Saint Mary's Hospital is a hospital in Manchester, England. It is part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Founded in 1790, St Mary's provides a range of inter-related services specifically for women and children.

The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital is a children's hospital in Oxford Road, Manchester, England. The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital is managed by the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

Union Baptist Chapel was a Christian place of worship in the Fallowfield area of Manchester on the Oxford Road just north of York Place Road, opposite Whitworth Park. The congregation, founded in 1842, pre-dated the building, having previously met at a chapel just beyond Grafton Street. They called the accomplished Scottish minister, Alexander Maclaren, in 1858. The building was completed in 1869, and was often filled to capacity (1500) during his 45-year ministry. Jubilee celebrations were held in 1919 to celebrate 50 years of the building.Union Baptist Chapel was badly damaged by bombing in 1940 during the Second World War. This led to the congregation holding shared meetings with Fallowfield Baptist Church from 1941. The two congregations eventually amalgamated in 1949 to form what is now Baptist Union Chapel, Fallowfield.

Hulme Hall is a university hall of residence in Rusholme, Manchester, England, 1.5 miles south of Manchester city centre, housing 300 students from the University of Manchester. The facilities include a purpose-built lecture theatre with 300 seats (John Hartshorne Centre), the Old Dining Hall, the Library, the Chapel, the Senior Common Room and the Seminar Room. It is a Grade II listed building. It should not be confused with the historic Hulme Hall in Hulme, Manchester, on the right bank of the River Irwell, which has been demolished. The hall is one of the oldest in Manchester: it was founded in association with Owens College. It was named after the Lancashire lawyer and landowner William Hulme whose Hulme Trust funded the Hall's foundation. Houldsworth Hall, part of the Hulme Hall complex of buildings, was constructed in 1907 (Edwardian), whereas most of the local buildings are Victorian, for example the Anglican parish church (St John Chrysostom) which was built in 1874 - 1877. Local student attractions include the Whitworth Art Gallery and the Curry Mile on Wilmslow Road. Birley, another building of residence has recently been seen as the most influential and important building in Hulme Hall. Notable people to have lived in this building are Theo Gerin of the house of Luxembourg and Samuel Spence the renowned composer and physicist. In recent years, there has been a feud between the Birley building and Houldsworth building over superiority, which came to a bubbling point when, in December 2020, house Birley stole the Hulme Hall Christmas tree and placed it inside Houldsworth, framing them, in what is now known as 'The Great Christmas Tree Heist'. Tensions were high between the two houses ever since then, however, after a party in Houldsworth that Birley invaded, the beef was squashed and they agreed to live amicably from then on. It is still unknown whether mind-altering substances helped aid this sudden forgiveness from both sides.

Manchester Royal Infirmary is a hospital in Manchester, England, founded by Charles White in 1752. It is now part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, sharing buildings and facilities with several other hospitals.

Central Manchester University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, established in 2009, ran eight hospitals in Manchester and Trafford: Manchester Royal Infirmary, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Saint Mary's Hospital, Manchester, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and University Dental Hospital of Manchester in Manchester, and Trafford General Hospital, Altrincham Hospital and Stretford Memorial Hospital in Trafford. It is a teaching hospital of the School of Medicine, University of Manchester and one of the Shelford Group. Sir Mike Deegan has been Chief Executive since 2001. He was reckoned by the Health Service Journal to be the 54th most influential person in the English NHS in 2015.

The Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC; ) is an academic health science centre based in Manchester, United Kingdom. It is a partnership between The University of Manchester and four NHS organisations in Greater Manchester. It was originally established in June 2008, with re-designation most recently in April 2020 by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and NHS England / NHS Improvement. It is now one of eight academic health science centres in England, designated for excellence in health research, education and patient care.

Manchester Royal Eye Hospital is an ophthalmic hospital in Oxford Road, Manchester, England, managed by the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. It is on the same site as Manchester Royal Infirmary and St Mary's Hospital for Women and Children.

Greygarth Hall is a catered inter-university hall of residence for men, situated in Victoria Park, south Manchester, England. It is one of the halls on the "Rusholme campus" within 3 minutes walk of the famous Curry Mile. Greygarth Hall was founded in 1961, and in 2010-11 was extensively refurbished. The hall is a grade II listed building and was a University of Manchester Licensed Hall from 1965 until the university abolished the 'licensed' state in the early 2000s. Greygarth is a voluntary organization run by residents of Greygarth Hall University Residence, which is promoted by the Greygarth Association, a registered charity working for the advancement of education in the light of Christian principles. Among the various activities that take place at Greygarth, those of a spiritual nature are entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal Prelature of the Catholic Church.

The Whitworth is an art gallery in Manchester, England, containing about 55,000 items in its collection. The gallery is located in Whitworth Park and is part of the University of Manchester. In 2015, the Whitworth reopened after it was transformed by a £15 million capital redevelopment that doubled its exhibition spaces, restored period features and opened itself up to its surrounding park. The gallery received more than 440,000 visitors in its first year and was awarded the Art Fund's Museum of the Year prize in 2015.In June 2017, Maria Balshaw stepped down as the director to take up her new role as the director of the Tate. Nick Merriman was acting interim director of the Whitworth.On 11 October 2018 it was announced that Alistair Hudson would be the new director of the Manchester Art Gallery and the Whitworth. Hudson, previously director at the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA), is a co-director of the Asociación de Arte Útil.

The Pankhurst Centre, 60–62 Nelson Street, Manchester, is a pair of Victorian villas, of which No. 62 was the home of Emmeline Pankhurst and her daughters Sylvia, Christabel and Adela and the birthplace of the suffragette movement in 1903.

Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (MIoIR) is a research institute based in Alliance Manchester Business School at the University of Manchester, UK. MIoIR is a centre of excellence in the field of innovation studies, which includes the overlap of innovation with science management and science policy. With over 50 full members, approximately 50 PhD researchers and a range of associated academics, MIoIR is Europe’s largest and one of the world’s leading research centres in its field. As a dedicated research centre, MIoIR is at the heart of innovation-related research in the Alliance Manchester Business School and The University of Manchester. The Institute is housed in the Denmark Building, Denmark Road, Manchester, opposite to Withworth Art Gallery while construction works continues to transform the Alliance Manchester Business School until Autumn 2018.
