Renmore Barracks (Irish: Dún Uí Mhaoilíosa) is a military installation in Renmore, Ireland

Renmore (Irish: An Rinn Mhór, meaning 'big point (or headland)') is a suburb of Galway City, Ireland, situated approximately 2 km to the east of the city. Renmore runs east along the coast and south of Dublin Road, from the shore of Lough Atalia on its west side to Lurgan Park on its east. The area houses approximately 5,000 people and includes Ballyloughane beach, which also has camping facilities.

Bohermore Cemetery (also known as New Cemetery) is a large cemetery located in Bohermore, an area of Galway, Ireland.

Bohermore (Irish: An Bóthar Mór, meaning 'the big road') is an area of Galway, Ireland. It got this name as it was the main road into Galway City from the east in medieval times. There is a large cemetery located in Bohermore known as the "New Cemetery", which contains two mortuary chapels, one Catholic and the other Protestant. People buried there include the Irish-language writer and journalist Pádraic Ó Conaire (1882-1928), Lord Haw Haw (William Joyce) (1906-1946), an Irish-American who broadcast Nazi propaganda from Germany during World War II, and Lady Gregory (1852-1932), a founding member of the Irish Literary Theatre movement, who hosted a literary and artistic salon in her house at Coole Park, in rural south Galway.

Coláiste na Coiribe is a Gaelscoil in Galway, Ireland. The school is administered by the Galway and Roscommon ETB. There are about 550 students enrolled, making it the world's largest all-Irish language education institution.

Liam Mellows GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Renmore, a suburb of Galway City, Ireland. The club is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. The club is named after IRB member Liam Mellows. On 12 November 2017, Liam Mellows reached their first Galway Senior Hurling Championship final since 1970 after defeating Cappataggle by 0-13 to 1-9 in Athenry. On 3 December 2017 they beat Gort to win the championship.They were defeated by the All Ireland Champions Cuala in the semi final in Thurles.

The Bon Secours Hospital, Galway is a private hospital in County Galway, Ireland. The hospital is part of Bon Secours Mercy Health. This includes sister hospitals in Cork, Dublin, Limerick and Tralee. The hospital sees over 18,000 patients per annum, comprising 6,000 in-patients and 12,000 day-cases.

The People's Park is the largest public park in Waterford city, Ireland. Laid out over a century ago, its 6.6 hectares (16.3 acres) comprise the foremost public green space in the city. It is located at the junction of the Park Road and William Street. The current site of the People's Park was originally a marshland which John's River ran through, however in 1857 the river was diverted and the marshland drained to make way for the construction of the park. The park contains a Victorian-era bandstand, the Goff cycle track, a children's playground, a spherical monument and water feature and an old painted iron bridge connecting the park to the grounds of the Court House. The park has been renovated and upgraded in recent years. The old caretaker's house has been carefully renovated and a small extension has been added with the Park Lodge café now occupying the structure. A baby playground area has also been built. On 12 July 2006, €1 million funding was announced to continue refurbishment. Perhaps the most important element of the aforementioned refurbishment is the inclusion of a skateboarding park.

The siege of Galway took place from August 1651 to 12 May 1652 during the Cromwellian conquest of Ireland. Galway was the last city held by Irish Catholic forces in Ireland and its fall signalled the end to most organised resistance to the Parliamentarian conquest of the country. The English Parliamentarians were commanded by Charles Coote, an English settler who had commanded Parliamentarian forces in the northwest of Ireland throughout the Irish Confederate Wars. Galway was garrisoned by Irish Confederate soldiers under Thomas Preston, many of whom had reached the city after an unsuccessful defence of Waterford.
