The New Frontiers School Board (NFSB, French: Commission scolaire New-Frontiers, CSNF) is an English-language school board in the province of Quebec. The school board was formerly known as the Chateauguay Valley English Protestant School Board until the Province of Quebec opted for linguistic, rather than Roman Catholic and Protestant, school boards. It was renamed to reflect the regions that were initially placed under the oversight of the NFSB; however, the board's boundaries have returned to their original scope. The territory borders the United States to the south, Ontario to the west, the St. Lawrence River to the north, and Kahnawake to the east.

CHAI-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Châteauguay, Quebec, near Montreal. It broadcasts on 101.9 MHz with an effective radiated power of 100 watts (class A1) using an omnidirectional antenna. The station also operates a co-channel repeater, CHAI-FM-1 in Candiac, also on 101.9 FM. The use of two transmitters is in order to protect several co-channel and adjacent-channel stations in nearby areas, the closest being CIBL-FM and CINQ-FM in Montreal, plus co-channel CJSS-FM in Cornwall, Ontario. (CBMG-FM in Cowansville, a local repeater of CBME-FM that also broadcasts at 101.9, did not sign on until 2002.) The station operates under a community radio licence and has a variety format. It opened in 1980.In December 2015, CHAI-FM announced plans to replace its two-transmitter system with a single transmitter, from a location southeast of CHAI-FM's main Châteauguay transmitter. The new transmitter would broadcast at 238 watts, with a directional antenna set on an east–west pattern, also to protect nearby stations as discussed above; this was due to synchronization and interference problems between the Châteauguay and Candiac transmitters, which is evident where the two transmitters overlap in an area between Lachine and Delson.The station is a member of the Association des radiodiffuseurs communautaires du Québec.

The Chateauguay Valley is an area of southwestern Quebec Canada, roughly encompassing the drainage basin of the Chateauguay River which flows from the Adirondack Mountains in northern New York state and joins the Saint Lawrence River near Montreal, Quebec. The Valley is mainly made up of rural communities and is known for its agriculture and apple orchards. It includes the area roughly stretching from Dundee and Huntingdon in the west to Hemmingford in the east and north to Châteauguay.

Châteauguay (English: SHAT-oh-gay, French: [ʃɑtoɡɛ], locally [-ɡe]) is an off-island suburb of Montreal, in southwestern Quebec, located both on the Chateauguay River and Lac St-Louis, which is a section of the St. Lawrence River. The Châteauguay River watershed has a relatively dense population of approximately 215,000 people who place significant stress on the region's water resources, 41% of which rely on groundwater as a source of supply. The river surface is generally frozen from mid-December to the end of March. Safe circulation on the ice is generally done from the end of December to the beginning of March. The water level of the river varies with the seasons and the precipitation.

CFQR (600 AM) is an English-language radio station in Montreal, Quebec.

CINW was the final call sign used by an English language AM radio station in Montreal, Quebec, which, along with French-language sister station CINF, ceased operations at 7:00 p.m. ET on January 29, 2010. Owned and operated by Corus Quebec, it broadcast on 940 kHz with a full-time power of 50,000 watts as a clear channel, Class A station, using a slightly directional antenna designed to improve reception in downtown Montreal. Due to its heritage, the station is generally considered to be Canada's first and oldest broadcasting station, as well as one of the first in the world.

The Kahnawake Sports Complexe is a 4,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Kahnawake 14, Quebec. It is home to the Les Condors de Kahnawake Tier II Junior "A" ice hockey team of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League.

Châteauguay is a provincial riding (electoral district) in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada, that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the city of Châteauguay. It was originally created in 1867 (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada). Its final election was in 1936. It disappeared in the 1939 and its successor electoral district was Châteauguay-Laprairie. However, Châteauguay-Laprairie only existed for one election. Châteauguay was re-created for the 1944 election. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it lost Sainte-Catherine to the newly created Sanguinet electoral district.

Mercier is a suburban town in southwestern Quebec, Canada, in the Roussillon Regional County Municipality. It is located on the Châteauguay River, southwest of Montreal. The population as of the Canada 2021 Census was 14,626.

CKRK-FM is an English-language Canadian radio station located in the Kahnawake Mohawk Territory, a First Nations reserve near Montreal, Quebec. It broadcasts on 103.7 MHz with an effective radiated power of 250 watts (class A1) using an omnidirectional antenna. Recent measurements indicate that the transmitter is pushing out 250 watts. The station is heard extremely well in Kahnawake and surrounding towns in the southwest sector of the Montérégie. Reception is also possible on the island of Montreal, particularly in the south and southwest sectors of the island. CKRK-FM was originally on 103.5 MHz with only 50 watts; it moved to its current frequency and raised its power in 1996, after another station, CJLM-FM, signed on the same channel in Joliette, causing interference. The station went on the air on March 30, 1981, and identifies itself as "K1037”. It originally had a country music format; starting in 1995, it moved to an adult contemporary format with significant time devoted to hip-hop programming during weeknights. K1037 still airs country music on the weekend and a recent survey showed that it still leads the way in country music listenership even though another station in Kahnawake plays an all country format. The Kanien'kehaka Onkwawenna Raotitiohkwa Language and Cultural Centre sponsors the station's 1-hour block of programming in Kanien'keha (i.e., "Mohawk language") on Wednesdays between noon and 1 p.m. The mainstay of K1037’s broadcast week and principal revenue generator is the Friday night "Radio Bingo" broadcast, from 7:30 PM to approximately 10:30 PM. This on-air bingo game draws in hundreds of players weekly from Kahnawake and the surrounding communities. In the last year (2019-2020) revenue from Commercial Advertising has increased dramatically. K1037 Radio has carried live play-by-play broadcasts of Kahnawake hockey and lacrosse games throughout the season. Previously, CKRK-FM aired play-by-play broadcasts of Montreal Expos baseball games in 1991 and 1992 on a number of occasions, when CJAD was not able to do so because of scheduling conflicts with Montreal Canadiens hockey games.In the fall of 2008, K1037, in conjunction with and with the assistance of the Kahnawake Fire Brigade, held a 55-hour-long Radiothon to raise funds towards the purchase of a new ladder truck for the Brigade. K1037 was successful in raising over $450,000 Canadian towards the $1.1 million price tag for the vehicle. On April 19, 2010, Montreal radio legend Ted Bird joined the morning show at K1037 after having left CHOM 97-7, his radio home of 25 years, after becoming increasingly disgruntled with the direction of the station. He would leave CKRK-FM on May 7, 2012, over mutual terms that was not revealed. The following week, Bird would return to the air after signing a two-year contract with CKGM.The station airs country music on weekends, from 6 a.m. Saturday to noon Sunday. In mid-2019, the Radio Station began playing a mostly Hot AC format with 80s and 90s and its audience began to grow. During the Pandemic of 2020, K1037 peaked at 42,000 listeners per day according to Stats Radio. The station now averages about 28,000 listeners per day (weekdays) and its longtime weekend country format has almost doubled its listenership since becoming automated in the last year from January 2020 to January 2021. While the 'Country Weekend' has grown it is still far behind CKRK's Weekday audience. In June of 2022 it was announced that Montreal radio veteran Chris Reiser will join the team as program director.
