related trades". In 1990 Cholmeley and Butterworth established an associated publishing business, Silver Moon Books. After 17 years, rising rents from the Soho Housing Association forced the shop to close on November 18, 2001. It was then incorporated into Foyles bookshop, till 2004, when the Silver Moon department closed.

Henderson's, better known as The Bomb Shop, was a bookshop at 66 Charing Cross Road, London known for publishing and selling both radical left and anarchist writing and modernist literature. The shop was founded in 1909, and was a father and son operation run by Francis Riddell Henderson, formerly the London representative of Walter Scott Publishing. The shop was bought by Eva Collet Reckitt, and became the first of the Collet's chain of left-wing bookshops.
