Sesame Place San Diego is a children's theme park and water park, located in Chula Vista, California. It opened on March 26, 2022, on the former site of Aquatica San Diego. It is the first theme park in the world to open up as a certified autism center by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). Sesame Place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was the first theme park in the world to be a certified autism center. Sesame Place San Diego is owned and operated by United Parks & Resorts, which operates the park under an exclusive license from Sesame Workshop, the non-profit owner of Sesame Street.

Ocean View Hills (sometimes referred to as Ocean Crest) is a residential neighborhood in the southern section of San Diego. Brown Field Municipal Airport (IATA: SDM, ICAO: KSDM, FAA LID: SDM) is in the Otay Mesa neighborhood of San Diego, California, United States, 13 miles (21 km) southeast of Downtown San Diego and named in honor of Commander Melville S. Brown, USN, who was killed in an airplane crash in 1936. Its main runway is 7,972 feet (2,430 m) long. Its FAA/IATA airport code is SDM. Formerly Naval Auxiliary Air Station Brown Field, it is now a civilian reliever airport and a port of entry from Mexico. It is sometimes staffed by the U.S. Customs Service, but only upon request of incoming pilots to the Federal Aviation Administration. The development plans for the SDM airport have been announced on 4th Oct 2022, the development will occur in phases over 20 years. The plans include a new FBO terminal building and individual airplane hangars. There is also talk of adding a million square feet of retail and industrial buildings and possibly a hotel.

Olympian High School is a public high school located within the Sweetwater Union High School District in San Diego County, California. The school, with a capacity of 2,500 students, opened in August 2006. It is located in the outskirts of the Otay Ranch area of Chula Vista.

Rancho Otay was a 6,658-acre (26.94 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day San Diego County, California given in 1829 by Governor José María de Echeandía to Magdelena Estudillo. The grant in the present-day Otay Mesa area, extended along the Otay River, just west of Lower Otay Reservoir.

Mater Dei Catholic (MDCHS) is a private, Roman Catholic TK-12 school in Chula Vista, California, United States. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego. In 1960, Bishop Charles F. Buddy founded the first co-educational Catholic high school in the Diocese of San Diego. It would be built on twenty acres of land donated by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Egger. Seventy young students and a faculty of four embarked on a lasting venture which was to become known as Marian High School. These boys and girls carried the hopes and best wishes of many people as they attended classes in a three­ room division of St. Charles School across the street from what would be the future campus. In 2002, the Diocese of San Diego decided to upgrade all of its secondary campuses. A new site in Chula Vista was chosen and a new school was built. In 2007, the name was changed from Marian Catholic High School to Mater Dei Catholic and the school moved to its present location. The original campus was located in South San Diego, near the intersection of Coronado Avenue and Thermal Street. Across from Marian Catholic was the parochial K-8 school, Saint Charles Catholic School. The new campus is located in East Chula Vista, in close proximity to Otay Ranch Town Center. Its facilities include the Marian chapel, a track and football stadium, baseball and softball diamonds, tennis courts, full-service 800-seat theater, competition swimming pool, basketball/volleyball gym, environmentally friendly "earth bench". Mater Dei Catholic also sponsors Juan Diego Adult Center, which offers free English and citizenship classes, educational opportunities for personal development which empowers people to reach their full potential in regards to employment and participation in civic, community and parish affairs.

San Ysidro Transit Center is a San Diego Trolley station in the San Ysidro neighborhood of San Diego, California. The station is the southern terminus of the Blue Line and is located on a short rail spur of the San Diego and Arizona Eastern Railway. Located just north of the San Ysidro Port of Entry at the Mexico–United States border, San Ysidro serves primarily as a way to provide access to downtown for the thousands of international commuters and tourists who travel between San Diego County and Tijuana, Mexico. It also provides access to the large shopping areas, including the Las Americas Premium Outlets which are connected to the stop via a pedestrian walkway. An intercity bus station is located adjacent to the station. It is the second busiest station in the San Diego Trolley, with nearly 18,000 passengers using the station each day.
