Bremerton High School is four-year public secondary school in the port city of Bremerton, Washington, west across Puget Sound from Seattle, in the Bremerton School District. Between 1993 and 2007, Bremerton High School contained grades 10–12 for enrolled students, but starting in the 2008 school year, the school facilitates grades 9–12, where grade 9 was previously contained at Bremerton Junior High School. Several changes in the district's grade configuration have meant freshmen have been in and out of the building. In 2015, the school came to national attention following the suspension of football coach Joe Kennedy, who would pray at the 50-yard line of the field after varsity games. In 2022, the resulting lawsuit reached the Supreme Court, where it was decided in Kennedy v. Bremerton School District (2022) that Kennedy's First Amendment rights had been violated by the suspension.

The Port Washington Narrows is a tidal strait located in Bremerton, Washington, United States. The northwest entrance is marked on the west side by Rocky Point, and the southeast entrance is located between Point Turner on the west side and Point Herron on the east side. The Narrows divides downtown Bremerton from the Manette Peninsula. It is through this 3-mile (5 km) channel that Dyes Inlet drains into Sinclair Inlet and into Puget Sound. Tidal currents attain velocities in excess of 4 knots at times. The Port Washington Narrows divides the city of Bremerton into east and west portions, which are connected by the Manette Bridge and the Warren Avenue Bridge. There are a number of petroleum distribution facilities with storage tanks and receiving wharves along the western shore of the Narrows between the Manette Bridge and Phinney Bay.

The Bremerton Elks Temple Lodge No. 1181 Building overlooks the busy corner of Fifth Street and Pacific Avenue in downtown Bremerton, Washington. It was built in 1920 and renovated in 1947–48. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. It is now known as Catholic Charities' Max Hale Center. It is a wood-frame building with a brick veneer on a concrete foundation, and has a sheet metal cornice. It was constructed in 1920 for the Bremerton Elks Lodge (BPOE 1181) with a Classical Revival design by architect Joseph Wohleb of Olympia. During 1947-48 it was enlarged and modified in the Moderne style, with design by Williams-Davis & Associates, a Bremerton architecture and engineering firm.A grand exterior staircase once fronted the building. This was removed when the current white cube of first-floor space in front of the building was constructed in the 1940s. The white cube space, still existing, held a Payless Drug Store.In 2010, a center to serve at-risk youths was proposed as a use for the building, which was empty on at least its first floor. There was some community opposition to the proposed center, which was to be run by Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services.What was eventually developed was 53 units of low-income permanent housing.

The Officers' Row Historic District is a National Historic District in Bremerton, Washington. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It represents the industrial function of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Shore Facility. Built between 1896 and 1913, the buildings were constructed to provide adequate housing for the officers responsible for the shipyard and industrial area. Officers' Quarters A, B, C, D and E were designed by the Seattle architectural firm of Chamberlin and Siebrand in 1896. This established the dominant architectural style in the shipyard. The homes form a line along the bluff overlooking the yard. As new quarters were needed, they were added into the line.

The Marine Reservation Historic District is in the northwestern area of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, just west of the Hospital Reservation Historic District. Beginning in 1911 it reached its maximum development, prior to World War II. The district included four standing buildings and a barracks, which has been demolished. The barracks was a 3+1⁄2-story brick building similar in design to the other buildings. All of the buildings face the Marine parade ground, which is used as a playfield. The four two-story quarters of brick have Colonial Revival influences in the Georgian Colonial details. Quarters M-l, M-2 and M-3 were designed by Washington, D.C. architect J.H. DeDibour in 1910. The district is a man-made bench cut into the hillside. Each building has a front, side and rear lawn, native plantings and garden areas. The garages were built in the 1930s.One year after the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard was established its founding commandant, Lieutenant Ambrose B. Wyckoff, requested a Marine detachment to provide yard security. It was not until 1896, however, that First Sergeant George Carter, along with twenty Marines, were sent to Bremerton. The Marine Reservation was established on what is now the corner of the yard bounded by Chester Avenue and the alley south of Burwell Street. By 1899, an officers quarters and barracks building had been constructed. Constructed between 1911 and 1914, the buildings in this district symbolize the role which the Marine Corps played as a security and training arm of the United States Navy, a function which began at the shipyard in 1896 and continued until 1977, when the function was moved to Subase Bangor.

USS Bremerton (CA-130), was a Baltimore-class heavy cruiser, named for the city of Bremerton in Washington state.

The Manette Bridge was a steel truss bridge that spanned the Port Washington Narrows in Bremerton, Washington, USA. It connected the community of Manette, Washington to downtown Bremerton. Although it is not part of a numbered state highway, it is one of four bridges specifically designated by state law to be maintained by the Washington Department of Transportation. The bridge was 82 feet (25 m) above the water, and had a horizontal clearance of 321 feet (98 m) between the piers.

Bremerton is a city in Kitsap County, Washington. The population was 43,505 at the 2020 census and an estimated 44,122 in 2021, making it the largest city on the Kitsap Peninsula. Bremerton is home to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and the Bremerton Annex of Naval Base Kitsap. Bremerton is connected to downtown Seattle by two ferries: a 60-minute ferry that carries both vehicles and walk-on passengers, and a 28-minute Fast Ferry that carries passengers and a limited number of bicycles.

USS Turner Joy (DD-951) is one of 18 Forrest Sherman-class destroyers of the United States Navy. She was named for Admiral Charles Turner Joy USN (1895–1956). Commissioned in 1959, she spent her entire career in the Pacific. She participated extensively in the Vietnam War, and was one of the principal ships involved in the Gulf of Tonkin incident. Decommissioned in 1982, she is now a museum ship in Bremerton, Washington.

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, officially Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF), is a United States Navy shipyard covering 179 acres (0.7 km2) on Puget Sound at Bremerton, Washington in uninterrupted use since its establishment in 1891; it has also been known as Navy Yard Puget Sound, Bremerton Navy Yard, and the Bremerton Naval Complex. It is bordered on the south by Sinclair Inlet, on the west by the Bremerton Annex of Naval Base Kitsap, and on the north and east by the city of Bremerton, Washington. It is the Pacific Northwest's largest naval shore facility and one of Washington state's largest industrial installations. PSNS & IMF provides the Navy with maintenance, modernization, and technical and logistics support, and employs 14,000 people.

The Kitsap Regional Library is a public library system in Kitsap County, Washington. Founded in 1944 as the Kitsap County Rural Library District, the library system serves over 277,000 Kitsap residents with nine locations across the county and through a variety of outreach services. The Library provides access to over 400,000 items in its physical collection as well as access to downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, and music. Library patrons can also access popular digital resources such as AllData Repair, Ancestry.com, Consumer Reports, Learning Express and Mango Languages. Kitsap Regional Library is a primarily tax-funded organization overseen by a five-member Board of Trustees. Board members represent the five geographic regions of Kitsap County - which include Bainbridge, Bremerton, North Kitsap, South Kitsap, and Central Kitsap - and are appointed for five-year terms.Along with these funds, the Library relies on local civic organizations, seven Friends of the Library organizations, Bainbridge Library, Inc. and the Kitsap Regional Library Foundation, which contributes approximately $300,000 combined annually to support programs and the maintenance of Library spaces. Additionally, the efforts of these groups have made possible the building of a new library in Kingston and the building of a new library in Silverdale.

Naval Station Bremerton is a former station of the United States Navy that was merged with Naval Submarine Base Bangor into Naval Base Kitsap in 2004. Kitsap serves as host command for the Navy's fleet throughout the Pacific Northwest. It is home to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. In addition to performing drydock and overhaul services for active naval vessels, it is also home to an inactive ship facility for several decommissioned warships, including aircraft carriers. Naval Hospital Bremerton is also located aboard the installation as a tenant command.
