The Israeli Bangkok embassy hostage crisis occurred on 28 December 1972. It was a raid by a squad of four Palestinian militants, belonging to the Black September organization, on the Israeli embassy building in Bangkok in which the terrorists held six Israeli embassy staff hostage. After 19 hours of negotiations, the terrorists agreed to abandon the embassy in exchange for being flown to Egypt. The raid was one of a number of attacks that have been conducted against Israeli embassies and diplomats.

The ESSE Asoke is a skyscraper in Bangkok, Thailand that stands at 777 feet tall. It was completed in 2019. It is a residential tower with 419 individual residences.

Asok Montri Road, or Soi Sukhumvit 21 (also Asoke Montri Road, Thai: ถนนอโศกมนตรี, RTGS: Thanon Asok Montri, pronounced [tʰā.nǒn ʔā.sòːk mōn.trīː]), is a major road in Bangkok, Thailand. It is often referred to as simply Asok or Asoke. It runs north from Sukhuvmit Road and forms part of the Ratchadaphisek inner ring road. It contains many offices buildings and shops. Although the road has a capacity of 35,000, more than 100,000 vehicles use the road daily, causing major congestion. The junction of Sukhuvmit Road and Asok Montri Road is a major road junction known as Asok Intersection, and is also the location of Asok BTS station and Sukhumvit MRT station. In 2013 there were plans to build an elevated highway but as of 2019 construction has not started.

NIST International School (Thai: โรงเรียนนานาชาตินิสท์, RTGS: Rong Rian Nana Chat Nit) is an international school located in the Watthana District of Bangkok, Thailand. It was established in 1992 with support and guidance from the Bangkok-based branch of the United Nations. A full International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, NIST welcomes more than 1,700 students of over 60 nationalities. As one of the only not-for-profit international schools in Thailand, it is governed by the parent-elected NIST International School Foundation.

The Kamthieng House Museum (Thai: พิพิธภัณฑ์เรือนคำเที่ยง) is a museum in Watthana District, Bangkok, run by the Siam Society under royal patronage. It is a 174-year-old traditional teakwood house from Chiang Mai that was transported to Bangkok and opened by King Bhumibol in 1966. The house is an example of traditional housing from Northern Thailand and showcases the culture and lifestyle of the northern Lanna people. Due to its exposure to the elements for around 2 centuries, the house is in a fragile state, with the roof being in need for renovation.

Phetchaburi MRT station (Thai: สถานีเพชรบุรี, pronounced [sā.tʰǎː.nīː pʰét.t͡ɕʰā.bū.rīː]; code BL21) is a Bangkok MRT station on the Blue Line. It is located under the junction of Asok and New Phetchaburi Road. One can transfer to the Airport Rail Link at Makkasan Station, and the SRT Eastern Line at Asok Halt, located at ground level.

Clinton Plaza was a thriving but short-lived nightlife district in Bangkok, Thailand, on Sukhumvit Road between Soi 13 and Soi 15. Its location was excellent, being midway between the Nana Entertainment Plaza to the west and the Soi Cowboy nightlife area to the east. The plaza, the brainchild of a Dutchman and an American, but then in 1999 was taken over by a New Zealand entrepreneur, began as a collection of beer bars in 1998. The following year it was named after then U.S. President Bill Clinton. A number of lively go-go bars appeared in 2000. Many of the names were tongue in cheek jabs at the president, including Monica Beer Bar, Bill's Coffee House and the White House.In 2001 the Interior Minister of Thailand, Purachai Piumsombun, began a campaign to enforce his ideas of social order. A 01:00 closing hour for all bars and nightclubs was enforced and employment of nude dancers was discouraged. The shortened hours, combined with contractual disputes related to redevelopment plans, led to the complete shut down of the bar area by May 2003. The existing structures were razed and a hotel has since been built on the location. The Clinton Plaza bars Checkpoint Charlie and Hollywood-a-Go-Go appear in Jordan Clark's 2005 documentary Falang: Behind Bangkok's Smile which takes a critical view of sex tourism in Thailand.

Sukhumvit MRT station (Thai: สถานีสุขุมวิท, RTGS: Sathani Sukhumwit) is an MRT station on the Blue Line, located below Asok Intersection between Sukhumvit Road and Asok Montri Road in Bangkok, Thailand. The station provides an interchange with the BTS Sukhumvit Line. It is one of the busiest stations on the network.The station has three underground levels including a shopping zone.

Phetchaburi Road (Thai: ถนนเพชรบุรี, pronounced [tʰā.nǒn pʰét.t͡ɕʰā.bū.rīː]) is a main road of Bangkok. It starts at Yommarat Intersection near Yommarat Railway Halt and Uruphong Intersection and ends at Khlong Tan Intersection, passing through four districts, Dusit, Ratchathewi, Huai Khwang, and Suan Luang. Its length is about 9 km (5.6 mi). The road runs near places such as Pratunam Intersection, Pantip Plaza, Platinum Fashion Mall, Embassy of The Republic of Indonesia, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), and Saint Dominic School. It was built in July 1905 during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) starting at the end of Ko Suea Road (ถนนคอเสื้อ; lit: 'collar road'; today's Phitsanulok Road) and terminating at Pratunam. It was originally called "Pra Chae Chin Road" (ถนนประแจจีน; 'Chinese decorative design road') after a type of Chinese porcelain, one of the most popular collections in that era. Later on 16 February 1919, King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) bestowed the new name of the Phetchaburi Road. The name honors one of the members of the Thai royal family, Valaya Alongkorn, Princess of Phetchaburi. In 1962, the road was extended from Pratunam to the end of the Khlong Tan, officially opening the following year. This section of the road is often unofficially called "New Phetchaburi Road" (ถนนเพชรบุรีตัดใหม่). New Phetchaburi Road became infamous in the 1960s and early-1970s for its "American strip" of bars, massage parlours, brothels, and clubs frequented by US GIs on leave from Vietnam.On the night of 24 September 1990, a serious accident occurred in New Phetchaburi Road near the intersection with Witthayu Road. A gas tank truck overturned, resulting in an explosion of LPG which caused a great fire. There were hundreds of casualties and deaths.

Nana station (Thai: สถานีนานา, pronounced [sā.tʰǎː.nīː nāː.nāː]) is a BTS skytrain station, on the Sukhumvit Line in Khlong Toei and Watthana Districts, Bangkok, Thailand. The station is on Sukhumvit Road at Soi Sukhumvit 9, east of Nana intersection (Soi Sukhumvit 3). It is surrounded by a variety of hotels and facilities for foreign tourists. The red-light district and the Nana Plaza area are also in walking distance from the station.

Chuvit Garden (also known as Chuwit Park) was a private park in Bangkok, at Sukhumvit Soi 10. It was created in 2006 by Chuwit Kamolvisit who owns the area. The block was formerly known as Sukhumvit Square. The park was open to the public daily from 08:00 to 10:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. In the early hours of 26 January 2003 about 120 bars and other businesses on this plot of land were demolished. Chuwit was accused of having masterminded this action to get rid of unwanted tenants. In an interview in 2004, he admitted to having paid police to carry out the raid, but when they later demanded more money he refused. He was acquitted of all charges related to the raid in July 2006.In the late 2017, this park was closed by Chuwit Kamolvisit sold this land to Land and Houses with a value of 5,000 million baht.

Makkasan station (Thai: สถานีมักกะสัน) is a rapid transit station on the Airport Rail Link. The station was opened in August 2010. It was the terminal station for the Airport Rail Link Express Line, which was suspended in September 2014 due to a shortage of rolling stock. Currently, the station is a stop on the Airport Rail Link City Line. Until September 2014, Thai Airways' City Air Terminal check-in facilities were located inside the station. The station has a skywalk, accessible by escalators and elevator, connecting it to Phetchaburi MRT station, on the MRT Blue Line.
