Moreau Catholic High School is a college preparatory Roman Catholic secondary school sponsored by the Moreau Province of the Congregation of the Holy Cross. It is located in Hayward, California, within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oakland under the care of Michael C. Barber, the Bishop of Oakland. It opened in 1965 as an all-boys Catholic High School, temporarily located on the parish grounds of St. Bede's Church. That same year, construction of the permanent campus began at the current location. That construction was completed in the spring of 1967. At the request of Bishop Floyd Begin, Moreau became a coeducational institution in 1969, with the admission of 177 ninth grade girls. Moreau has twice been named a Blue Ribbon School.

Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is a cemetery in Hayward, California. It is a Catholic cemetery run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oakland, which also operates the Holy Angels Funeral and Cremation Center at the same location. It was the first Catholic Church-owned funeral home in the U.S.The cemetery planted 3 acres of vineyards to provide grapes for sacramental wine used by the Oakland Diocese. The wine is bottled at Rockwall Winery in Alameda, which also sources grapes from Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch, and St. Joseph's Cemetery in San Pablo. The cemetery vineyards are believed to be the only such vineyards in the United States.

The Dust Networks product team operates in the IoT Networking Platforms group of Analog Devices. Dust Networks works with industry and standards groups such as WirelessHART, IEEE and IETF to help drive the adoption of interoperable wireless sensor networking products.

Rancho Arroyo de la Alameda was a 17,705-acre (71.65 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Alameda County, California. It was given in 1842 by Governor Juan B. Alvarado to José de Jesús Vallejo. The grant extended along Alameda Creek and encompassed present day Union City, Niles and Mount Eden.

E. Guy Warren Hall, commonly known as Warren Hall, was a 13-story building at California State University, East Bay. It was the signature building of the campus in Hayward, California, overlooking the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. The building was visible from cities throughout the Bay Area, and served as a landmark for Hayward and the East Bay. It was the tallest building in Hayward at the time, followed by the abandoned City Center Building in downtown Hayward.

Pioneer Gym is a 2,500 seat multi-purpose arena in Hayward, California built in 1967. It is the home of the California State University, East Bay Pioneers men's and women's basketball teams and women's volleyball team.

The university is part of the 23-campus California State University system and offers 136 undergraduate and 60 post-baccalaureate areas of study. Founded in 1957, California State University, East Bay has a student body of almost 14,000. As of Fall 2021, it had 863 faculty, of whom 358 (41%) were on the tenure track. The university's largest and oldest college campus is located in Hayward, with additional campus-sites in the nearby cities of Oakland and Concord. With multiple campuses across the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area, the school changed its name from California State University, Hayward to its present name in 2005. Cal State East Bay is a Hispanic-serving institution and an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution.

Pioneer Stadium is a soccer and track & field stadium owned and operated by California State University, East Bay in Hayward, California, United States. It currently hosts the East Bay Pioneers soccer and track & field teams. The stadium also hosts the East Bay FC Stompers of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) since the team's debut season at this stadium in 2016.

The Pioneer Amphitheatre is an amphitheatre located at the north-eastern corner of the Hayward Hills Campus of California State University, East Bay in Hayward, California. The venue is managed by the Sequoia Management Group. In addition to outdoor concerts and university functions the Pioneer Amphitheatre is also plays host to numerous graduation ceremonies of local high schools and is an assembly area for the university in the event of a disaster or emergency.

Memorial Park, in Hayward, California, is a public park managed by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. The park contains an indoor swim center, the Hayward Plunge, which opened in 1936. The park is the access point to the Greenbelt Trails, which follow Ward Creek Canyon adjacent to California State University, East Bay. The park has a small bandstand with musical events offered on major holidays. It borders on Mount Saint Joseph Cemetery (also known as All Saints or Portuguese Cemetery) which was first established in 1875. It is operated by the All Saints Catholic Church in Hayward. Many of the historic gravestone inscriptions are in Portuguese.

Schafer Park, California was an unincorporated suburban community absorbed into Hayward, California, at the same time as the acquisition of Mount Eden. It was named for A.W. Schafer, a German immigrant who purchased land in the area in the 1860s. The family sold its land to a real estate developer in the 1950s. Schafer Park was located between Hayward and Mount Eden.
