University Christian School

Bishop Kenny High School (commonly referred to as Bishop Kenny or BKHS) is a private, college-preparatory, coeducational Catholic high school in Jacksonville, Florida. It is located in and administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of St. Augustine. The founder Archbishop Joseph Patrick Hurley established the school in 1952, following the merger of three previous Catholic high schools in the Jacksonville area. Bishop Kenny High School was renamed in honor of William John Kenny, the third bishop of the Diocese of St. Augustine. Bishop Kenny High School is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Bishop Kenny holds membership in the National Catholic Education Association, the Florida Catholic Conference, The College Board, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, and the Florida High School Athletic Association.Bishop Kenny's sports teams, commonly known by their "Crusaders" nickname, are sanctioned by the Florida High School Activities Association (FHSAA). In their 60-year history, the school's varsity sports teams have won thirty-seven state team championships.Among Bishop Kenny's alumni are the computer scientist Philip Don Estridge, the federal administrator Jim Towey, musicians Billy Powell and Virgil Roger du Pont III, the MLB All-Star Jonathan Papelbon, MLB player Ben Gamel, television host and model Yoanna House, anchor Donna Deegan, and head coach Pat McMahon.

Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, commonly known as DA or DASOTA, is a magnet high school in the San Marco neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida, United States. The school opened in 1922 as a primary school specifically for African American students. The school is named after a local civil rights activist, Douglas Anderson. In 1985, the school was renovated into a magnet high school specializing in performing, visual and language arts.

Metropolitan Park is a 32-acre (130,000 m2) urban waterfront park and concert venue located on the north bank of the St. Johns River in Downtown Jacksonville, Florida. It is projected to be the eastern terminus of the northbank Jacksonville Riverwalk.

The Grand Site is an archaeological site in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. The site includes a shell midden about 30 feet wide and 175 feet in diameter, with a sand mound immediately to the west. It is a product of the St. Johns archaeological culture spanning the St. Johns IIA through IIB periods. On June 20, 1975, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Daily's Place is an amphitheater in Downtown Jacksonville, Florida. The venue is connected to the south end of TIAA Bank Field and shares space with a "flex field" indoor practice facility for the Jacksonville Jaguars. It opened in May 2017 and seats 5,500 spectators. Since 2019, the amphitheater has become nationally known as the home venue for the U.S. professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Naming rights were secured by Daily's, a local convenience store chain.

The company is situated in Jacksonville, Florida and includes two facilities – one located in the Commodores Point area of Jacksonville the other on Mayport Naval Station. The main focus of the company is ship repair and conversion. The shipyard works on tankers and cargo ships, passenger vessels, tugs, barges, offshore supply vessels and offshore yachts. The company has 3600 feet of bulk-headed wharf, 210,000 sq. ft. of warehouse and shops, and resides on approximately 25 acres of property.

WGNE-FM (99.9 MHz) is a radio station licensed to Middleburg, Florida, United States, serving the Jacksonville metropolitan area. It is owned by Renda Media and airs a country music radio format as "99.9 Gator Country" and primarily competes against iHeartMedia-owned WQIK. WGNE's studios and offices are in the Arlington district of Jacksonville. The station transmits from a facility in downtown Jacksonville near the studios of First Coast News.

WEJZ (96.1 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Jacksonville, Florida. It is owned by Renda Broadcasting and airs a mainstream adult contemporary radio format. WEJZ is the Jacksonville affiliate for the syndicated Delilah and John Tesh. Between mid-November and December 26 each year, the station switches to all-Christmas music. WEJZ's studios and offices are located on Atlantic Boulevard in the Arlington district of Jacksonville, and the transmitter is downtown, on a tower used by other radio and TV stations. WEJZ is a Class C radio station, broadcasting at 100,000 watts effective radiated power (ERP) from an antenna at nearly 1,000 feet, height above average terrain (HAAT). The signal stretches from Brunswick, Georgia, to Gainesville, Florida.

The Gator Bowl was an American football stadium in Jacksonville, Florida. Originally built in 1927, all but a small portion was razed in 1994 in preparation for the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars' inaugural season; the reconstructed stadium became Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, now TIAA Bank Field. The old stadium and its replacement have hosted the Gator Bowl, a post-season college football bowl game, since its inception in 1946. It also hosted the Florida–Georgia game, an annual college football rivalry game between the University of Florida and the University of Georgia, and was home to several professional sports teams, including the Jacksonville Sharks and Jacksonville Express of the World Football League (WFL), the Jacksonville Tea Men soccer team, and the Jacksonville Bulls of the United States Football League.

TIAA Bank Field is an American football stadium located in Jacksonville, Florida, that primarily serves as the home facility of the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL) and the headquarters of the professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW).The stadium opened in 1995 as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium on the site of the old Gator Bowl Stadium (erected 1927), and included some portions of the older stadium. Located on the St. Johns River, it sits on 10 acres (4.0 ha) of land in downtown Jacksonville. In addition to hosting the Jaguars, the stadium is regularly used for college football, concerts, and other events. It is the regular site of the annual Florida–Georgia game, a college football rivalry game between the University of Florida and the University of Georgia. The stadium is also the home of the annual Gator Bowl, a post-season college bowl game. Additionally, the stadium hosted Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005 and is one of the venues used by the United States men's national soccer team. From 1997 to 2006, the stadium was named Alltel Stadium after communications company Alltel purchased naming rights. The facility was renamed EverBank Field in 2010, following the approval of a five-year, naming rights deal with the financial services company EverBank. The agreement was extended in 2014 for an additional 10 years. The Jaguars announced in February 2018 the stadium would be renamed TIAA Bank Field for the 2018 NFL season after EverBank was acquired by New York-based TIAA.The stadium temporarily played host to the New Orleans Saints during the 2021 NFL season after the team was forced to relocate from Caesars Superdome, owing to the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

The Isaiah David Hart Bridge is a truss bridge that spans the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida. It carries U.S. Route 1 Alternate (US 1 Alt.) and State Road 228 (SR 228). It is named after Isaiah Hart, the founder of Jacksonville. It was designed by Sverdrup & Parcel.
