South Portland High School

South Portland is a city in Cumberland County, Maine, United States, and is the fourth-most populous city in the state, incorporated in 1898. At the 2020 census, the city population was 26,498. Known for its working waterfront, South Portland is situated on Portland Harbor and overlooks the skyline of Portland and the islands of Casco Bay. Due to South Portland's close proximity to air, marine, rail, and highway transportation options, the city has become a center for retail and industry in the region. Despite the name, South Portland was never part of the city of Portland, but rather part of Cape Elizabeth. It broke off in 1895. However, both Cape Elizabeth and Portland were once part of Falmouth. Cape Elizabeth, then including what later became South Portland, broke away from Falmouth in 1765. South Portland is a principal city of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford metropolitan area.

Forest City Cemetery is a 97-acre (39 ha) cemetery in South Portland, Maine, owned and operated by the adjacent city of Portland. There are approximately 30,000 burials in the cemetery. Its burial records are kept at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland.When the land was purchased in 1858, it cost the city $50,000. The first plot was established later that year; however, the oldest grave found in the cemetery is that of Sara Strout, who died in 1810. Her grave is the only lasting grave that is legible amongst the slate graves in the tree line.As of 1870, the cemetery had 24 burials of American Civil War veterans. It also contains one Commonwealth war grave, of a Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve seaman of World War I.In April 2016, the cemetery was vandalized. Four headstones were overturned and a number of others damaged.

New England Bible College is a small four-year coeducational Bible college in South Portland, Maine. There are on average 50 to 60 enrolled students each semester.

The South Portland Armory is an historic armory building in South Portland, Maine, United States. The structure was built in 1941 to support nearby U.S. war production for World War II, including the building of liberty ships. It was built in the Art Deco style and was used by the Maine National Guard until 1996. In 2012, it was listed on Greater Portland Landmarks' Places in Peril list.

The Dyer–Hutchinson Farm is a historic farm property at 1148 Sawyer Road in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Established about 1790, it is one of the few surviving 18th-century farms in the town, and was in the hands of two families for about 200 years. It is now operated as the Old Farm Christmas Place, with some of its land devoted to the cultivation of Christmas trees. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Seavey-Robinson House is a historic house built in the Carpenter Gothic style in South Portland, Maine. Built c. 1854–57, it is a rare example of a Carpenter Gothic cottage, originally built in a rural setting, since urbanized. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The South Portland Public Library is the public library serving South Portland, Maine.In 1965, ground was broken for the $300,579 library building. The doors were opened for service to the public in 1966.The Memorial Branch Library was opened on Wescott Road in 1976.

The Harrison Bird Brown House is an historic house at 400 Danforth Street in the West End of Portland, Maine, United States. It was built in 1861 for Harrison Bird Brown (1831–1915), one of Maine's best-known painters of the late 19th century, and was his home and studio until 1892. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Maine Publicity Bureau Building is a historic commercial building at 501 Danforth Street in Portland, Maine, United States. Built in 1936, it is a local example of Colonial Revival architecture and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990 for its association with early formalized efforts by the state to promote tourism.

The Western Cemetery is an urban cemetery in Portland, Maine, United States. At one time Portland's home for the "poor and indigent", the cemetery is named for its location in city's West End neighborhood and proximity to the Western Promenade. Founded in the 18th century, the land was acquired by the city in 1829. In 1841, the city expanded the cemetery to its present 12 acres (4.9 ha). The Western Cemetery was Portland's primary cemetery from 1829 to 1852, when Evergreen Cemetery was established in the suburb of Deering. It was an active cemetery until 1910. In October 2003, the cemetery began a restoration and reconstruction project was run by the Stewards of the Western Cemetery and the City of Portland and funded with municipal funds.

The Gothic House, also known as the John J. Brown House, is an historic house at 387 Spring Street in Portland, Maine. Built in 1845, it is one of Maine's finest and earliest known examples of Gothic Revival architecture. Although it is virtually unaltered, it was moved down Spring Street in 1971 to avoid demolition. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Waynflete School is a private, coeducational, college preparatory day school established in 1898 for early childhood education (from age 3) to twelfth grade, in Portland, Maine.
