G. H. Mumm & Cie is a Champagne house founded in 1827 and based in Reims, France. G.H. Mumm is one of the largest Champagne houses and is currently ranked 4th globally based on number of bottles sold. The company is owned by Pernod Ricard.G.H. Mumm was the official sponsor of F1 racing from 2000 until 2015 and provided the champagne bottles for the podium celebrations after each race. G.H. Mumm Cordon Rouge is also the official champagne of the Kentucky Derby and the Melbourne Cup.

The championships were held on a 7.8-kilometre circuit for the amateurs and professionals. The 1958 UCI Road World Championships was the 31st edition of the UCI Road World Championships. It took place from 30-31 August 1958 in Reims, France. The course partly ran over the Reims-Gueux circuit. For the first time, a women's world championship was on the program. The race, with a course of 59 km (3 rounds), was won by Elsy Jacobs from Luxembourg with almost a three-minute lead. There were 29 participants. The world title among the amateurs, who also rode on Saturday, went to the East German Gustav-Adolf Schur. He was the first German to become world amateur champion. The men's professional road race had a course of 276 km (14 rounds). It was won by Italian Ercole Baldini. In the same period, the 1958 UCI Track Cycling World Championships was organized in the Parc des Princes, Paris, France.

Reims ( REEMZ, US also , French: [ʁɛ̃s] ; also spelled Rheims in English) is the most populous city in the French department of Marne, and the 12th most populous city in France. Krug Champagne is a Champagne house founded by Joseph Krug in 1843. It is based principally in Reims, the main city in France's Champagne region and is one of the famous Champagne houses that formed part of the Grandes marques. Today the house is majority owned by the multinational conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton S.E. whose portfolio includes other well known wine brands such as Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Château d'Yquem and Ruinart. Despite LVMH's majority ownership, the Krug family is still actively involved in all the key decisions of the house but does not manage the day-to-day operations.

The Protestant Church of Reims (French: Temple protestant de Reims) is a large Protestant church in Reims, France, built in 1921–1923 to replace an earlier building that had been destroyed during World War I (1914–1918). The building is in flamboyant Neo-Gothic style. Originally the interior was decorated with Art Deco frescoes, but these deteriorated and have been painted over.

The Place Royale (French pronunciation: [plas ʁwajal], meaning "Royal Square") is a square in Reims, France. A bronze statue of King Louis XV stands in its center, commissioned by the city from the sculptor Jean-Baptiste Pigalle and inaugurated on 26 August 1765, depicting "the sovereign in Roman garb, with laurels on his head and one hand extended 'to take the people under his protection.'" The square is a monument historique of France.

Charles de Cazanove is a Champagne producer based in Reims in the region of Champagne. The house was founded in Avize in 1811 by Charles Gabriel de Cazanove, and was further developed by his botanist son Charles Nicolas de Cazanove who was a leader in the efforts to fight phylloxera.The house produces approximately 3,000,000 bottles annually.
