Urbana Township is a township in Champaign County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 7,556 and it contained 3,463 housing units.

Urbana ( ur-BAN-ə) is a city in and the county seat of Champaign County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2020 census, Urbana had a population of 38,336. As of the 2010 United States Census, Urbana is the 38th-most populous municipality in Illinois. It is included in the Champaign–Urbana metropolitan area. Urbana is notable for sharing the campus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with its twin city of Champaign.

Deers is an unincorporated community southeast of Urbana in Champaign County, Illinois, United States. There are only two houses in Deers. There is a sign on a utility pole reading "Deers: Pop – Few". A post office was established at Deers in 1887, and remained in operation until 1913. The community's name honors Thomas Deer, a local pioneer.Deers elevator (Section 6, Sidney Township) was built along the Wabash—Norfolk Southern railroad spur running between Urbana and Sidney 1881−1990, and was operated by Dryer and Burt Grain and Coal in 1913. The elevator and the Deers Station depot post office, at the southeast intersection of county roads 1200N and 1800E, were demolished.Deers was formerly served by Norfolk and Western Railway, but the railroad spur and adjacent siding were abandoned and the tracks taken up in 1991.

Cunningham Township is a township in Champaign County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 38,336 and it contained 18,321 housing units. Cunningham Township is coterminous with the City of Urbana. It is one of two coterminous townships in Champaign County and one of seventeen coterminous townships statewide.

Urbana High School is the only public high school in Urbana, Illinois and was established in 1872.

Lincoln the Lawyer, also known as The Young Circuit Lawyer, Young Lincoln or simply Abraham Lincoln, is a Lorado Taft sculpture now located on the 1000 block of Race Street, Urbana, Illinois, across from Urbana High School in Carle Park. The statue was dedicated by Taft on July 3, 1927. It was moved to the eastern entrance of Carle Park on December 4, 1927, when it was first placed on a pedestal facing due east. Taft requested a slightly different placement, facing southeast, and the statue was moved about 20 feet north to the present site in December 1955. It was restored in 2003, and added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 10, 2004.Lincoln had ridden as a circuit lawyer on the 8th Judicial Circuit through Urbana from 1837 to 1848. The statue was paid for by a bequest of Mrs. J.O. Cunningham who, with her husband, had been friends of Lincoln since his time as a circuit lawyer. The bequest of $10,000 was funded by the sale of her house on nearby Green Street. This amount was less than half of Taft's usual commission for work in bronze, but he may have accepted the commission because of his close ties to the community. He had been raised in nearby Champaign.

The Downtown Urbana Historic District is a commercial historic district encompassing seven city blocks in downtown Urbana, Illinois. The buildings in the district reflects downtown Urbana's development as the county seat of Champaign County and a regional commercial center. While Urbana was founded in the 1830s and began its development in the ensuing decades, the oldest buildings in the district are from the 1870s. The city expanded considerably in the late nineteenth and early to mid twentieth centuries, and most of the district's buildings were constructed during this period. Local architect Joseph Royer designed many of the district's most prominent buildings, including the 1901 Romanesque Revival Champaign County Courthouse.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 27, 2019.

Boneyard Creek is a 3.3-mile-long (5.3 km) waterway that drains much of the cities of Champaign and Urbana, Illinois, United States. It is a tributary of the Saline Branch of the Salt Fork Vermilion River, which is a tributary of the south-flowing Vermilion River and the Wabash River. The creek flows through the northern sections of the campus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The newsletter of the university's ACM chapter is Banks of the Boneyard, named after the creek.

The Urbana-Lincoln Hotel – Lincoln Square Mall is a historic building complex located at 300 South Broadway Avenue in Urbana, Illinois. The Tudor Revival style hotel was built in 1923. In 1964, the mall was built as an extension of the hotel; it was one of the first fully enclosed shopping malls in Illinois. The hotel, the mall, and the building complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. As of October 2017, the mall was still in operation, however the hotel was closed.

WRFU-LP (104.5 FM, "Radio Free Urbana") is a radio station broadcasting a variety music format. Licensed to Urbana, Illinois, United States, the station serves the Champaign area. The station is currently owned by the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center Foundation.

The Station Theatre is a small independent dramatics theatre located in downtown Urbana, Illinois. It was converted into a theatre from a Big Four Railway passenger station in 1967. At that time, it was called The Depot. The building was last used as a passenger station in 1956. The Station Theatre was founded in 1972 and continues to produce both plays and musicals.

The building at 203–205 North Market Street is a historic commercial building located in Champaign, Illinois. Built circa 1870, the building has an architecturally significant Italianate design, stylistically matching its neighbor at 201 North Market Street. The Italianate style was popular in both residential and commercial buildings in the United States from the 1850s through the 1880s. The two-story building's characteristic Italianate features include its tall, narrow arched windows capped with keystones and its brick entablature. The building also has a cast iron storefront with classical details, a popular decorative element in contemporary commercial buildings. A limestone sidewalk, possibly the only 19th-century stone sidewalk remaining in Champaign, runs in front of the building.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 7, 1997, along with its companion building at 201 North Market Street.
