Bohermore Cemetery (also known as New Cemetery) is a large cemetery located in Bohermore, an area of Galway, Ireland.

Coláiste na Coiribe is a Gaelscoil in Galway, Ireland. The school is administered by the Galway and Roscommon ETB. There are about 550 students enrolled, making it the world's largest all-Irish language education institution.

The siege of Galway took place from August 1651 to 12 May 1652 during the Cromwellian conquest of Ireland. Galway was the last city held by Irish Catholic forces in Ireland and its fall signalled the end to most organised resistance to the Parliamentarian conquest of the country. The Ceannt Station Quarter (Irish: Ceathrú Staisiún Cheannt) is a proposed urban quarter for the city of Galway, County Galway, Ireland. As the name suggests, the new district had been proposed to be built around the city's rail station, Ceannt Station, which was also due to undergo a major redevelopment as part of the project. The project was "abandoned" in 2012. In early 2020, it was reported that an updated planning application for the development site was due to be lodged with Galway City Council. The updated plan, titled "Augustine Hill", would cover an eight-acre site around Ceannt Station "if planning permission is granted".

An Taibhdhearc is the national Irish language theatre of Ireland. It was founded in 1928. The word taibhdhearc appears as a gloss for the Latin teatrum (theatre) in an old Irish document, derived from roots meaning "dream" and "glance." The modern Irish for a theatre is amharclann. An Taibhdhearc is situated at 19 Middle Street, within the medieval city of Galway. It is built on the ruins of the city's original Augustinian friary. The rear wall incorporates a wall from this friary, including some carved stone window frames. The theatre is used for drama and music productions, and occasionally screens international films. The busiest period for the arts in Galway city each year is the two weeks of the annual Galway International Arts Festival.
