Great Wilbraham Preceptory

Great Wilbraham is a small village situated in a rural area some seven miles (11 km) to the east of Cambridge, between the edge of an area of low-lying drained fens to the west and north, and higher ground beyond the A11 to the east. The administrative authorities are Cambridgeshire County Council, South Cambridgeshire District Council, and Great Wilbraham Parish Council.

It is managed by the Commons Right Holders.This is one of the largest remaining areas of species-rich grassland in the county. Locally uncommon flora include purple milk-vetch, felwort, meadow saxifrage, green-winged orchid and sulphur clover.There is access by a footpath from Wilbraham Road

Bottisham is a village and civil parish in the East Cambridgeshire district of Cambridgeshire, England, about 6 miles (10 km) east of Cambridge, halfway to Newmarket. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 1,983, including Chittering, increasing to 2,199 at the 2011 Census.

Fulbourn Fen is a 27.3-hectare (67-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire. It is privately owned and managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.There are ancient meadows on calcareous loam and peat which have never been intensively farmed, so they have a rich diversity of flora and fauna. Herbs in drier areas include cowslip and salad burnet, while wetter areas have tall fen vegetation.There is access by a track from Stonebridge Lane.There are eight separately named woods in Fulbourn Fen: The Cringles - north & north-east Moat Wood - north-west Thackets Wood - west Ansett's Wood - south-west Old Orchard - south Hancock's Wood - central Widow's Wood - south-east Old Orchard - southand five separate meadows: Ox Meadow - west Moat Meadow - north-west - the site of the remains of Zouches Manor Long Fen Pasture - central East Fen Pasture - east Four Acre - south-east

Zouches Manor (also Zouches Castle) was an Anglo-Saxon moated manor in Fulbourn Fen, a Site of Special Scientific Interest in the village of Fulbourn, Cambridgeshire, England. It is one of the historic Five Manors of Fulbourn and recorded to have existed 1066 AD to 1539 AD.

Bottisham Hall is a country house in Bottisham, Cambridgeshire, England. Built in 1797 for the Reverend George Leonard Jenyns to replace the family's previous home on the same estate, it is set in 56 hectares of parkland. It is listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England.

Fulbourn railway station (for some time misspelled "Fulbourne" by British Rail) is a disused railway station on the Ipswich to Ely Line, and located between Cambridge and Six Mile Bottom. It served the Cambridgeshire village of Fulbourn, until its closure in January 1967. Although the station is now closed, the line remains in use—with passenger services provided by Abellio Greater Anglia. Reopening of the station was proposed by Cambridgeshire County Council in May 2013 as part of an infrastructure plan to deal with projected population growth up to 2050.

Fleam Dyke is a linear earthwork between Fulbourn and Balsham in Cambridgeshire, initiated at some timepoint between AD 330 and AD 510. It is three miles long and seven metres high from ditch to bank, and its ditch faces westwards, implying invading Saxons as its architects. Later, it formed a boundary of the late Anglo-Saxon administrative division of Flendish Hundred. At a prominent point, the earthwork runs beside Mutlow Hill, crowned by a 4000-year-old Bronze Age burial mound. The entire length is now a Scheduled Monument and a 7.8-hectare (19-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Swaffham Bulbeck is a small village in East Cambridgeshire, England. Swaffham Bulbeck is located about 8 miles (13 km) from the city of Cambridge, and 6 miles (10 km) from the famous racing town of Newmarket. The parish of Swaffham Bulbeck is part of the Diocese of Ely and the Deanery of Fordham and Quy. The benefice consists of five parishes, Swaffham Bulbeck, Swaffham Prior, Bottisham, Lode and Quy. Children initially attend primary school in the village and usually then go on to Bottisham Village College.

Balsham Road railway station served Balsham and Fulbourn in Cambridgeshire. It closed in 1851, along with its line (the Newmarket and Chesterford Railway) which was one of the earliest line closures in England.
