Lake June station

KEXB (1440 AM) is a radio station, licensed to University Park, Texas, and serving the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It is owned and operated by Relevant Radio, Inc., and carries a Catholic talk and teaching radio format. Most of the programming comes from the Wisconsin-based radio network known as "Relevant Radio." By day, KEXB is powered at 50,000 watts, the maximum for AM radio stations licensed by the Federal Communications Commission. But at night, to protect other stations on 1440 AM, it reduces power to 350 watts. It uses a directional antenna at all times, employing a four to five-tower array. The transmitter is off Bruton Road in Dallas.

Trinity Forest Golf Club is an 18-hole private golf club in the southern United States, located in Dallas, Texas.Southeast of downtown Dallas, the club was founded in 2014 and the course opened for play in autumn 2016. Built on a former landfill, the treeless links-style course was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and features diversely architectured holes over undulating terrain.Trinity Forest became the host course for the AT&T Byron Nelson on the PGA Tour in 2018, held in May. However, after years of declining revenue, along with other issues such as lack of entertainment and dining options in the area, the PGA Tour removed it from the 2020 schedule and moved the event to the TPC Craig Ranch when the event was revived for 2021. It is also the home of the SMU Mustangs men's and women's college golf teams.

Buckner station is a DART light rail station located in southeast Dallas, Texas for service on the Green Line. The station opened as part of the Green Line's expansion in December 2010. Buckner Station serves as the southern terminus of the Green Line. It is located in southeast Dallas at the intersection of Elam Road and Buckner Boulevard in the vicinity of the Pleasant Grove neighborhood.

Elam or Elam Station is a settlement in Southeast Dallas, Texas, United States, which was first settled in 1881 and acquired a post office April 9, 1884 with the name of Elam Station. On September 7, 1899, the name was changed to Elam. The Post Office continued to function until March 15, 1904, when mail was serviced by Rylie. The area was annexed to Dallas in 1959. Noted for its skating rink (Twilight Time Skating Palace), Bowling Alley (Buckner Bowl), and Crawford Park. it is now host to the new 75227 Post Office and Dart Station.

Lawnview station or Lawnview Avenue station is a DART Light Rail station in Dallas, Texas. It is located in southeastern Dallas and serves the Green Line. The station opened as part of the Green Line's expansion in December 2010.

The Great Trinity Forest is a forested urban park located on the southern outskirts of the heavily urbanized area of southern Dallas, Texas, and it is recognized as the largest urban forest in the United States.

Scyene ( sye-EEN) was a small town in East Central Dallas County, Texas, United States, 10 mi (16 km) east-southeast of downtown Dallas. It is now a neighborhood in east Dallas, just west of Mesquite. The town's location was bounded by South Sam Houston and Cheyenne roads on the east, Military Parkway on the north, North Prairie Creek (the creek, not the road) on the west, and Bruton Road on the south. The center of the town was located at the intersection of Scyene Road and North Saint Augustine Drive (9600 Scyene Rd. & 3000 N. St. Augustine Dr.). Scyene was officially established in 1854 when a post office was built in the city. Prior to that the town had been called either Thorpville or Prairie Creek. The town name was suggested by James Beeman with the spelling of "Seine," but residents first spelled it "Sceyne," which eventually changed to Scyene. The town was notable for residents Jesse and Frank James, Cole and Bob Younger, and Myra Shirley, later known as Belle Starr, who moved to Scyene during the Civil War, in 1864. At its zenith, in 1873, Scyene had a population of approximately 300, a Masonic Lodge, a wagon factory, and six saloons. That same year, however, the Texas and Pacific Railway bypassed the town due to its refusal to build a depot at its own expense, causing a slow decline of the town into today's Dallas neighborhood and giving rise to the city of Mesquite, where the railroad built its own depot. In the mid to late 1950s, a developer built homes and shopping in the area called Riverway Estates/Bruton Terrace, named for the homes lining the water formed by the lake known as Lake June. While the dam on Prairie Creek is now open, and the bulk of the lake has dwindled, the lake still exists. The eastern portion of this development is located in what was once part of the town of Scyene. Scyene was annexed to Dallas in 1950.

W. W. Samuell High School and Early College is a public secondary school located in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas, Texas, US. Samuell High enrolls students in grades 9–12 and is a part of the Dallas Independent School District. The school serves portions of southeast Dallas and a portion of the city of Balch Springs. In 2015, the school was rated "met standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Lincoln High School is public high school located in Dallas, Texas (USA) which enrolls students in grades 9-12 and is a part of the Dallas Independent School District. Lincoln's magnet school offers Radio/Television/Film, Print Journalism, and Humanities. Lincoln has a variety of activities including Academic Decathlon, Debate, One Act Play, The Wall Of Sound Marching Band, and a variety of sports. The school has won national and state championships in boys' basketball. For the 2018-2020 biennium, Lincoln is classified by the University Interscholastic League (UIL) as a 4A Division school, competing in District 4A-5 (Division II) in football, and District 4A-12 in all other sports.In 2018, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency, with a 2-Star Distinction for Academic Achievements in Mathematics and Post Secondary Readiness.

Hatcher station or Hatcher Street station is a DART Light Rail station located in Dallas, Texas. It serves the Green Line. The station opened as part of the Green Line's expansion in December 2010. DART owns several vacant lots next to the station that are planned to be used as a community garden for urban farming.With Hatcher Street being renamed to Elise Faye Heggins Street, it is unknown if the station will change its name as well.

Maria Kannon Zen Center (MKZC) is a non-profit practice center in the Sanbo Kyodan tradition of Zen Buddhism, located in Dallas, Texas and founded in 1991 by the guiding teacher Ruben Habito (a Dharma heir of Yamada Koun). MKZC derives its name by combining the names of the Virgin Mary of Christianity and Kannon bodhisattva of Buddhism. It is actually the name of a figurine revered in Japan during Christian persecution there. Many of the MKZC members are individuals who consider themselves Christian, with Habito himself being a practicing Catholic and former Jesuit priest. MKZC is listed with the American Zen Teachers Association.[1]
