Corinthians A.F.C. is a football club from Douglas on the Isle of Man. They compete in the Isle of Man Football League. They wear white shirts with black shorts and socks and play their home games at Ballafletcher in Douglas. The club reserve team play in the Isle of Man Football Combination and they also have a women's team.

Gymnasium F.C. are a football club from Douglas on the Isle of Man. They compete in the Isle of Man Football League. They wear a blue and white striped shirt, black shorts, black socks and play their home games at Tromode Park in Douglas.

Braddan Bridge (Irish: Naomh Breandán, Saint Brendan of Clonfert, the Navigator or the Voyager) is a bridge over the river Dhoo on the Douglas to Peel road, from which a halt on the Isle of Man Railway's first line to Peel took its name. It is a landmark on the Isle of Man TT road-race course, situated in the countryside close to the outskirts of Douglas town where motorcycles slow to negotiate a left-right 'S' bend over the river. A traditional viewing spot with seating, in common with other vantage points around the local Douglas area, it is within walking distance of the Ferry Terminal where sea ferries from England, Scotland and Ireland traditionally disembarked day-trip or longer-stay passengers.

Quarterbridge Road (Manx: The Quarters or Quarter Dub – quarterlands of Ballabrooie and Ballaquayle) is a section of roadway notable for its inclusion in the Isle of Man TT races. It is adjacent to the 1st Milestone road-side marker measured from the startline at TT Grandstand used for the Snaefell Mountain Course on the primary A2 Ramsey to Douglas road in the town of Douglas, Isle of Man. The Quarterbridge Road runs from the bottom of Bray Hill to the major road junction at the Quarterbridge, where it meets the primary A1 Douglas to Peel road and the A5 Douglas to Port Erin road. The A2 Quarterbridge Road also has minor side-road junctions in the residential outskirts of Douglas town. The start of Quarterbridge Road is the site of the area which famously became known as Ago's Leap, after motorsport photographer, the late B.R. 'Nick' Nicholls, took a photograph of motorcycle racer Giacomo Agostini wheelying during the 1970 TT Senior race riding his MV Agusta.

The Clypse Course describes a motor-cycle racing course used for the Isle of Man TT Races between 1954 and 1959. The course is 10.92 mi (17.57 km) long and is in the parish of Onchan in the Isle of Man. The course uses two short sections of the Snaefell Mountain Course which includes the primary A18 road between Cronk-ny-Mona and Creg-ny-Baa used in the reverse direction. Also, the primary A18 Mountain Road between Signpost Corner and Governor's Bridge. The highest point of the course is 856 ft (261 m) above sea level at Ballacarrooin Hill (Ordnance Survey grid reference SC 406 827). The name Clypse is probably a contraction from the Scandinavian word Kleppsstar ( Kleppr's farm) which gives the modern name of Clypse Beg and Clypse Mooar.

Highroads Course was a road-racing circuit used for the Gordon Bennett British Eliminating Trial held in the Isle of Man for the 1904 and 1905 Tourist Trophy Race involving touring automobiles and cars. The events were held on public roads closed for racing by an Act of Tynwald (the parliament of the Isle of Man).

The Four Inch Course was a road-racing circuit first used for the 1908 Tourist Trophy Race for cars, held on public roads closed for racing by an Act of Tynwald (the parliament of the Isle of Man). The name of the course derives from the regulations for the 1908 Tourist Trophy adopted by the Royal Automobile Club, which limited the competitors' engines to a cylinder-diameter of four inches. The Four-Inch Course was adopted by the Auto-Cycle Club for the 1911 Isle of Man TT Races. The Four-Inch Course was subsequently known as the Snaefell Mountain Course or Mountain Course when used for motor-cycle racing.

Tromode is a village in Braddan parish, Isle of Man. It is on the boundary with and partly within the borough of Douglas, and is within the Douglas conurbation. During the period of Manx nationalism, Ny Troor Tromode ("The Tromode Three") committed acts of arson and vandalism on the island.

Noble’s Hospital is a hospital on the Isle of Man. It is one of only two hospitals on the island, and as of 1 April 2021, is run by Manx Care; having previously been run by the Department of Health and Social Care

Ballamona Hospital was an asylum located in Braddan, Isle of Man. It was known as the Isle of Man Lunatic Asylum until 1934 when it became the Isle of Man Mental Hospital. From 1955 it was known as Ballamona Hospital.It was built in 1868, then called the Mental Hospital, and 76 patients were admitted. In 1925 there were 254 patients at the hospital with a further 65 at the nearby Home for the Poor.In 1948, there were 345 beds, and it had a farm and market gardens where patients worked. There was an annexe, Ard Aalin, for voluntary patients. It was renamed Ballamona Hospital on the establishment of the health service.It was demolished in 1998, to make way make way for the new Noble's Hospital installations.

Quarterbridge (The Quarters or Quarter Dub: quarterlands of Ballabrooie and Ballaquayle) is situated soon after the 1 mile-marker measured from the TT Grandstand, part of the Snaefell Mountain Course used for the Isle of Man TT races, at the junction of the primary A1 Douglas to Peel road, A2 Douglas to Ramsey road and the A5 Douglas to Port Erin road which forms the boundary between the parishes of Braddan and Onchan in the Isle of Man.

Quarterbridge Crossing (Manx: Crossag Droghad y Cherroo) was the first major crossing point of the Isle of Man Railway's first line from Douglas to Peel. It opened in 1873, but closed in 1968, with the rest of the line.
