Douglas Anderson School of the Arts

University Christian School is a private Christian school in Jacksonville, Florida, U.S. It is part of the ministry of the University Church, a local Baptist congregation. It serves students from pre-kindergarten through graduation. The school has a strong focus on sports and has won several state titles in various sports such as football, baseball and wrestling. The school was established as a segregation academy in order to keep white children away from minorities in response to court ordered desegregation of public schools.

Bishop Kenny High School (commonly referred to as Bishop Kenny or BKHS) is a private, college-preparatory, coeducational Catholic high school in Jacksonville, Florida. It is located in and administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of St. Augustine. The founder Archbishop Joseph Patrick Hurley established the school in 1952, following the merger of three previous Catholic high schools in the Jacksonville area. Bishop Kenny High School was renamed in honor of William John Kenny, the third bishop of the Diocese of St. Augustine. Bishop Kenny High School is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Bishop Kenny holds membership in the National Catholic Education Association, the Florida Catholic Conference, The College Board, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, and the Florida High School Athletic Association.Bishop Kenny's sports teams, commonly known by their "Crusaders" nickname, are sanctioned by the Florida High School Activities Association (FHSAA). In their 60-year history, the school's varsity sports teams have won thirty-seven state team championships.Among Bishop Kenny's alumni are the computer scientist Philip Don Estridge, the federal administrator Jim Towey, musicians Billy Powell and Virgil Roger du Pont III, the MLB All-Star Jonathan Papelbon, MLB player Ben Gamel, television host and model Yoanna House, anchor Donna Deegan, and head coach Pat McMahon.

Jacksonville Ice is a recreational ice rink in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to skating lessons, figure skating teams, indoor football, and recreational ice hockey, it serves as the home for the Southern Steam indoor football team. It has also served as the home arena for two professional minor league hockey teams, the Jacksonville Bullets and the Jacksonville Barracudas. The facility served as the home arena for the Jacksonville Bullets, which were owned by Jacksonville Ice owner Bob Sabourin. Later, the Jacksonville Barracudas of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) used it for training and as an alternate arena when scheduling conflicts precluded them from using their usual venue, the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. The Barracudas would later play their 2007–2008 season at the rink. The facility has also been used by the various amateur hockey and ice skating clubs, and by the University of Florida Gators club hockey team.

Villa Alexandria is a former plantation house in the San Marco neighborhood of Jacksonville, Florida. It was built in the 1870s by Alexander Mitchell and his wife, Martha. There were 140 acres (57 ha) of grounds of which 40 acres (16 ha) were under cultivation. In the 1920s, Villa Alexandria's gardens became part of "The Arbors", a residential property.

Metropolitan Park is a 32-acre (130,000 m2) urban waterfront park and concert venue located on the north bank of the St. Johns River in Downtown Jacksonville, Florida. It is projected to be the eastern terminus of the northbank Jacksonville Riverwalk.

The Isaiah David Hart Bridge is a truss bridge that spans the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida. It carries U.S. Route 1 Alternate (US 1 Alt.) and State Road 228 (SR 228). It is named after Isaiah Hart, the founder of Jacksonville. It was designed by Sverdrup & Parcel.

The Grand Site is an archaeological site in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. The site includes a shell midden about 30 feet wide and 175 feet in diameter, with a sand mound immediately to the west. It is a product of the St. Johns archaeological culture spanning the St. Johns IIA through IIB periods. On June 20, 1975, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville is an independent, coeducational private college preparatory school in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. It was founded in 1966 by the Episcopal Diocese of Florida. The school has two lower schools, a middle school and a high school and enrolls about 1,200 students a year.

The company is situated in Jacksonville, Florida and includes two facilities – one located in the Commodores Point area of Jacksonville the other on Mayport Naval Station. The main focus of the company is ship repair and conversion. The shipyard works on tankers and cargo ships, passenger vessels, tugs, barges, offshore supply vessels and offshore yachts. The company has 3600 feet of bulk-headed wharf, 210,000 sq. ft. of warehouse and shops, and resides on approximately 25 acres of property.

Kings Avenue station is a Jacksonville Skyway station in Jacksonville, Florida. It is located on Onyx Street between Prudential Drive and Louisa Street in the Southbank area of Downtown Jacksonville.

The Red Bank Plantation House is a historic former plantation house in Jacksonville, Florida. Built in 1854 as the main house for the Red Bank plantation, it is now a private residence within the Colonial Manor area of Jacksonville's San Marco neighborhood. It is located at 1230 Greenridge Road, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 18, 1972.

The South Jacksonville Grammar School (also known as The Lofts San Marco) is a historical school building in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. It is located at 1450 Flagler Avenue. On April 15, 2004, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historical Places.
