Mobile City Hospital

The United States Marine Hospital, formerly known as Frank S. Keeler Memorial Hospital, is a historic Greek Revival hospital building in Mobile, Alabama, United States. Construction began in 1838 and was completed in 1842. It was designed by architect Frederick Bunnell and was operated by the Marine Hospital Service from its opening until it closed, in 1952. It treated injured Confederate and Union soldiers during the American Civil War. It shares some design features, such as its two-story colonnades, with its neighbor, the old Mobile City Hospital. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 27, 1974. The Mobile County Board of Health acquired the title to the property from the Tuberculosis Association on October 23, 1975. By 1983 the board had created an adjoining new structure to the rear of the main structure and restored the historic building. The facility was rededicated as the Major General William C. Gorgas Clinic in 1984.

Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church was a historic Roman Catholic church building in Mobile, Alabama, United States. It served as the parish church for St. Joseph's Parish in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mobile. St. Joseph's Parish was the third oldest in Mobile. It was formed in 1857 to serve Catholics too far removed from the downtown Cathedral and the Church of St. Vincent de Paul in South Mobile. St. Joseph's Parish was approaching its 160th year of service before its closure in 2018.

The Caldwell School is a historic former black school building in Mobile, Alabama. The school, originally named the Broad Street Academy, was the first public high school for African Americans in the city. It was founded in 1887, with William A. Caldwell serving as the first principal.The original building was torn down and replaced with the current one in 1947. Upon reopening in the new building, it served as an African American elementary school. It was called the Caldwell School in honor of its first principal from this point until closing during the 1960s.Following the closure of the school the building was purchased by Bishop State Community College, a historically African American junior college. It is currently the oldest building on the Broad Street college campus and is utilized for administrative and teaching purposes. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 20, 2011.

Bishop State Community College (BSCC) is a public, historically black community college with campuses and facilities throughout Mobile and Washington Counties in Alabama. The college was founded in Mobile, Alabama, in 1927, and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. It offers more than 50 associate degree and certificate programs.BSCC's athletic teams compete in the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). They are collectively known as the Wildcats.

The Convent of Mercy, known today as the St. Francis Place Condominiums, is a small complex of historic Roman Catholic religious buildings in Mobile, Alabama, United States. It consists of two buildings, the former convent and the former school. They were added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 24, 1992 as a part of the Historic Roman Catholic Properties in Mobile Multiple Property Submission. It, along with the Convent and Academy of the Visitation, is one of two surviving historic convent complexes in Mobile.

The Protestant Children's Home, also known as the Protestant Orphans' Asylum, is a historic orphanage building in Mobile, Alabama, United States. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 18, 1973. In 2015 the building was leased to the Infant Mystics society which began using it as a meeting lodge, renaming the place Cotton Hall.

Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church is a historic African Methodist Episcopal Church congregation in Mobile, Alabama, United States. Emanuel AME began when church trustees purchased a vacant lot for their church in 1869, as African Americans in Mobile established their own congregations following the American Civil War. The trustees completed a frame building in that same year. The frame building was altered in 1881 when James F. Hutchisson, a locally prominent white architect, was hired to design a new facade. The existing building was faced in brick and the facade was redesigned in the Gothic Revival style. This made Emanuel AME Church comparable to white churches in the city and superior to both African American and white rural churches of the period. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 1987, due to its architectural and historic significance.

The Common Street District is a historic district in Mobile, Alabama. It is composed of seventeen residences from 959 to 1002 Dauphin Street and 7 to 19 Common Street, primarily featuring examples of Greek Revival, Italianate, and Queen Anne style architecture. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 4, 1982. The district was later absorbed into the much larger Old Dauphin Way Historic District.

St. Louis Street Missionary Baptist Church is a historic African American church in Mobile, Alabama. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 8, 1976, due to its architectural and historic significance.

The Vickers and Schumacher Buildings are a pair of historic adjoining commercial buildings in downtown Mobile, Alabama. The two-story brick masonry buildings were completed in 1866 and once served to house the Schumacher Carriage Works. They were placed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 22, 1983. The buildings were purchased by Cornell Family Properties in 2005 and restored.

Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church is a Catholic church in Mobile, Alabama administered by the Josephites. The Knights of Peter Claver, the largest and oldest Black Catholic organization in the United States, was founded by congregants and priests from the parish in 1909. Its clergy and congregation later took an active role in the Civil Rights Movement.

The Automobile Alley Historic District in Mobile, Alabama is a 30 acres (12 ha) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.When first listed, it included 156-157 N. Cedar, 108 N. Dearborn, 100-101 N. Franklin, 156 N. Hamilton, 163 N. Lawrence, 453-701 St. Anthony Sts. in Mobile. The district was enlarged in 2023.
