Winton Woods City School District is a city school district in northern Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. Winton Woods serves students living in Forest Park, Greenhills, and Springfield Township. The school district was renamed Winton Woods when Greenhills and Forest Park High Schools were merged in 1991 for the 1991–92 school year. The district's general offices are located at 1215 W. Kemper Rd. in Forest Park, next to the high school. The current superintendent is Anthony G. Smith.

Winton Woods High School serves about 1,560 students from Village of Greenhills, the City of Forest Park, and parts of Springfield Township.

The James Whallon House is a historic former farmhouse in the village of Greenhills near Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It was at least the third Ohio home of James Whallon and his family, who settled in the region in 1800, purchased the land around the present house in 1806, and built a log cabin on the property before constructing the present house in 1816.: 688 The Whallon House is a brick structure, two stories tall and topped with a gabled roof. After military service during the War of 1812, Whallon constructed the house himself, using clay to make the bricks by hand. James Whallon was a leading member of society into the second third of the nineteenth century. Besides farming, he operated a distillery that produced whiskey and brandy, and he held office as a justice of the peace from 1818 to 1835. In his later years, he joined the temperance movement (and consequently closed his distillery) and participated in education, building a school on the site of his log cabin.: 688 Since Whallon's lifetime, his house has served a variety of purposes. For a time, it was the home of George Marquardt, but it has since ceased to be used for residential purposes; in the third quarter of the twentieth century, it was used as a community center. During the Great Depression, the village of Greenhills was constructed as a planned community;: 607  putting the former Winton Road farmhouse within the village.: 688  Today, the house at 11000 Winton Road is the location of the Greenhills village offices.In 1973, the James Whallon House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It qualified for inclusion both because of its well-preserved historic Federal architecture and because of its connection to James Whallon.

Jungle Jim's International Market, formerly Jungle Jim's Farmer's Market, is a large specialty supermarket in Fairfield, Ohio, with a satellite location in Union Township, Clermont County, both near Cincinnati. The main location is roughly 200,000 square feet (4.6 acres or 18,580 square meters), and has been described as a theme park of food. Jungle Jim's offers one of the largest wine selections in the United States, live seafood tanks, and an in-store cooking school. Each week, the store is visited by about 82,000 shoppers, whom founder "Jungle" Jim Bonaminio calls "foodies". Many of the specialty foods in international departments are difficult to find elsewhere in the Greater Cincinnati area, and customers have been known to drive from other cities for the store's wide variety of food. Jungle Jim’s is also known for its use of animatronics as well as other displays.

Mercantile Stores Company Inc. until 1998, was a traditional department store retailer operating 102 fashion apparel stores and 16 home fashion stores in 17 states. The stores were operated under 13 different nameplates and varied in size, with the average store approximating 170,000 sq ft (16,000 m2). Store names included Bacon's, Castner Knott, deLendrecie's, Gayfers, Glass Block, Hennessy's, J. B. White (also known as White's), The Jones Store Company, Joslins, Lion Store, Maison Blanche, McAlpin's, and Root's. Each store offered a wide selection of merchandise with special emphasis placed on fashion apparel, accessories and fashion home furnishings. This was aimed at middle and upper-middle income consumers. In addition to its department store operations the company maintained a partnership position in five operating shopping center ventures. Each of these centers had a retail outlet of the company. The store chain was formed in 1914 out of the bankruptcy of H.B. Claflin & Company. Its stores were separated into two store chains, Associated Dry Goods - with brands such as Lord & Taylor and Hengerer's - and Mercantile Stores Company. In May 1998 Mercantile Stores was acquired by Dillard's of Little Rock, Arkansas, for $2.9 billion (~$4.88 billion in 2022). Later that year, Dillard's announced plans to sell off 26 of the newly acquired locations where there already were Dillard's stores to The May Department Stores Company and Proffitt's Inc.

Fairfield High School is a public high school in Fairfield, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Fairfield City School District, and serves grades 10–12. The Fairfield City School district serves students in the city of Fairfield and Fairfield Township.

WCNW (1560 kHz) was an AM radio station broadcasting a Christian radio format, combining instructional religious shows with southern gospel music. Licensed to Fairfield, Ohio, it served the Cincinnati metropolitan area. The station was owned by Vernon R. Baldwin, Inc. By day, WCNW transmitted with 5,000 watts. As 1560 AM is a clear channel frequency, to protect other stations on the frequency, the station was required to sign off at night. During critical hours, it transmitted with 1,000 watts.

Greenhills is a village in Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,741 at the 2020 census. A planned community, it was established by the United States government during the Great Depression. Most of the village is a National Historic Landmark for its history as a planned modernist community.

Fairfield is a city in southern Butler County, Ohio, United States. It is a suburb located about 25 miles (40 km) north of Cincinnati and is situated on the east bank of the Great Miami River. The population was 44,907 as of the 2020 census. Incorporated in 1955 from portions of Fairfield Township, it includes the former hamlets of Symmes Corner, Fair Play, Furmandale, and Stockton. The Fairfield City School District is one of the largest in Ohio and serves both the City of Fairfield and Fairfield Township.
