Eighteen Mile Creek (also known as Eighteenmile Creek) is a tributary of Lake Erie located in southern Erie County, New York, United States. The creek is the second largest tributary of Lake Erie in New York State.The name is derived from the creek's distance south of the Niagara River in Buffalo. The creek was named Koughquaugu Creek by the Seneca Nation.

The Graycliff estate was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1926, and built between 1926 and 1931. It is approximately 17 miles southwest of downtown Buffalo, New York, at 6472 Old Lake Shore Road in the hamlet of Highland-on-the-Lake, with a mailing address of Derby. Situated on a bluff overlooking Lake Erie with sweeping views of downtown Buffalo and the Ontario shore, it is one of the most ambitious and extensive summer estates Wright designed. It is now fully restored and operates as a historic house museum, open for guided tours year round (with reduced activity during the winter). There is also a summer Market at Graycliff, free and open to the public on select Thursday evenings. Graycliff Conservancy is run by Executive Director Anna Kaplan, who was hired in 2019.

Derby is home to Highland Elementary School, part of the Lake Shore School District.Derby's retail district is centered on, and around, Erie Road (New York State Route 5) and includes a variety of stores and services including a Rite Aid, Tops Friendly Market, McDonald's, Autozone, the Derby Animal Hospital, Derby Optical Tim Hortons coffee shop, The Bagel Jar, and The Network Consulting Group of WNY [11]. Derby is located on the shores of Lake Erie in the southwest part of Erie County and 18 miles (29 km) southwest of Buffalo. In the first quarter of the 20th century, many wealthy Buffalo families (i.e. Larkin, Kellogg, Schoellkopf, Mann, Trubee, Esty, Schmidt, Coit) built their summer estates there, including one called "Graycliff" designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the family of Darwin Martin, an executive at the Larkin Soap Company. Also at Derby is the historic First Church of Evans Complex.

It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.The CDP is in the southwestern part of the county, in the northern part of the town of Evans. It sits on high ground on the shore of Lake Erie, on bluffs which in some places rise 100 feet (30 m) above the lake. New York State Route 5 runs through the CDP, leading northeast 16 miles (26 km) to Buffalo and southwest 27 miles (43 km) to Dunkirk. The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Graycliff is in the northern part of the CDP, overlooking Lake Erie.
